I'm so late to this video but... had to comment anyway! THESE COLORS -- I'm in love with them. They remind me of my early childhood in the late 70's, with the warm earthy tones and prints! In love with them! :)

Hi. Hello from Yorkshire in the UK. These are gorgeous. I personally prefer them a bit darker than the original napkin colour. They're probably darker because of the gold background whereas before the background was the white tissue. There lovely. Look gorgeous with the gold edges.

The coasters look lovely as well as the crystal, I make cards, I need a weight to pop on glued pieces to ensure they stick evenly, the crystal looks perfect as it is lovely to look at too 😊😊
I love the use of napkins. These coasters came out fantastic. I have to agree the 1st pour with the glitter was to much however the 2nd was perfect. Love the bonus pours also. Thank you Michelle

Little kids love “don”ald duck 😆 and yes they did! If you don’t want that to happen use a white backing.

I just love your ideas!!!! I’ve followed your directions and tried two different napkin designs including this one. I had issues with the color changing on my first napkin experiment, even with some color change they still came out so beautiful! I was feeling like with the dark glitter background maybe the napkin became a bit translucent and that might have contributed to the color darkening 🤷🏼♀️ I actually picked up the gift bags with the same design and used them! They came out beautiful. I really love your channel, thank you for teaching us ❤

Beautiful! With my diamond dust, I add just a tip of the spoon full and that is always the perfect amount. Just a 1/4 full, really, gives the most beautiful amount of sparkle. You can also just use the tip of a popsicle tip full. That jar will last forever! I ordered mine from a small business there in Florida. I like supporting other crafters. Now, I’m going to have to order myself one of those ring holders from you! It’s really a beautiful mold. I love pumpkins, too. Fall is my favorite season as well. I’m an October baby, so it was usually beautiful weather on my birthdays. I hope it is this year, too. This summer has been brutal! It’s been as hot as 107 some days! 🥵 Arizona has had nothing on East Central Texas this year. 🫠

I think they turned out beautiful. Never thought about using napkins, have plenty of them as I make a lot of decoupage plates with them. I just love your ideas & challenges that you & it your husband do. My husband runs away, lol! Love your backyard! I would be fishing in that lake while my projects were drying 😂

You can try printed origami paper too. I just ordered a bunch. Love the coasters. ❤ it wasn't the crushed crystal that darkened them though. It was the darker background and the topcoat soaking in.

I just knew you were going to put to much, lol. I liked that you got rid of the reisn by using other molds then just adding the clear. There’s enough sparkle now not to overwhelm. I’ve got to go back and find your other napkin video’s so I can see what kind of napkins will work and what kind won’t. These turned darker but I kind of like them like that. Love the gold edging also. I was expecting a little reaction about Don popping in (I figure you do the editing) so was surprised you didn’t say anything.
If I would’ve used a white background they wouldn’t have been so dark. By the time I edit it’s too late 😁

These turned out beautiful! I use paper and fabric on my coasters and tumblers sometimes but I always seal with mod podge.

So pretty!! Good save! I also love the napkin thing… so what I was wondering is maybe you can test the napkin your going to use… see if it gets really dark, if so just put a thin layer of white between the first glitter layer and the napkin.. these came out pretty!❤

I’ve seen other people use tacky glue or modpodge to glue paper images onto their coasters and seal it before pouring a layer of glitter on top so that the resin doesn’t “stain” it and the image stays crisp and clear. Perhaps try that next time? Gorgeous coasters though! I kinda like the muted image of the napkins
Sealing doesn’t work for me, it makes the paper wet and wrinkles and tears happen😑 the background color affects it, I’m doing a video now with a white background same paper.

I would love to see the crystals with a petri effect. I wonder if it might look like stalagmites in the crystals?
If you did the ink again, maybe take a skewer or small craft stick and push the color into the resin on the ring holder. Not really stir it, but push into the bowl part way in various places. ❤

I had bought some bottles of chunky glitter at Walmart. They were still in the sack so I took them out yesterday. One bottle looks so much like the one you bought that you said would be good for mermaids. I used it to do a set of thinkers and I like them a lot. I promise I saw your suggestion for always pouring A first but I couldn’t remember and poured one of them twice so I certainly had a mess!

Do you seal your napkins? I was told to seal paper before putting in resin, but I like the look of the roughness. I wonder if the sealing would keep the color or if you still would have the color change.
I have a video coming next week to show how to keep color. Dealing with mod podge didn’t work for me made too many wrinkles and tears.
Did you try to seal the napkins first? That may have maintained their color but since I’ve never tried yet I haven’t a clue.
I don’t have luck sealing with mod podge, it usually wrinkles or tears the napkin 😑

No I didn't do anything to them, just placed in the resin.
After you put the napkin onto the tacky resin... Can you modpodge it to try to keep the original colors? Or will that jeopardize the texture of the napkin?
It’s the background that changes it, look out for a new video coming out soon showing the difference with the same napkins.
