    My aunt went from a Range Rover to a Genesis and she has no regrets. Although she leased the Range Rover, it was in the shop a lot over the 3 years and left her stranded in winter because of an electrical issue. She has had the Genesis for a year and not one issue as of yet.

      My coworker bought a new 2019 Range Rover Sport brand new, had repairs worth 18k done in the first year. Luckily it was all covered under warranty.
      Soft close door failure, air suspension failure, gearbox oil issue, plenty of one time electrical issues where the dealer says the car is fine...
      Was told the car was a nightmare. He bought a 2024 Range Rover now, only time will tell how it goes.
      It's funny cos he used to turn up to work in his Range Rover on most days, but at least once a month... He rolled up in his wife's Cruze.
      Every time I saw him turn up in the Cruze, I got myself ready to hear a new story 😂. "Yo I got in the car this morning and the door wouldn't latch😂😂"

      why? Range Rover I understand because it will be in the shop mostly. But Genesis is literally one of the more reliable luxury brands. None of Hyundai's poor reliability from the older theta engines or DCTs are present in any Genesis model. The 4.6l v8, 5.0l v8, 3.3TT V6, 3.8l V6, and their 6 and 8 speeds are all quite reliable. These new 3.5TT and 2.5T engines and 8 speeds should easily last 100K+ no issues.

    My wife has a Range Rover sport hse, we owned it for 4 years, 39k miles and only issues are the o2 sensors, other than the o2 sensors it’s been a great vehicle. I drive a 23 defender as a daily driver I have 38k it’s been great. The defender was cheaper than a Toyota Land Cruiser, sequoia and forerunner. I know the age old theory Toyotas are reliable, but there’s the tundra engine issues and various other quirks owners have encountered with gen3, I am one of them, I have a 1794 with 5500 miles and every single issue posted by others I have experienced except for engine recall “yet”.

    It always makes me laugh when I see a Range Rover on the road. Probably the best looking suv but extremely unreliable. Most insurance companies won’t even insure them. Not even RR is willing to insure there vehicle 😅

  • @hugdeath929
    @hugdeath929 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The intro was spot on.
    So far the only thing that I’ve found that I don’t like about HKG is the “black chrome”‘trim and hey insist on using. They have to know that it barely lasts a year before it starts to fade and oxidize. Beyond that I feel like they provide great bang for the buck and that’s my market. I don’t think most people have flushable money and if I did I wouldn’t flush it on a name. Other people don’t matter when it comes to my finances.
    JLR has a reputation supported by lots of customer feedback for being out of service early in the ownership experience and often. I couldn’t be convinced to purchase anything that’s fairly priced but will likely be unavailable when I need to use it so it definitely wouldn’t happen with something overpriced just because it has a tag on it.
    With that being said within this class I’d likely choose the Genesis or the Acura.
    Thanks for the informative review and please keep them coming 🤙

    I’ll keep my dignity and buy the real deal over the cheap, knockoff Walmart version. I don’t care how unreliable it would be. I’d lease it short term rather than having to be seen in such a low-class, copycat brand. Seeing the two being compared in the video highlights the difference between real luxury and fake wannabe luxury. One has heritage and history from Europe, is respectable and credible, and has originality and character. The other isn’t even a decade old, is the luxury “division” of (Hyundai of all brands) from S. Korea, and is known for their horrendous copying and tacky, knockoff designs.. I mean seriously. It’s just blatant copying, the RR steering wheel, the RR rear audio tweeters, the RR audio and climate dials, the dollar store Bentley grille, the INFINITI rear quarter panel, the knockoff Audi rims, the cheapened BMW screen, etc. I can go on and on. There’s not one ounce of originality in this car. Can’t just insert yourself into the luxury category and expect to play with the big dogs and earn respect. You have to work for that kind of title.
