Your information regarding the Staedtler lead box was helpful too, but (my main reason for coming here) is the use of the plastic lid included at one end of the box? I also hadn't realised that there is a sharpener within the pusher on my Staedtler Mars thechnico Pencil', and so am guessing when using sharpener that this plastic one should be installed whilst sharpening my lead to safeguard against the lead falling out?
