The area is definitely out of the way of the normal tourist, I look at it as a hidden secret to certain extent. Nice, look me up next time your in there.
I used to have the Heidelberg breakfast in my rotation years ago, but I was disappointed when they changed the free refill policy on the coffee. nevertheless, I'll revisit when I'm back in town later this year.
I'll tell you I have a friend of mine that has the same complaint about Heidelberg. They used to give free refills but for some reason change that policy.
Careful on how much detail that you go into if you were wronged by a bar…simply best to say “bad experience will never go back…”

I thought you were starting a bit early since it was still daylight but I could tell you spent a good amount of time at the Up To You bar since it was dark when you left it. I noticed the baht bus running down the Soi. Can you take a baht bus from central Pattaya to this Soi?
If you could talk to the driver and find out which direction they're heading then technically you could go from Central Plaza up Naklua Road. Normally when you get on a baht bus on 2nd Road, there's about a 80% chance the bus will turn towards Beach Road at dolphin circle.

How retires mitigate that risk?😅
That's a real risk here. The currency exchange rates change constantly. I think living on a budget say 10-20% below your monthly income would help mitigate the risk. This is something I hear about many times though.
