🌴 Hey Forest , ha,ha,are we having fun yet! Well ya just made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear , she was ruff, but y’all turned it around , and it was move’n along pretty good on the water , I just got my transom in yesterday day on project nano flats skiff and got to grind and cover it with glass if it doesn’t rain on me , then I can start cutting out my front seat area to make my front casting platform , it is an 11’ - 1965 Cacci craft - three seat fiberglass fishing boat that will get converted into a forward and aft deck mini flats skiff , undecided yet on weather to cut out the mid seat because it could be used as dry storage 🤔 I’ve got a refurbished 1977 Johnson 15 horse all re done waiting to go on it , all my products are from Fiberglass coatings ,I’m lucky enough that there only a mile down the road from me 👍🏼 been waiting for some vids from ya , 👍🏼👊🏼
Hey man, loving watching you work your magic and explain how your doing it as well and your thought process behind it. Working on a project myself that I got a little ambitious on, but seeing you get after it is a true inspiration. Never change my man, looking forward to all of your content. Cheers to you :)
HWAYLERRRRRRR!!!! 😂😂😂 awesome video as always my brother! Sick edits awesome footage! You really show you can take anything in bad shape and give it a second life! 🤙
Thank you so much! I appreciate your positivity and channel support! TH-cam is an interesting beast, hopefully in time my channel grows to where it can be my sole focus. Until then I’ll keep plugging away the best I can! And honestly, if the channel never grew to be anything any bigger I’d still continue and love every bit of sharing with you guys, you guys with the positive mindsets / engagement , are who keep me plugging along and motivated. Cheers to you!
Thanks so much! In part 2 I’ll be doing a thorough walk thru with the skiff and sone of the things I didn’t explain in part 1. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
Hi Mark! Thanks so much buddy, always happy to see your comments! Yeah, a bit of a bummer but she’ll make it over sooner then later! And haha, you’ll see soon enough ( my next upload ) what I did with the dusky parts and new project 😎. It’s actually an old Aquasport 196 I’m building and I was repurposing the old Dusky inboard engine cover for it and for this skiff . 🙃. Stay tuned !
I am working on my project skiff and i like the way you mounter the throttle and shifter to the side of the boat. How did you mount it? I dont want to put holes in the side of the boat.
Great question. Interior was Oil based Rustoleum paint with use of a Hardner from tractor supply that makes it dry faster and gives it great durability / UV protection. I’ll throw some links up soon. Exterior was Gel Coat from FGCI.com I’ll tag you when I list links. Cheers!
Hey man I love the videos .. I wanna build a composite decked Johnson skiff I have a 14 footer I want to extend the fiberglass hull to 16 foot with a slight tunnel on the bottom … how should I go about getting the best bond and strength from the transom to the extension I build , would love some fiberglass to composite material tips as well , I’m in central Florida , Fish crystal river tones and love small skiffs for skinny water , see tons of these hulls like the one in the video for 200 or so bucks . if I built it with minimal weight about how deep does it draft you’d say ? Or should I look for a more flat bottomed hull ? I like fiber glass but may build a jet jon since it’s a lower unit killer around here
Great video. Gonna help me get back my motivation to get back to work on my skiff project
Heck yes!! This is music to my ears! 🙌🏽😎
Love your energy bro! Thank you thank you, when i feel down i know i can watch your videos to feel better and closer to the sea.

So cool...
Hey man, another fun one! Thanks for sharing. Sorry she didn’t make the crossing but it will happen. What are you doing with the Dusky?!

Wish I had place to work on my skiff that was covered.
Don't we all
I’d like to see a nice 19’-21’ pilot house skiff. I know that kinda hinders a skiff’s abilities but I’d still like to see it.
That is exactly what I have planned for my 20 foot skiff
I want to build a sweet skiff!
That thing with a 70 must have been a handful 😳
Hey señor, sell me that little aluminum boat that's on the grass.
These old trihull to me ride dry and stable
Agreed 100%! Considering how many are out there for little to no money, an Dd how solid they laid the hulls up back then, they’re hard to beat!
I am working on my project skiff and i like the way you mounter the throttle and shifter to the side of the boat. How did you mount it? I dont want to put holes in the side of the boat.
Looks like a Malibu skiff..
Another nice skiff build…good job!
It kinda looks like an MFG, but not sure what you started with on this one?
Looks god but why not put the gas tank in one of those big boxes in the back and use the other side for storage?
Very cool! What happened to the submarine build?
Thank you! The sub will be shown soon 😎. I’m just waiting on Tony Fun-tana to come pick it up! 😂😂
What paint did you use, inside outside

Is that a Mitchell 17?

Can you travel to the abacos to help me with a project
❤
😎
Dude where the videos been what's up on the sub build!?
I think you need to STOP WAVING THE DAMN CAMERA AROUND LIKE IT WAS A FOAM FINGER AT A FOOTBALL GAME !!!
UGGH!
OBEY NO WAKE ZONES!!!!! 😡 That was Hosford Park boat ramp on Gaines Ave. CLEARLY MARKED NO WAKE ZONE.
Crikey! 😬 Good to know, thank you much!🙏🏼 cheers
I didn't see a wake .
