I’ve took a lot of the tips from the last episode on this and has improved my shots, score not coming down yet as the bowlers are right howlers but the good stuff is getting much better, keep it up this is a good series
What this video shows me is, you can save so many shots by good game management, all the advice by the coach was about how to approach the game not ball strike or club selection, it’s about how you as an individual manages the game they play.. well in Foxy, strain in the Oil… 🙏🏻👍
Absolutely. Lots of good ball strikers score badly because they choose the wrong shots. Chipping when they should lob and lobbing when they should chip. Taking on pins when middle of green is safer. Hitting it high in wind. Driver on every par 4 and 5. A few seconds analysis when your approaching your ball can knock half a dozen shots off your round.
Great improvement Fox!! Commit to those short game shots though good sir! Never up never in. Utilize the green to work with before the hole and make sure your putts get there. The biggest killer in my short game has been "giving up" on it at the last moment and not fully getting through the shots which causes a lot of flubs and subsequently leaves shots well short of the target. I feel that commitment will help you face and conquer the FOGL(fear of going long).
So true, more hazards or ground to trip you up short of the pin. With higher loft clubs even more important to keep swing committed, also helps get the controlling spin on the ball.
I used to play Sunday morning Fourball at Worthing and we would discuss bacon sarne and that would take our mind of golf so much we would all play rubbish, but with a smile
Foxy, I am going to stir up a hornet's nest of controversy by suggesting that you might want to explore a swing method called Stack and Tilt. You have a good shoulder turn and a low take away. I think your swing issues stem from inconsistent weight shifts in your down swing. (God knows, for decades, it's been the scourge of my golf swing). Practicing and developing a swing method that keeps your weight on your left side just might be the ticket to improved ball striking. I know this flies in the face of traditional golf instruction but it has made a world of difference in my game.
loved the content, and I took what I learned to the range today. I couldn't be happier with the ideas presented awesome stuff. How do the new cobra Irons feel at impact?
It's all in your head. This game would be a lot easier if we could declutter our thought process. Brilliant, Foxy, thank you for sharing. Never known you be so quiet, James 🤫
Agreed, sadly some of my best rounds have been following a night of heavy drinking, little to no sleep and an early tee time. I just go out there and swing with no thoughts in my head because it’s too hard to focus or care lol and I play great. It’s pretty maddening 😠
Because foxy is only human like most of us, we can be coached, practice, think dream about it, stand on the tee and natural body action takes over unless we can consciously keep applying the message of lessons, until that then becomes the unthinking way of hitting the ball
@@guyr7351 Most people get better over time, but that doesn’t seem that way when I watch. I can understand if he was struggling with his drives or maybe his iron game but it still looks like it’s all of his game. I just thought it was a honest good question.
@@DavidBrown-jt7yi well as someone who takes lessons, first few lessons it would take me ten shots before I could hit the ball well with the tension of a lesson eg wanting to show I have some skill level. I had a driver lesson and with the pro at the end of 40 mins hitting it sweetly 60% plus of the time. Going away and practicing it’s not bad, in the course you get one go and mine typically are rubbish so I hit 3W most of time much more consistent strike. It becomes chicken and egg, try the driver when playing and mess up even more tension next time I try. I do agree though Foxy has shown on several training videos much better swing and strike yet scores don’t seem to be improving. I can do relate to that, not long playing in comps, played in. Stapleford scored 40 points to win, have not broken 30 points since. 😂 first medal round net score of 89 to come last and that’s with 27 shots taken off. one of those days when tee shots, fairway irons, putting were all off only semi decent part of the game was 8-wedges approach play. Talk about frustrating but played bogey golf for last 5 holes to show a degree of performance and maybe a reward for sticking at it. I admire Foxy for allowing himself to be filmed for the channel

Cameraman wearing a Rolex - Batman. Nice!
Awesome part two and it is certainly helping foxy with his game
Best coaching videos I've seen in a long time keep them coming

Foxy's Yoda
Foxy is a long-term challenge. 😁
Fantastic Mr. Fox 🦊
Best video ever!!!!!

I use the Tiger Woods PGA video game method. That game taught me how to read putts.
How come we always see that James fix Foxy in 10 mins but when he plays a month later, he’s not fixed anymore. Come on James, make it permanent.
Good question. Foxy should be able to half his handicap

Lol it’s called golf
Would be great to compare score cards; prior to coach and with the coach to see the difference a better mental approach makes.
I'm going with a driver over the trees with a fade back to the right and yes that's my natural swing
Lets see another Rob v. Robo match
Stupid having him play off the white tees. Move him up to the yellows all day!!
What happens when he plays a comp and they are then back tees? No harm occasionally going of longer tees to get a different feel on the course
2 holes in and I think Foxy is now a mid handicapper.
I honestly think Foxy has an 18 handicap swing…?! You’re either not practicing pal, or you’re always gonna be a 25…?! 🤷♂️
Golf is a lot more then a swing. Short game, game plan and mentality is a big part of golf.
@@inkazar agree totally mate… which makes me think he’s not practicing
He has admitted on other videos he has been very busy with work, like many he has other things to do other than play and work on his golf
@@guyr7351 I was actually paying Foxy a compliment, as I like the lad and he’s got a decent swing… better than a 25 was my point
@@willyon2be I think he is capable of much better as well, although having just had a nightmare round in a comp I do feel for him
