Black Seed Oil Is The #1 Most Effective Treatment for Hashimoto's

  • Tired of not having good treatment options available for Hashimoto's? If so, I have some good news for you.
    Outside of traditional treatments like thyroid medication, there are some incredibly powerful natural options that have been shown in some research studies to help.
    One of the most potent is known as nigella sativa.
    I'm going to use nigella sativa and black seed oil almost interchangeably in this video but here's the difference:
    Nigella sativa is the plant that produces black seeds and black seeds can be cold pressed to produce black seed oil.
    The active ingredients in nigella sativa can be found in both black seeds and black seed oil so it's very likely that taking any of these 3 may provide benefits.
    One study that looked at nigella sativa found the following:
    1. It had a pro-thyroid benefit and acted to help reduce TSH levels and increase free thyroid hormone levels.
    2. It had a thyroid-antibody-reducing benefit and resulted in a decrease in TPO antibodies by almost 50%.
    3. It may provide an anti-thyroid cancer benefit by reducing VEGF levels.
    These results are incredible and should perk the interest of just about every patient with Hashimoto's.
    The study referenced here used nigella sativa at 2 grams per day but I think black seed oil can provide superior benefits.

    I've been taking it for several months (~ one teaspoon daily), and it truly works. My antibodies went from 1000+ to 150+ rapidly, with TSH also showing some improvement, and though I don't feel any different, I'm quite satisfied with what I've got.

      That's just a local brand of oil, but I had similar reviews from people who'd used other brands, which means there's a variety of them to choose the one you can benefit from. I prefer oil over pills since I'm already taking quite a lot of those.

    After doing some quick research, I didn't see any brands that listed the ingredients you mentioned. I also saw articles about how the percentage of thymoquinone cannot really be trusted and that anything over 2% is suspicious. And of the few brands that list ingredients, like omega-6s, they don't put it in the same percentages as you do, so it is basically impossible to figure out what products are good and which ones to avoid. Do you have any suggestions that are easily available? Thank you.

    I first learned about Black Seed when I was living in Qatar for 9 years. The muslims consider it a gift from God and in the Koran it says that "It cures everything but death". I have used the seed ever since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's while I was still living there. It did bring my antibody numbers down from well over 1300 to 800 over the course of two years. That's still ridiculously high but improvement nonetheless. I still prefer to take the seed as a whole food and not extracted oil.

    • @alainexpat
      @alainexpat 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@babyjeditor You need to request a Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (TPO) test from your endocrinologist. Dr's usually do this test once when they suspect Hypothyroidism. If it shows elevated TPO levels, then it's confirmed autoimmune. They rarely do it again. You may have to insist upon it. Once it's confirmed they only usually concern themselves with TSH, T4, and T3 levels. My Dr. told me it was a waste of time. I do not listen. I want to see my progress and if what I am doing is improving the situation. Dr's don't really care. They just want you to take your Levothyroxine like a good boy or girl and that's it. Take control.

I'm only taking 400mg and I don't have bruises anymore. I don't mind them necessarily, but it seems like it could produce bleeding elsewhere. Should I be worried about the bruises and possible bleeding in the brain? I'm not sure if BSO is the cause.

      My personal view is that you get bruising, then reduce until you no longer get the bruising. We are individual in how much we need to take. The regenerative nutrition website is the only nutritional company I have seen that says, sensitive individuals may need a lower dose. If you take more than your body is able to use, then you are creating unnecessary work for your body. We are not a one size fits all. So go with your gut - and as my Dad used to say - it is the results that count. As I say, a personal view - but I have been reading about nutrition for over 40 years - and interest started as my Dad was a GP and pharmacist. This is a good source of information - but read around and see what seems to make most sense for you. Regen nutrition sell Black seed oil - and they have really good health information. I have been following this site for around 20 years now - and the chap who set it up is really genuine. In the early days, they had a really good guy you could chat to and get really good advice. You can;t phone up and do that anymore - but they are a good starting point and the health library is a good place to go - acutally if you email them, they might give a reply on bruising. Hope this helps. Good luck

      I know you directed this to the doctor, so hope you don’t mind a response from someone else. Please don’t take synthetic thyroid medication! It’s awful! Natural Thyroid hormones entail a full spectrum. Synthetic meds only mimic one specific thyroid hormone. Naturethroid or amour thyroid are both natural - desiccated pig thyroid - so they contain the full spectrum. It’s so much better for you, and for me, it’s made a huge improvement in how I feel.

    • @DeepEmoticPhoria9

      @@living_m2414 hmm strange it went up. I haven't tried AIP because if found it a little too strict, but I did cut out gluten and dairy when I was hyper. Now I only avoid cow dairy (not always), gluten (strictly), no coffee, very little alcohol, and sometimes sweets, although it's better to keep those away. I felt like I'd get too skinny if gong on AIP. I already am thin and small enough :). I alo don't really consume nuts or seeds, well not often.

    • @living_m2414
      @living_m2414 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DeepEmoticPhoria9 yeah I think it was likely where I was living, in a moldy dilapidated old apartment I had lived in after moving states. Another reason I'm eager to retest. I've been learning more about WHY gluten is bad for hashis (gluten sits on thyroid receptors in many cells in body, erroneously telling thyroid not to make more thyroid hormone, AND gluten increases zonulin which causes leaky gut and when gluten breaks into blood, immune system tags it as an intruder. Then when gluten connects to thyroid receptors ON the thyroid, the body mistakenly tags TPO, and it churns our tpo antibody.) I want to learn more whether this is ALWAYS the case or not because I never had stomach pains or anything and I'm starting to really miss gluten foods, and the ides that it's forever is just so depressing. But for now, definitely gluten free.
      Different note; I have gained weight on AIP. If you focus more on what you DO eat (organ meats 1-2x/ week, 9 cups of veggies daily [3 raw Leafy greens, or 6 if cooked, 3 sulpher veggies, 3 colored veggies or fruit), seafood 1-3x week etc) and intentionally get enough carbs from squash, sweet potato, aip flours etc, you definitely don't lose weight. Very nutrient dense
