Lindsay, of all of the craft videos I watch on You Tube-yours are my favorites. You actually have a script, or an outline, and you follow it. I really appreciate your talent and skill, and especially appreciate your frugal approach to arts and crafts. I have used many of your ideas: I made my own gelli plates, re-inked my garage sale ink pads with watercolors and glycerine, and much more. Keep these wonderful videos coming. I couldn't survive without them. :)
This card is so simple yet so pretty Lindsay. The Stardust glitter pen touches here and there do make a huge difference w/o adding bulk. The faux printed paper strip on the bottom is genius. The winner tip is the envelope making "formula", so thanks a million for that one!
Seriously?? It's that easy to make an envelope?? I've been searching on "DIY envelopes" and here it is! I think you read my mind, lol.Gosh Girl, you are amazing. I love your coloring, your tips and just everything you do!!
When I lived in the countryside, I bought some stiff brushes from a farmers shop - think they were meant for cleaning dairy equipment....:) but they were cheap!
I have been keeping all your stamping videos in my own file on youtube to watch and for others to watch as well. Love the videos! Keep them up! Even though I am a crafter myself and have been since I was a child I still like to get new ideas from others and tips! Sometimes it helps artist and crafters to get fresh ideas like that from fellow artist and crafters I think! Thank's for sharing and God bless!
I should have known to watch you before I invested in an envelope maker that I can't figure out how to work it. This is so simple! Thanks so much for all your GREAT tips and techniques.
Yay for stamp school!! I love stamp school, thanks so much Lindsay for this series, even though I've watched just about all your videos, this is so easy. I have accumulated stamps and ink, even paper and card stock, but I'm just learning how to put it all together! So YAY! Alice
OMG the idea of the jenga block is just sooooo cool!!!!! thank you so much for that idea!!!!! Very very clever!!!! Love love love the cards! Always love love love your ideas!
Great as usual Lindsay! I never get disappointed to watch your videos. The big ones are great classes and the small ones are great as well. I wish I had more time to keep up with your production! Great job, and thanks for sharing! :D
Wow! Thank you!!! I am a beginner and just started few months ago. Buying the materials can get expensive. When I saw you are using the memento dew drop ink pad - I was like "really?" I thought I needed all the fancy copic markers and more die sets (I still want them though) but this tutorial is fantastic. I like simplicity and this one is simple but stand out! Now, I'm off to watch Stamp School 1 :) Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us.
Great tip on making an envelope...just in time too because I just finished making a card that is 8 inches square and have no envelope. Now I can make a pretty one. Thanks for all your tips through the years...I learned so much from you. Hugs! Karen
What a great tip on the envelope. I have watched a lot of water coloring videos but have never seen anyone use Momento ink to water color with. I never would have thought of using it. Thanks for a great video.
I do love and use the glitter gel pen all the time. Love it! I was so glad to see how easy that envelope was to make, just measure and add an inch and cut square. Too cool. THanks!!
I just made my first card. I painted it in watercolors because I have no stamps and I needed an envelope. This was Easy and really fit the bill. You're a peach Lindsey. Thanks so much!
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thank You so much for showing how to make an envelope ♡♡♡ I have been wanting to buy myself one of those envelope template thingys but they're so expensive. Now I know how to make one any size I want, without buying one. Very happy!!!
As usual, I absolutely love your videos. I have some beautiful Asian inspired stamps and plan to create a card when I get home. Thanks sooo much for sharing! 👍
Lovely card as always! About the Sakura Gellyroll Stardust pens, I LOVE THEM!!! I've been using them since 2001 and they are lovely!! I actually still have my first set I ever bought way back then, 14 years ago, and they are still going. I do have tons of pens, marker, pencils, etc. that's how I still have them, but I have used them so many times through the years and I have bought backups (that are still in the unopened pack) just in case. My point is that they are not expensive, great gel pens s(they glide in the paper/cardstock), they are juicy, super glittery and oh so pretty! Look like a condensed Wink of Stella in a pen! Love, love, love them!
Love this card. I'm a beginner, so this is a perfect simple but very pretty card. Thank you. I also love those gel pens. I tried finding them online, but the cheapest I could find on amazon is $6 for a 2 pack. Oh well, I guess I'll still be getting them anyway because I absolutely HAVE to have some, lol. Thank you again for the tutorial and taking the time to make all of your tutorials for us.
It's almost impossible to pick a Favorite Video of yours Lindsay, but this is truly one of my Favs! and the envelope tip is the Bomb! Mahalo for all you do
Hi Lindsay , great tutorial , never thought to use the gel pens to all glitter and can't wait to try the envelope out ! You make it look so easy! TFS Rosemarie
Hi lyndsay I think your just fabulous!! Dear lord you make me laugh!! Im a new crafter and I would love it if you did a video on your must have supplies. Another thing I would love would be a comparing colored pencils video. I could go on but ill stop. lol Take care xxx
Another great video Lindsay. I love your envelope technique. I have 2 envelope template boards but the sizes are very hit and miss. Your method is so much better. Thank you for sharing.
I've use the jellyroll Stardust pins forever. It takes them forever to run out. I like to use them to do dots on backgrounds. I have been using them for many years and I have only had to replace them once.
Thanks for the video, I always feel inspired and informed after watching your videos. The envelope section is great information. I had an envelope template on my wish list but now I can remove it. I am making my way through your stamp school videos and loving every one.
I think I have seen this video before because I remembered part of the information you gave about making an envelope, but couldn't remember all of it and was trying to find the video that explained it when I stumbled on this one and voila! An interesting coincidence is that I just opened the Sakura glitter pens I had recently bought and used them to sparkle up a Xmas card I had made. Interesting thing about those coincidences! ;-)
I've been stamping for many years and still enjoy these beginner videos. You forgot to "Stamp Out Naked Envelopes." I think I saw that saying on Viva Las Vegas Stamps and try not to send naked envelopes ever since.
In the length of time I've had my 1 gelly roll stardust pen I've gone thru 3 wink of Stella clear pens, even after refilling them with a little glycerine and water when they've ran low. TFS Emma x
Great Video! That envelope thing saved me some cash because i was just looking for one of those envelope plate! I also tried the copic glitter pen i use sometimes with my art and cards and they dry up so fast so not worth $3
Thanks so much, this is the most straightforward and simple video tutorial on making your own Envelopes that I have seen. Do you know 'how' I can make my own selection of: Embossing Powder's, from my Clear (including white & black) please? Thanks Lindsay. x
How cute. I just got some art neko stamps love them! Peacocks and peahens can fly short distances and the peacocks look very pretty when they fly. They can also beat you senseless with their wings don't ask how I know this. Need any peacock feathers? LOL
CraftyLori and when they scream they sound like children being screaming their heads off!! First time I heard that I almost called 911. The things we learn over the years... ha
Sallie Curtis thanks, the think I really appreciate about ArtNeko is that they do not constantly discontinue things, their designs are quality and timeless.
Ayanna Ferguson I hope you try and even if you don't love it the supplies I recommend in the basic video (stamp school #1) can be used for a lot of crafts.
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich thank you for replying! I'm more of a painter too but cards look like a lot of fun. I'll have a look at that video :)
Lindsay, would you tell me the color names of the ink pads you used for this card? I really liked the colors and would like to order the right ones. Thanks!
I am a recent subscriber to your channel You're amazing, you have a whole world to show, thousands of ideas, nice videos and easy to understand . The best for you!♥ Gothica.
Ps I call those pens; my fairy wings in a pen, pen. Have you seen the coloured ones with the same sparkle? Absolutely stunning, that's why I'm now so worried! I'm not a pink type of female but I've 1 and it's to die for.
Dear Lindsay, Could you tell me all the colors of the dewdrop inks you used and tell me where I could get them online? Neither Michaels or Jo Ann's here had anything similar. Thank you so much!
I've been stamping for years too but I enjoy your beginner videos. There's always a tip or hint that is new! I have a template for envelopes but I had a couple people complain that there was no glue to seal the envelopes.....and strange as it sounds, not all people have glue sticks in their house! So, what do you put on the edges for people to seal the envelopes? Is there an envelope glue out there?....or do you have a homemade alternative?
Violet Verhoog I mix elmers glue and vinegar for lick and stick glue, 2 parts glue, 1 part vinegar and mix, paint it on the flap and let dry, then you can lick and stick, or I will use the double stick tape that has a liner and put it on the flap and leave the liner for the recipient to remove when needed. Greensneakers makes a lick and stick glue in a handy applicator bottle too.
Hey Lindsey!! Love u! Hope it’s not too chilly up in ur neck of the woods?! It’s chilly down on the Cape! 😬 love this cards, paintings ect!! QUESTION?? Where did u get those brushes for stamping? They look like old fashioned shaving cream brushes?! Lol🤗

