Thanks for the how to video, very helpful for a newbie diesel truck guy like myself. I got that I/C coolant low light this morning when I started the truck to go to work. It went away after I pulled out of the driveway. It had me concerned so I checked it and it is a little low. My truck is a 2022 3500 also with 35,000 miles. I ordered some Mopar 50/50 coolant from Amazon too. This is my first diesel and I wasn't sure if it needed "Diesel coolant" or if it's all the same. The I/C was confusing to me, I've never heard of that before. I looked it up and it stands for Ispezionare Coolant. I also wasn't positive which reservoir to pour the coolant into. I thought it was the one that it is. Your video confirmed that. So thank you, I appreciate it. See ya down the road...
Awesome! I’m so excited that I can help someone!! I’ve been helped so much via TH-cam videos and believe that I should be giving back. Also, like you, I wasn’t sure which reservoir was the correct one 😂. Thank you very much for stopping by and I definitely appreciate you subscribing.

Thank you sir - appreciate the video! I bought a used 2020 RAM 2500 w/Cummins Diesel about six months ago and don't use it much, but I've been getting that same low engine coolant warning light since I bought this truck. It goes off after driving a few minutes, once it warms up, so I figured it isn't THAT low. However, better to replenish now. Just wanted to add that the Owner's Manual calls for use of an "Organic Additive Technology (OAT) engine coolant conforming to FCA Material Standard MS.90032." Not sure whether the Mopar recommended brand is more expensive, but whatever is used should meet that standard. Use of anything else, including a hybrid coolant (e.g., in an emergency), could clog the radiator. Anyway, thanks again - much appreciated!
Thanks for stopping by John, and thanks for the information and insight. I'll have to remember the "Organic Additive Technology" (OAT) the next time. I typically ask the guys at Advance Auto Parts and they look through their computer and tell me what I should be using. I guess it doesn't hurt to check the Owner's Manual too.....:) Again, thanks for stopping by, much appreciated.
I have a 2022 Ram 2500 HD. Started saying low coolant the first time I parked on a sloped driveway. Shows back up occasionally. Today I finally topped it off. Not sure why the dealers under-fill a new truck, but it’s really annoying. Same thing has happened to a couple friends of mine.
I live in Southeast Texas it does get somewhat cold here in the winter but it's relatively hot right now and my IC coolant level light comes on occasionally and they're really isn't a rhyme or reason to it that I can figure out anyway. My coolant level looks fine every time I look at it I've never had to put fluid in it, but I have noticed on colder days or when it's raining the light seems to go off more. I have no idea. Oh yeah I have a 2020 2500 Cummins with 58,000 mi on it and it has been doing it since about 30,000 mi
Got that dreaded light this morning just a day after getting it back from dealer.. does the truck need to be running? Also on my 3rd store looking for mopar 😂
- Howzit going @sirmaster8972, your truck doesn’t need to be running. I purchased mine via Amazon. Hope everything works out for you and thanks for stopping in 👍🏿

Chevron ELC coolant is the best coolant out there used in my 40 truck fleet for 28 years with no issues
Thanks for sharing! Very helpful. Simple thing to do, but wasn’t quite sure that it was going to be that simple. Good video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Sir! My 2500 was low at the MIN when I checked. Found your video. Wanted to make sure I was doing it right. You made it easy. Thanks!

This could have been the case with me as well. I sorta figured it was too early to be low. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by.👍🏿
