    Now this is a great video to show the overall pros an cons of power shovels. Not much details about the specific one you had there, but still helpful information about what type of shovel to purchase. Living in Europe I dont have much of a driveway to free of snow, but a whole stretch of sideway in front of the house and my back isn't happy with that. As you pointed out, a tool with a cable is a lot cheaper, but the cable gets in the way and is a pain inn the a**, especially on a long narrow sidewalk. An akku-tool on the other hand can get very expensive, not only starting with a higher price from the begin, but you also need to consider the cost for the akku-system and, as in your case and some others that I found, that you maybe only buy a tool-head for which you need to have the right handle/power unit. A long time ago I decided to use the Makita akku-system, which I'm quite happy with, but Makita has pretty much the same deal as Ryoby, where you need to hve - or buy additionally - the handle with the powersource, which I don't have. But fortunately there are other manufacturers who offer a complete power shovel which use the Makita akku system (and there are also options for Ryobi and several other systems).

    I bought it and used it for a couple years, it's not bad. Wish it was a few inches wider for those days when you only get half an inch of snow which we get a lot so that I don't need to make so many paths to clear the driveway. Wish it had a metal cutting edge so that it would scrape all the way down to the concrete instead of sliding on a layer of snow on top of it due to the thick plastic cutting edge. I understand they have the plastic cutting edge to protect those wooden decks and patios but I wish they had an option for a metal scraping cutting edge like a regular shovel or snowblower has. Would save a lot of time if it was a bit wider. Not good if you're dealing with more than 6 inches of snow because then you need multiple passes in the same spot to get through it. At the end of the driveway it struggles hard and you pause many times to wait for it to spin up to full speed, but it gets it done so long as there aren't ice chunks. If there are ice chunks, you are better off using just about anything else including a regular shovel. If you get it, you got to keep on top of clearing the driveway regularly because if you let the snow pile up too high at the end of the driveway or on your driveway you're going to have a bad day. A battery that's less than a few years old and I can do my entire driveway, end of driveway, and sidewalk with it on a single charge with 5 inches of snow, no problems there. I'm sure that's not going to last though as most of my Ryobi batteries have degraded to about half their original capacity over the past 10 years.

    @charleshines2142 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I have the trimmer and tiller. They both work really well. I have no doubt that would also work well aside from the cold weather problem that some batteries have but it should not be too big of a problem if you keep the battery in a room temperature place at least over night before you use it. If it really is too cold for it wrap the battery while it is on the tool with something to insulate it. It will look strange but maybe you can get the battery to last a little bit longer that way.

    Hey man first time watching your vids. 1st thing 1st, fk the haters. You're not sponsored by Ryobi and you're providing a free service to the public. People should be grateful. So I want to say thanks , I appreciate you. 2nd, it's great seeing real world reviews and comparisons done in common situations. Overall I like your approach. If you wouldn't have mentioned that you need the expansion pack to operate shovel I guarantee that besides myself, there would be a lot of people experiencing sticker shock when they learned ( be it at the store or online or worst case at home ) that they either purchase the expansion or it won't work. That would lead to a lot of pissed off consumers. So good looking out on letting us know. Either way man you keep doing what you do. If your service didn't provide valuable info your station wouldn't be up and running . I'm subscribing to you. Thank you again man .

    you need a support bracket from tc bros ( 30.00) , then chop off the bolt nubs and get some breathe bolts (45.00) - tc bros has a basic filter (60.00) like this but NO bolt wings ( it is held on by support bracket ) otherwise this will leak oil into carb ( and probably all over bike ) like any other

Making it “ race only air cleaner will avoid any EPA regulations. Same concept as their exhaust. Right now i can buy a Trask air cleaner for $740AUD but the external breather kit is $260AUD. That shits me to tears because the external breather is more then 1/3 the price

    Got one more question how did you space the floor board out?

    • @bigshow65
      @bigshow65 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just measured the distance from the mount to the floorboard mount that I needed to clear the heat shield of the exhaust and I made a piece to fit that gap. Which actually wasn’t big enough that’s why notched out the heat shield because when I measured it, I didn’t have the heat shield on the exhaust.

    Turn two short pieces of angle iron into a U shape, by overlapping. Bolt them together and drill out holes to fit the Blast's side and the peg thingy. You'll need some more bolts and nuts. It's a tad wider, but taking off the sides becomes a few minutes, instead of a few hours....

      OK, so I’m having a hard time finding a lot of information on them as well but from what I can figure if they look almost the same, but I couldn’t tell you for sure if that bracket would work. I’m sorry man. I searched as far as I could, I cannot find any definitive answer for you. Now having said that let me say this if it was my bike, I would buy it and try it. It’s so close it might work or you may have to open the holes up a little bit bigger to make it fit, but I would spend the money on it even if I had to retrofit it, I would.

      The legends air ride is more comfortable than the J&R air ride because of the adjustable rebound factor but both J&R air ride and legends air ride are drastically better than the stock you’re not gonna go wrong with either one.
