I just dealt with this code. It was just a disconnected vacuum line directly under the imrc solenoid, it's very short and easy to miss. Plugged it in and cleared the code and it's all good now
What is the function of that check valve in the vacuum line? I don't think it is originally put in and to be honest, installing it later does not make sense. The IMRC valve is supposed to move back and forth based on engine RPM and this check valve seems to keep the valve activated while preventing it to ever deactivate. Is it maybe a mechanic's dirty workaround to hide a membrane that starts to fail?
I remove the intake today just to replace the starter k. This 05 and it’s a nightmare but I’m ending up getting the code i noise one of those little house that was loose and and put it back but
Can I remove that small sensor by removing the power steering pump instead of removing the intake manifold? Looks like you can get to the two small screws to remove the sensor that way 🤞🏼
So What are the symptoms? My 02 crv after warm up going on the road when accelerating at 2800 RPM light comes on and hesitates while accelerating or Intermittent but if I reset it drives well until I press the gas all the way down What is it?
@@alltsab Sadly yes I ordered from Amazon but today I finally fixed I cleaned the old one with laundry detergent and soaked with rubbing alcohol then I installed and I added some clean oil/new filter My CRV has 278Kmiles and now runs perfect.

You didn’t have to remove the coolant hoses at all… the top of the rad support comes off
Nice thank you... I have the problem now .. time to get to work ...thank you again

I know it's been a long time. Do we need to take the whole thing out to change just that sensor? Thanks in advance.
The whole thing
Yes
Thanks for your help..... however the "snickers chomping" sound towards the end was abit disgusting

I hope so! Were you able to remove this sensor in place, or did you have to remove the intake?
There is no room
Where did you find that part at advance auto and AutoZone didn't have it in there system also what's the exact name or part number
Is the real reason for the code is that the solenoid failed? which doesnt appear to be attached to a new IMRC-- ( I'm having the same issue)
i have this code and my solenoid's good
Generic code for Imrc not working
Yes you can test it with the ohms meter
Did he say when you apply voltage to the upper two prong sensor, and it clicks, it's then considered to be bad?
He gives no details just replace sensor lol
No, applying voltage activates the solenoid. If you hear it click when applying voltage it’s working as it should.
I have p1078 code, I replaced the sensor then the code went back p1077. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Clean it and Check for wire connection
Good vod
is there gasket to intake manifold?
theres two figure 8 gaskets pressed into a recess in the plastic manifold
