The legends air ride is more comfortable than the J&R air ride because of the adjustable rebound factor but both J&R air ride and legends air ride are drastically better than the stock you’re not gonna go wrong with either one.
Thanks for making the video. I'm looking at air shocks now for my 2020 Triglice.. I like the idea of on the fly adjustment. I am a very mild mannered riders and seldem do I hot rod and now mostly ride 85% single. That being said, I am a thinking that the rear shock replacement would be great for me. What's your thoughts? I appreciated your evaluation of the quality of the Legend equiptment over the competitors. Thanks again!
I think you'll drastically improve the ride quality if you add rear suspension. air, or otherwise. Now having said that, make sure you budget for the front suspension upgrade as well. I have ridden motorcycles that have both the front and the rear air ride suspension and non-air ride front and rear suspension. having both the front and the rear suspensions upgraded makes the entire bike feel more stable and comfortable if you do only the rear it will improve the ride quality but it will not complete the ride quality. That's a really good question and up until recently I had the same question. the best way that I can explain it I can explain it is some air rides are just simply for show and some are for the comfort of the ride. Think of it this way there's a lot of motorcycles out there that look really good when they let the air out of the suspension and the bike sits all the way down on its frame, obviously those are high custom motorcycles but that's the type of air ride system that they need to have a certain appearance. The legend suspension kit that I have on my motorcycle Is all about giving you complete control to dial your suspension in to your riding style, it's designed for comfort. The air a's like I have on my bike have a valve on the bottom where you can adjust the rebound, you can make it softer or you can make it more firm. it's not designed for you let the air out and air it backup all the time, you're supposed to set the ride height and then you adjust the knob to dial in your preferred comfort level and you're supposed to leave it alone after that. More easily said some are for show and some are for go. Hope that helps.
Also I just want to make this abundantly clear to anybody who reads this comment I think that all air ride systems serve a purpose, I don't think there's good ones and bad ones, I think you have to buy the air ride system for your specific need.

Had the full set (front and rear) installed at Sturgis this year, so far so good. Get the gauge as well, it will keep you from guessing.
