I own the 1980 Fisher 8500 system with the conservatively rated 100 watt per channel BA 6000 amp and the awesome CC 3000 pre amp. Beautiful rack system with the anodized aluminum black face.
The CA-276 was a beast. It's just with the internal heat sinks even with the fan it had a tendency to over-heat. It came in a stacked system and a lot of them failed because of this. If they were out in the open, they would run warm but with no issues. I never even heard the fan come on.
