2 years ago I was watching Jim save plenty of people and was hoping to see more of a change, and it's awesome, it warms my heart to see these people selflessly saving people from these scams.
The final answer is US government sanctions on city officials and police chiefs. Tell the Modi government that extracting billions from elderly US victims is not a legitimate enhancement of the Indian economy. Once Modi gets the memo, those centers' crime _bosses_ will be lucky if they don't wind up in the Ganges with cement overshoes.
When you start seeing the threats against their lives, you realise that they're not just "playing a prank on bad people", they're messing with an organized crime ring that has significant influence over the local police. Hopefully all of the Indian contacts are safe.

Seeing anti scammers working together with reformed scammers to fuck with scammers is just beautiful.
They're really not fixing the underlying issue at all though, there's a reason why people in India scam so often, and I think if they try to fix the poverty issue by using their skills and resources to create new jobs in India, they might have a better shot at stopping these guys. The last video message just rings so tone-deaf to me, they fail to realize why these people do these horrid things.
It's like how people try to get rid of homeless people rather than try to fix any actual issues at all.

@@internetphia I totally get where you're coming from, but even with youtubers as big as these they can only create so many jobs and even then it's not that simple. That level of change requires change to the Indian government. Unless you've got Bill Gates level of money and the knowledge to create and grow a business to create jobs, it's just not feasible to tackle the core poverty issue. The only thing we can do is try and get the government to change which starts with the people. The more people are aware the higher the chance something may be done to mitigate the issue of scam callers, and the higher chance people won't fall for scams in the first place.

The guy codenamed 'Messi' is an exceptional person.
He dared to take revenge on these guys, kept his emotions in control, cracked the interview, placed the packages, retrieved the last package back from the delivery agency, delivered it again, spooked them and got his revenge.
Also credit is due to Jonny (Jaani) for being the perfect manager for this operation.
i really hope they're safe! i can't help but think that after they went to his house that maybe one of them might report him to another group. i'm sure they take extra precautions, im just worried lmao.

@@tgleeson6294 I can guarantee you that was real. These scam centers are extremely paranoid about what information leaks out about their shady "business" dealings. One of Trilogy's members, Jaani, was beaten half-to-death and nearly killed by the scam center he used to work for before joining Trilogy.
The sad truth is, scammers will gladly kill traitors among their ranks. Indian police departments are so out-and-out corrupt at the roots, it's just as likely that officers will commit these murders on behalf of the scam centers as it is likely that they'll simply ignore/refuse to investigate these incidents.

Glad you highlighted the owners and the ones in charge of the companies, these are the ones who need to be stopped! Not all the scammers are evil, i'm sure there's a few, a bit like Messi who just saw it as a job and don't agree with it but needed a job! It's the higher ups and the managers that need to be brought down otherwise they'll just start other companies, find other scams and find other desperate people to work for them! It’s because the officials and police are getting kickbacks from the scammers. Scammers run the country. We started it by relocating legit call centers to India because they are cheap labor.

FYI - the mice were not harmed. They were fed, bathed and sung to (literally) by Art each night (since they stayed in his bathroom) - they were in that ventilated box for a very short time, and left to live in an air conditioned building (from being purchased at that market in 100+ degree heat).
Thankfully these mice don't try to steal money from people like the rats in the call center. 😀

The most dangerous part is how complicit are the law enforcement agencies in these cities. Can't believe that thousands of conmen are operating out of the heart of the cities and the police are oblivious to it.

I've been to India. I was pulled over and offered a bribe to be sent on my way.. That's not uncommon at all.
When you are living in literal absolute poverty, you might take a bribe or two my guy. Not saying they are right for doing so, but that's life I guess.

@@danielmoats7606 I've watched many videos of people exposing cops- and in some areas of the U.S. that are near Mexico, most of the cops just expect a bribe to send the person on their merry way (why they don't want bodycams).
I've never heard of any cops in my county doing that type of thing. Here, they're more likely to send you off with just a warning, than to take a bribe. Crazy how it's "the norm" in some places

I think it's cause Mark's channel, overall, is more geared towards a younger audience so it makes sense why his video is more joyfully designed to make it easier to swallow and understand

I’ve known someone who worked for a scam call center in this area. He said he didn’t realize it was a scam at first but when he realized, he quit. But it’s interesting that some don’t even know they’re scamming people.
Trilogy Media must be really well known to those scammers if their mere presence in the same country prompted those scammers to urgently tell other scam call centers to temporarily close. That's good - it means the efforts of Trilogy and other scam busters are at least making a dent.

G It was a minor inconvenience at best. Getting them good would be ruining their operation for longer with real pranks like call flooding, exposing, reverse teamview or getting swat called on them like others have. This was lazy and definitely didn't take a year.
We are sick of these scammers too. They are scamming internally and out of India, spoiling India's image. Actual number of this racket is way high than what you can think. It was too risky work which you did. We appreciate your work. Your videos and information are being shared across India.

If I were the scammers, I would simply rewind my own tapes and look for the person wearing the clothing you do not have blurred out. I noticed on Mark's video, he only blurred out that man's face, leaving his clothing identifiable for if they want to run back the tapes to see his face. That's just scary. And he lives there? Prayers for safety, for you all.

I figured the scammers immediately knew who it was anyway. They definitely knew it was his water bottle later found full of stank, he suspiciously brought a backpack in and they found some bulky prank paraphernalia, and he was probably the only person hired that day that quit without notice to go on a mile-long run. Not saying any of that was bad, it was danged perfect, just that hiding the hero's appearance from the scammers was never part of their plan.
2 possibilities…
1. Jim deleted the footage, or
2. Messi started work with fake details, and changed his appearance. While the people there know him as the name he used and what he looked like with an altered appearance, they won’t truely be able to identify him, whereas someone in the world of TH-cam might.
Not only that but every other clue in the vids are many and all of the peolpe in this vid are in risk

As an actual Technician in technical support, in the USA, I cannot thank you enough for your efforts to end the bad rep on Tech Support and end scam calls once and for all. On the job, even when customers call my company and as I help fix their product, they still suspect that I myself am a scammer since it does take time to find and resolve issues. I can not speak the amount of respect and thankfulness of your life threatening efforts to end this.

I work in a national call center, and every day I speak with victims of these scamers, I just want to say thank you for what you are doing, from all of us. Go get 'em boys!
It must be so hard to trust a call centre again. Even watching videos like these make me struggling trusting my own servers and suppliers customer service teams esp if English isn't their first language too n esp if its indian n they sound unsure about thirr own company or how to help customers professionally.
I'm an Indian and my own Grandma was robbed by these scam centre people in the name of Credit Card expiry. Kudos to Mark Rober, Jim Browning, Trilogy Media, and all of my Indian brothers who took part in this mission to teach these bastards a lesson. Thank you, Trilogy Media. We want more.
