    I want to thank you for this great work you have done. I have a question for you. If you shoot 6.5 CM only PRS loading the gun. What would be your choice?

    So someone doesn't like independent testing.... Wish I remembered who!

    Check out the Australian made Gen 2 Chad muzzle break on without warning ch, it certainly tames recoil as good as if not better than many muzzle brakes on the market.

      They are now. I am working on a new bench to add them to the actual table too, As soon as the competition season end Ill finish the videos

    I watched all your videos, love how in depth they are....
    Question....I built an 18" SPR AR 15 mostly for 300-600 yard shoots (quick follow up shots) - I am not concerned with felt recoil, mostly muzzle flip, but Id also like to keep the weight down if possible.
    Which brake would you put on this build?

      hypertap by precision armament, super small, super efficient, drill the top port until you get the muzzle movement as flat as you like it. I've put one on my X95 for 100-300 shoots and I can empty my mag on target as fast as I can slap the trigger.

    I would love to see a test on the Ultradyne Apollo Max. I'm personally on the fence between that and the Hypertap closed.

      They both have drillable top ports as well, so a head to head would be cool with both open and closed top ports on all 3 test areas.

    Update
    Thank you again for all the great R&D.
    I bought the MPA DN5 after your watching your video it is nice kit but I will say my
    Area 419 Hellfire match brake was much much easier to install and set.
    I also bought an EVA vision brake from Norway, very nice kit too and also much easier to install than the MPA DN5 brake and it has a repeatable set up using set screws.
    Maybe if you talk to your friends at MPA you could suggest a better set up than dual wrenches for setting up as you have to tape up the brake to keep it from being scratched and gouged by the wrenches and it is very difficult setting it level. JMHO

    • @canadianprecisionshooting9597
      @canadianprecisionshooting9597  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a good idea, I'll pass the info along. Also, I personally just use 1 wrench, lock the nut with the brake at about 15deg angle and just torque it until it's flat. Work pretty easily for me

    Thank you very much for this good sir!
    I am a relatively new shooter and just about to build my PRS/field rifle. I am not a fan of getting blasted in the face from a break and I think the PVA Jet Blast and ATS-H2 look like solid options for the 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 Swedemoore build I have in mind, balancing felt blast while maintaining good reduction.
    Hopefully, I can find someone here in Sweden to actually buy these models from. Availability on these more niche parts tends to be a tad spotty over here.

    Did you do a P value test to see if the data was statistically significant?

    • @canadianprecisionshooting9597
      @canadianprecisionshooting9597  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You bring me back to my university math class, I love it. No I did not conduct a P value test, but with the repeatability being always lower then 5% from different days, with data all across a bell curve, I am fairly confident to be statistically significative on the P value. But to get the total answer, Ill do the math when I get the time. Pretty nerdy :P

      It should work, make sure the threads are the same from the brake to the barrel.

      Hi Janik;
      I wanted a Botnia midi but they are very hard to find and very very expensive.
      So I have decided on the next best thing which according to your research is the
      MPA DN5 which I can source here in Canada.
      I almost bought a Vision PRC Vulcan brake
      but decided to wait until I saw your tests, if you can get one I would like to see it reviewed.