CeCe Clove You can wash them but they need to dry before using again, I would recommend getting one for each color family because they get better as the ink builds up and less ink waste, you can get buy well with 6 brushes but if you don't want to get six I recommend a pack of make-up wedges (big pack at dollar tree) and use them for ink, keep one for each color and reuse them.

Cute easy card. Love the envelope tip. I usually buy mine ready made but getting expensive. Also have a template, but like this idea a lot. Edna
Should I buy the stamps with or without the cling foam? Is it OK to use Aileen's Stick It Over & Over and use them on an acrylic block?
You are so creative and everything you make is so amazing. I want to start making cards now.

Lindsey, not sure if you have covered this in this series but how to score a card, what side you score that kind of thing.
mary s thank you, I have not, great idea, thank you for mentioning it!
Love the beautiful card Lindsay! Tutorial is full of fantastic tips :D How do you clean the color dusters? I was planning on just buying one.
CeCe Clove You can wash them but they need to dry before using again, I would recommend getting one for each color family because they get better as the ink builds up and less ink waste, you can get buy well with 6 brushes but if you don't want to get six I recommend a pack of make-up wedges (big pack at dollar tree) and use them for ink, keep one for each color and reuse them.
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thank you Lindsay for the very helpful answer :)
Could you do a tutorial on mounting stamps from start to finish????
Sarah Longshore I have several videos on this depending on how you want to mount them: th-cam.com/play/PLNxvOHHWCjFge11mdS1pqgWotMKTvoSxJ.html
Another great video Lindsey tfs.
Have many of your videos and am always learning something new, again tfs :-)
Think I have asked somewhere before but not had a reply :-( anyone would think you were busy sometimes :-)
Question: you mention on some of your videos that you store your unmounted stamps in the large binders we often see along your shelves. PLEASE....how do you keep track of them? I see you have them listed on the spines but there are so many and when you are making a card etc, how do you find or cross index them?
Any and all help in indexing stamps would be such a huge help. Thanks
craftyvron madgranny I do not cross reference even though there are some that would fit in different categoties, like kids and birthday or kids and men but it only means I might have to open two binders. I have a video on the way I store them when I undertook the massive regoranization process (I went from storing by manufacturer to by there 3 years ago) th-cam.com/video/5-pLdQ3H_FQ/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful card! What brand is that blending tool you used to color in the peacock. I'd like to try it.
