It’s good to be safe about meds but it’s important to be able to have some during extreme times for the strain on your heart from the pain. It’s important for your heart health to not be squirming in pain. Be safe and focus on things that distract you well until it’s better and absolutely do not push too hard and destroy more like I did exactly. ❤️😏🖖🏼🇺🇸

I live on the Monarch migration route in Ohio. I had a cubic, metric crap-ton of common milkweed. And I used to have massive quantities of butterflies. I used to keep an acre or so fallow just for milkweed for the butterflies. Gave away the seeds for kids to grow their own. I could walk out in the field and several fresh hatchlings would land on me cause the trees were already 3 deep. Or maybe I just look like a tree. Or maybe a 1/2 hour old monarch cant navigate worth a crap. But the last 4 years or so I only see maybe 1 or 2 monarchs all season. Sad.

    Hi Gang!
You have some TOP OF THE LINE haying equipment!!
My first experience with balers was in 1950. Our neighbor bought an International baler that produced 40-60 pound bales tied with string. Prior to that we and he shocked hay, and or bundled it. I didn't enjoy haying one bit!
We had a lot of rattle snakes in our area, and of course they sought the cool shade under the bales!..... Had to be CAREFUL!!!
Ever once in awhile, a snake was run through the baler, and survived, and was sticking out of the bale! BOY,.... THEY were all kinds of PISSED OFF!!! A long handled sharp hoe was part of your haying equipment!, along with leather gloves and hay hooks.
    Love your videos and commentary!
    Best Wishes, and GOD BLESS!

Just got back from the annual trip to the Farmstead in North Dakota. Several old trees down, soil hard/dry. Made digging out the buffalo grass away from the foundation that much harder, & I never made it all the way around the house (left the sticker weeds on the north side!). A neighbor I contacted for mowing came and mowed the exposed grass, then raked and baled most of it. He got 2 bales before quitting (he'll get to use those for his animals later this year) and took loose grass home that he didn't have time to bale before he was needed elsewhere.) He'll cut up the downed trees later this year to make more room for cutting next spring, and when he knows when we'll be returning, he'll mow for 'lawn'...wowie, I almost can hardly wait! We've never seen 'lawn' in decades, because my brother-in-law normally mows the grass with the riding mower (which my Mom gave to the neighbor this trip), resulting in just the brown under layer. It never has time to green-up before we have to leave.---We got one thunder shower, didn't amount to much, but at least I got to see it!---And, d/t the smoky haze from the Canadian wildfires, we always had fire-red sunrises and sunsets, and fire-red moon rises. But, it kept the temps down a bit (humidity was still up tho'). Only 3 mosquitos because of the dryness, but plenty of grasshoppers in all sizes and colors! Lots of biting flies. Only 1 tic.---I loved your drone shots, and knew your rain was coming!

This was a great video for me. I know little about this sort of thing and want to learn. I did appreciate you taking the time to climb down with a sore knee to educate us about the milkweed! I love the multiple camera angles you use! I always worry about the camera falling off when mounted outside. Keep up the great work and thanks for taking the time to share your life, work and love with us!

Hello from Northern Saskatchewan! We managed to get 3/10 of an inch of rain on Saturday evening. First rain since June 10th. Our daily highs have be around 30 C ( 86 F ) but two weeks ago we hit 44 C ( 111 F ) for about 3 days. Our beer is all going to have a toasted aroma from this years crop of Barley.

The appreciation is reciprocal Cole. You appreciate us watchin, and we sure appreciate you sharin brother. You keep doin what your a doin. We sure do appreciate you showing us that tenacity is the way to keep this thing going. I won't even touch the rain situation other than to say there are two extremes to everything, and moderation and uniformity seldom prevail. God Bless you gentlemen. May you get the precipitation you deserve brothers. Cheers.

Sweet machinery. That drone sure adds perspective. The foxtail ... reminds me of life on the farm in Manitoba, that and alkali sloughs. Grinding the foxtail in the feed is a big improvement over bunching it and burning it. Hope you get some rain, guys.

Hey Sonne Farms! Thanks for giving me a healthy dose of "smiler's cramps" through out this video! And to top it all off, Phil. 4:6 covered even/as well the Eternal aspects of this temporal life with its ups and downs. At 74 and a farmer in some way shape or form all my life I can appreciated every aspect of this video. Haying was one thing I prided myself in and the smell of good alfalfa being made is gleefully intoxicating. My sister six years older than me, cut hay with a team of horses at age 9. Nowadays parents would be trifling with jail pulling off that kind of "help desperation!" Mercy. I trust, hope, pray your knee heals up perfectly. In Yahweh's love and my care, see you on the "streets of gold." mg

Killer drone footage! Something relaxing watching the baler and accumulator work. So much easier than stacking small squares on the hay wagon and up in the loft for my Grandfather when I was a teenager in the 80's.

We use to call it farmer tan. My dad's face, neck, hands & arms to where his sleeves started were well tanned. Everywhere else he was glow in the dark pale. He never worked in shorts.
