      Looking at the '21 CB's now - 10 hdcp.......occasional toey mis-hits. Get them? I can shoot 70's but have my upper 80's days, also. Concerned about forgiveness on days when I need the extra help. What say you?

      @@miken2686get them. I play off 11. I’ve tried so hard to replace mine just because I want new clubs. But I can’t. There’s no iron on earth that can sway me to change despite my desire for new clubs. You’ll be very surprised how forgiving they are in toe misses.

    • @dbo4506
      @dbo4506 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@miken2686 I still can’t explain this but I hit a VERY thin 8 iron yesterday and it still carried the front bunker and had enough spin to pull up and ended up with 8ft for bird. And when you pure them 🤤 nothing better. The 4i is gold

      @@miken2686I’m a 16 handicap and play the 2021 CBs and I’ll not swap them for anything. The feel off them is incredible. Yes they maybe not as forgiving as other irons but to me they make focus more on the shot which in turn makes me play better. My handicap has come down from 22 in a season to less than 16 using these and it’s heading in the right direction each time. For me being rewarded for a miss strike isn’t going to me better so that is why I like knowing when I’ve not hit it correctly. Try them if you can but if not I still think you would not regret them if you bought them.

      @@miken2686 They are one of the most solid feeling irons I’ve ever hit while still offering forgiveness like the others mentioned. Anyone that plays them absolutely loves them. When I bought my second set it was 4/5 months ago on eBay from Maple Hill a golf for $500 ish USD, because the new models were coming out. In my opinion, that is a shocking deal on the 2021 Wilson CB’s because they are that good.

    Before my lower back injury, 4 years ago, I used to play with my Wilson Staff Fluid Feel irons from 1966! I had them extended 3" to fit my height ( I am 6'6" ) and had them bent 3° upright and 3° stronger. Now this was a biweekly game for those of us 60 years and older. We also had. to use real wood Drivers and fairway woods. Being a golf "hoarder" ( what my wife calls me ) I have 4 drivers and fairway persimmon woods that look brand new!
    You really should get a set of 1950's to 1960's clubs and play 9 holes with them to compare distances on the course!

      Absolutely buy the PW. The gap wedge can easier replaced by practicing flighting you PW lower. What’s your short game like? If you are an above average short game player get two decent wedges same grips and shaft something like a 52 degree and 56… or 54 and 60. If you’re beginner look at something like the smart sole Cleveland wedge….

      I believe the regular Dynapower irons are pretty strong lofted. Not sure what your old lofts are, but that could certainly be at least part of the reason for the distance change. Whatever the reason, as long as you can still stop the ball when you need to, extra distance is a good thing.
