We had a partial eclipse last year that I didn't know was going to happen, and I looked out my window and was like... Omg everything's weird, what's happening!? 😂
That's actually how historians date ancient civilizations. Sometimes there's an ancient manuscript or tablet that describes the sun going black and since solar eclipses are so rare we can actually know the date it was recorded.
@@williamg8269There’s an important piece you left out. Those civilizations where infact smart enough to draw an exact formation of the stars in the sky. And archeologists can use these tablets etc to get an exact period where the stars have only ever been in that configuration ONCE! Like a fingerprint. We don’t give them enough credit.
@johnnylego807 That's another way. Doesn't that have more to.do with where they recorded the planets since the position of the stars have barely changed?
@@stevenswapp4768 but I mean like, why are they doing something that partially covers the full view of the eclipse? There's already a big event happening in the sky 😂
Regarding the sun, try to find a working demonstration of a heat and light source heating and lighting a surface while the distance between that heat and light source and surface is left cold and dark. Try to find some evidence that light, and heat, can travel as far as they say they can (millions and millions and millions and millions of miles) and then, again, while leaving its path both cold and dark.
Yes I'm not in the path of totality and probably won't be watching or interested in watching the event. Ironically whether we want to experience the solar eclipse or not...everyone will experience it to some degree just by being outside.
sometimes i wish i didn’t know what a solar eclipse was so i would be so excited not knowing what’s happening. I mean imagine you didn’t know what was happening. I would probably think the world is ending 🤣 or the earth got thrown out of orbit
That's what going to happen if sun explode and after 8 minutes, darkness finally reaches the earth. Kinda cool and scary to imagine where the brightness turned from 100 to 0 real quick
Here's my 2024 eclipse drone coverage from the path of totality where I live. I hope you enjoy it! :) th-cam.com/video/iMOfR-KSkWk/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
It's hilarious to me that people took off of work, traveled, stayed somewhere else, etc just to see this for like 5 minutes. I still don't understand what's so great about this it looks pretty meh, people will do anything to make a big deal out of anything it's so corny
That's a stretch. Yes humans in general don't matter on the scale of the universe but the moon going in front of the sun for a few seconds isn't some sort of humanic prophecy. xD
I can't be the only one here because of tomorrow.
Today
Only 5 hours ‘til for me

I can’t believe the people in those moving cars didn’t bother stopping for even a couple seconds in advance to see this.

i just did.
Yep from New Zealand can't seem to find any one filming astrophotographer s etc... 😮
amazing how much light the sun gives us
Fireworks during the eclipse! And cars driving down the streets.... why?!?
It will be dark much longer in Texas in 2024. Can't wait.
It’s next month! And I’m in Waco where it will be 100% total coverage and Baylor is having a viewing party

We got lucky and it wasn't cloudy here in Akron
Hope the weather was clear for you guys.
We were fortunate to have a beautiful weather! It was a moment to remember every bit of it.
Would have been cool if you were able to have the camera pan towards the sun for a moment during totality.

Dark but for a very short time. lmage 4 min in darkness today ifs it not completely cloudy today like it is now
What is going on in the bottom right when the light starts coming back? Did someone catch in fire and start running away?
It’s a paper lantern. Like a small hot air balloon
