This was so helpful thank you! I've been wanting to get into Middle Eastern fragrances lately and it's so overwhelming it's hard to know where to start! 😅🙏🏼
It is really is daunting not being able to test before buying in most cases. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I’m a big fan of your channel 🥰
@@melraefinds9748 Oh thank you!! 🙏😃 That’s nice to hear! 💗 I just found a website today, that offer samples of a lot of Middle Eastern perfumes, (I just hope I don’t get to the checkout and find out that they don’t ship to Canada!) Lol But I’m coming back to remind myself which ones I was interested in, it’s really hard to remember all of the names!
French Coffee by Al Rehab is much better than Eternal Coffee, although you do get a strong alcohol blast at the start and needs respraying often. Ana Abiyedh Rouge is a good layering fragrance or room spray. It's a bit sickly and basic on it's own but that's due to an over saturation of BR540 dupes which I smell everywhere.
Thank you for sharing your opinion of Baroque Satin Oud. I agree! I bought the fragrance after hearing another reviewer rave about how wonderful it was, and when it arrived I was horrified by what a chemical mess it is. (No amount of macerating will make it anything else.) On the other hand, I'm one who enjoys Opulent Musk (White). I actually prefer that it's not sweet, but I only wear it for my own enjoyment as it's a beast of a fragrance.
Thank you so much for sharing these views 🥰 And I truly can appreciate how Opulent Musk could be well liked. And thank you so much for confirming the Baroque Satin Oud mystery … it’s a mystery to me Best wishes 🌸
Great reviews! I have Ana Abiyedh Rouge and love it. It reminds me a lot of Orientica Amber Rouge. That one is also amazing. ❤ I have several BR540 dupes and those 2 are my favorites.
Heya nice to meet you and loved this vid.. ❤I will need to try the opulent red, but the oudnmood is repulsive, something is musty in the worst way, and I find that same smell in a few other Arab scents. I wonder what it is that makes some people enjoy this smell and others don't, but I've heard both perspectives and it made me realize I can't go by what others say. Some ouds I can't smell at all. Aaron Terrence Hughes was explaining that it is all about how the oud is processed which determines what type of smell will come out. I cannot recall more details but he said oud can have various smells, from different amounts of time in the extraction process. He is a British cosmetic chemist, and makes videos and his manner of explanation is lovely. Educational due to his knowledge of the production process and ingredients,he really explains it wonderfully. He also makes perfume, ❤❤
Hi! Oud sure does seem to have various smells! It’s an olfactory adventure trying different ones. Thanks so much for watching and sharing the information 🥰
Hi Sunny! It’s delicious but with some character 😊 And I think you have more cold weather (overall) than I do. It’s perfect for that. Thanks so much for stopping by 🥰
woah great video!!! im literally watching this video while scrolling thru an online store for all the perfumes u mentioned!! ur descriptions are amazing and so vivid!
Hi! New subscriber to your channel! 🙂 Royal Musk is one of the few Middle Easten that have survived a declutter in my collection as is Badee al Oud Sublime and Amber Oud Rouge. Ajayed and Honor and Glory are two favorites here that I couldn’t stand. Too spicy.
I’ve been curious about Amber Oud Rouge! The Gold was unwearable for me. It’s all so subjective isn’t it? Fun to discuss. Thanks so much for participating 🥰
Absolutely, I am interested in trying this one 😊. The By The Fireplace comparisons did put me off a little … but you are right, if it’s heavy and sweet and Lattafa, I seem to enjoy it. I will have to try it. Thanks for the suggestion 🌸
It’s pretty much a clean musk smell. Musk on its own is hard to describe. It’s synthetic but made to smell like clean skin. What stands out with this one is that it is definitely unisex. A lot of the musks marketed to women have more noticeable florals. The florals in Royal Musk are very low key. It’s not “pretty” just very clean, with a touch of the clean linen about it.
Hi None of these are distinctly soapy. Royal Musk by Al Haramain is the one that’s fits a “clean girl” aesthetic. But more in a white musk, freshly dried laundry direction.
Honor and glory is such a disappointment to me (have had for about 5 months). However, not too many of the other ME perfumes I’ve bought have been such misses.
❤ Hi Mel, Amethyst and Opulent-Red are my 2 signature scents, I adore these. Warmest regards from Tasmania, Tia 😊
Ha!
We are most definitely kindred (fragrance) spirits 🥰
You need to try SHAGHAF oud tonka blue bottle omg ! Amazing
I have heard such good things about that one!

Mocha Woods is more like Intense Cafe imo, I do get the chocolate note
Morah is absolutely 💯 love at first sniff! ❤️ Penhaligon's Halfeti vibes for sure.

I have been so curious about the Orientica ones! Thanks for me mentioning this 😊
Thank you for the video! I got a couple of these already. Picking up a few more now 😊
Thanks so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊

I just got honor and glory and it’s so sharp, it’s so nice that it macerates nicely. Thanks for sharing ☺️☺️
It definitely does improve.
Thanks so much for watching 😊
Hey Mel oh boy now I’m going to add some more! Morah sounds so interesting and complex! My cup of tea 😉

Hello there
Thanks for a great video
Is opulent red long lasting ? Love Turberose
It lasts on me a good 6 to 8 hours and I can smell it strongly that whole time.
Thank you so much for watching 🥰

@@melraefinds9748 amber oud rouge is BR540 at 99%. You have to love this profile.
No Lataffa Ameer Al Oudh? Would love to hear you thoughts on it!

Subscriber number 307 here! I really enjoyed this video and I'm definitely adding a number of the perfumes you suggested to my wishlist.
Hello!
Thanks very much for watching, subscribing and interacting 😊
What does royal musk smell like tho?
It was on my radar awhile back
It’s pretty much a clean musk smell. Musk on its own is hard to describe. It’s synthetic but made to smell like clean skin.

❤❤❤
Haha i totally disagree with you about the baroque satin oud, after macerating it smells much softer and nice, but to each his/her own❤
Oh mine has well and truly macerated. Not the issue in this case. If anything it is worse the longer I have it 😊
Thanks for watching 🌸❤️
@@melraefinds9748 😂 its a good thing that not everyone loves the same perfumes, what a boring world it would be
Which are soapyest???
Hi
None of these are distinctly soapy.

Baroque Satin Oud smells HORRIBLE
