@@PZPal I have a P0420 code on my 2007 Toyota yaris but no engine light, I only found that out through Scan tool, what do I do because it is not smog ready, it given me the yellow exclamation mark rather than the green one. what do I do????could be I just have drive a few miles for it to go through the cycles, since it is only yellow and there no check Engine Light?
@@alexshatner3907 "fix" shown here will only remove check engine light, which is also against the law in many states. To properly fix it, you might have to replace catalytic converter.
HelloPZPal, I have an Infiniti JX 35 and my car didn't passed the smog test. Code reader showing PO 420- PO 430 efficiency below trash-hold ....I wonder if would be a same routine to fix my catalytic converter issue?Thank you
Sounds like it's the same issue. In my state there is no smog test requirements and I don't know if they check under the vehicle to see if there are adapters in place. Just check with your local laws and regulations, but if you can do that and it will pass the test, the procedure is very easy. Let me know how it goes if you'll end up doing it.
I doubt it if you get these check engine light codes. More than likely catalytic converters need to be replaced. Some countries/states can just install adapters (like in this video) to bypass the check engine lights, but check with your local codes/laws if its allowed.
@@PZPal I just got brand new cats installed and this code still happening lmao. Only thing I haven't ever changed which could potentially cause this is fuel injectors or my upstream sensors.
@@RexxorDDG wow that's crazy. Keep me updated when you figure out what's the problem. It's always toughest to me to troubleshooting problems than to actually replacing what needs replacing lol
this adapter never worked on a 2010 .6.1 dodge challenger with a po430 code. i actually took it off 4 different times and gradually increased the hole size in this adapter junk, the light in my instrument panel returned each time .. i know 100 percent my cat is the issue... this did nothing for me ty
Hello mu brother My name souliman I have question for you please give an real answers I am leaving in UAE and l owner lexus ls 430 And lam facing the same issue I already purchased two sensors holder and the new model of this sensor are with samll catalyst and filters My questions Does using this type of filter actually cancel the operation of the sensor, and does the flow of gasoline stabilize? Please advise Many thanks
My understanding is since the sensors that I was testing with these adapters were post catalytic converter, it does not affect gasoline, but all it does is gets rid of check engine light. I believe the adapter creates bigger distance, so sensor still works, but shows voltage within the needed limit.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. My 2003 Camry takes a lot of crankings to stay running. It runs for about 3 to 5 seconds, then stops. Eventually, it stays running. I have a P0420 . Could this be the reason it takes a lot to stay running? Does anyone know? I was thinking about replacing the sensors. Let me know. Thanks
My understanding is this sensor just tells amount of gasses post converter so I don’t think replacing the sensor will improve performance, but I could be wrong
No idea. I think size should be same as engines are almost identical. As far as straight and curved, you could try same as I did, but since its a different car, you could look there and see if there is same space as it is on my car
It's tough to find them on amazon as in many states (or maybe even nationwide) they're not allowed to be used. You could find them through google search, just make sure you're not breaking any laws.
Hello I have a 2016 v6 mustang and both codes 420 and 430 are popping up I took it to my local Autozone and what popped up the catalytic converter before that my car was in the dealership for 2 months and they told my my cats are getting clogged what can I use to unclog them
I used this before amzn.to/46RKnQY and I heard people use it to pass emission tests. I don't think it will help in long run though, only option is to get those adapters (if your state allows it) or replace the catalytic converter.
That is a very clean underside of a car under there!
Thanks, living in Florida keeps the underside very clean lol

Were can i buy the adapters at let me know??
You'll have to search on google as eBay and Amazon tend to block those products
So was it the catalytic converter’s because the odds of both of them going out at once is not very good
I think it was catalytic converters
I changed my down-stream sensors and it still is happening with brand new OEM cats. Could it be the upstream ones?

I clicked on the link in your video to order the adapter and it’s currently not available on Amazon is there anywhere else I can get the part from
Amazon blocks those pretty fast. Probably just do google search and find them on other online stores
What bank is P0430?
Bank 2

where can I buy them 2009 dodge ram 1500 4 sensors
Search on Google as Amazon doesn’t sell them most of the time
That’s not working for me only temporary the light back again
That's strange, I'd assume either problem with something else or the spacer is not long enough.
The links don’t work for the adapters

Hey brother, what should be the description to search on google?
I think oxygen sensor adapter will show you some results. Just check with your local laws on what you allowed to do etc.

Just turn off check engine light.
Which one is bank 1? P0420
From what I remember, bank 1 is passenger side.
Them 2 codes gone then got new code saying o2 sensor overheated. . . . lol

I’m late, but it can be your mass airflow sensor
Dosent work. Don't waist time and money
And on the top of it it is illegal
As I said in the video, check with your local and federal laws before doing that. When I tested it, it worked flawlessly for over 20k miles.
