but thanks for the video! i'm going in a month but haven't made up my mind yet where to - either Tulum or Holbox. Leaning towards Holbox because of the sargassum situation in Tulum. Also was inspired by your video about Holbox. On the other hand, Tulum and surroundings seem like much more interesting place, much more to see and explore. Difficult choices.
It’s a tough life! But both are amazing destinations. Holbox is great, but once you’re there, you’re there. From Tulum, you can explore Cancun, Playa, Cozumel, Valladolid and Chichén Itzá for example with just an hour or two drive or even on the ADO bus! I would say both if time permits as both are stunning in their own ways! Safe travels!
We were there on the 7th of this month. Wish we saw your video before going there. The most confusing part for us was the "official Tulum ruins" tickets being sold for 80 USD outside the 1km trail. Thankfully, we didn't fall for it, but it was pretty vexing as first-time visitors. Thanks for your video!! 😄 P.S. we went to cinco purely by accident. Our airbnb experience snorkel tour was nearby. But after seeing your video, I feel so thankful that we chose it over other spots!🙏
Yes, thank you for sharing your experience! Definitely bypass all of the vendors in Tulum until you arrive at the actual/main/only entrance! You’ll know you’re there when you see the free bathrooms to the left of the ticket line! Also, if someone has a flag waving you somewhere in Tulum, it might as well be a red flag!!
You’ll definitely be able to find a spot to do that! Sargasso or not! Also, don’t forget about the many amazing cenotes on the Yucatán peninsula to explore. Sargasso free and epic photos!
