Valiant LITTLE navy???? W-T-F!!!! Nortranship, the shipping line of the free Norwegian Government ran some 1.000 ships. They transported the aviation spirit that fuelled the Spitfires and the Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain. Almost 4.000 Norwegian seamen lost their lives supplying the Allied war effort. May the memory of their sacrifice live forever.
Its still a Valiant little navy... Dont see how thats a negative? I myself am Norwegian and very proud of Notraship but to call the Norwegian navy during WW2 large is a bit overkill.
@@PokePresto The Norwegian merchant navy's efforts in the first year of the war were worth more than a million soldiers. ", A statement in a British maritime magazine, later repeated by, among others, Sir Philip Noel Baker and the American Admiral Emory Land And it financed the Norwegian exile gouvernment during the WWII
@@PokePresto Actually, British war historians has measured the value of the norwegian merchant fleet to 1 million armed men. I don't now if this is accurate. But never the less, the norwegian merchant fleet WAS important to the war effort.
@@Faico74 Obviusly, and Notraship was a massive contributor to the war effort, but i dont wanna say that Notraship and the Norwegian navy is the same thing
