I have the Vevor dual carrier 600 lbs capacity. My 2 bikes weigh 135 lbs. and 95 lbs. It works very well especially after putting on a LED tail/brake/turn signals. It was very low and scraped a little when entering or leaving some driveways, I just got a hitch elevator, which raised the whole assembly up a extra 6.5 inches.
i just purchased one of these and figured it would be easier to put together with the hitch already mounted to vehicle then put together which worked out pretty good nice video and thanks for your time posting this
Timely video for me. I also have recently purchased the M20 dual battery bike. I was thinking of the harbor freight motorcycle carrier, but I like the Vevor better after your review. Looks cleaner in the black and comes with tie down straps. Thanks for doing the legwork for me. Tax season is a bad time for a CPA to be comparison shopping.
Nice set up. I’ll definitely have to look into one of those for my e bike but definitely going to have to set up an antitheft device so somebody can’t take my bike while it’s on the hitch😊
Good thinking. I literally plan to only have mine on the truck when I'm going to an expo or out into the middle of nowhere. Will probably attach it with a bike chain so there is something to deter thieves, but mostly just plan to be away from people, :D.
I've had quite a few and for the money, most of them are great. I used this mount last weekend and drove about 5-6 hours away with the ebike on the back and it didn't move an inch. It worked great.
Fine...except I can't believe for an instructional video that you didn't show the strapping and cinching process!!! What keeps the bike from toppling?...Your video DID NOT answer that question. Kinda basic omission. Never assume the viewers know as much as you. That's covered in TH-cam 101
Yeah, that's a valid point. There are a million videos out there about strapping down bikes and motorcycles to these carriers and this was already at almost 15 minutes, so I omitted it. Could definitely do a follow up video of simply "how to strap down the bike to a hitch carrier" for sure though.
@@AllThingsOverlanding Thanks, I just bought one for my new Lectric XP Long Range. I'll unbox it today. I am curious what keeps the bike upright from the forces of braking and acceleration. It doesn't appear to sit deeply in the tray and there's no structure above the bike. Just straps? It will be useful, as I have a Classic AWD Astro Van with Dutch Doors and a Yakima Swing Away Hitch Adaptor. Cheers
@@mikehiers NP! It’s basically just a combo of the orange straps that come with it and the included ratcheting straps. You essentially attach 4 straps (one on each side of the front and back) and ratchet it down until it’s so tight that it can’t move. Once strapped down, I’ve bounced around on the highway at speed, brakes hard, and even offroaded and the bike doesn’t move at all.

That's a good idea actually because mounting it is the hardest part. But, eventually you have to take it off. But, it works well!

Haha, so many things to buy, so little money, :D.
Nice video !

Are vevor products reliable? Thinking about getting one but I’m not sure if I can trust it.

Do you have clearance on an empty hitch to put the tailgate down?
Yep, if the bike is off, the tailgate goes down with no contact.
😎 🆒
Thanks!
