KOKOS BEACH BAR
At Jan Thiel baai Kokos beach bar is probably the best place to chill out.
TORTUGA TRAIL
The Tortuga trail is a beautiful loop trail. It is not too difficult and it will bring you along cliffs and through fields full of cacti. Look out for sea turtles down in the ocean and you may find reptiles everywhere.
HATO CAVES AND INDIAN TRAIL
The Hato caves, the biggest cave system on Curaçao is definitely worth a visit. Small passes make place for massive underground chambers. Next to the Hato caves, you find the Indian trail. This trail leads you to ancient rock paintings and you can learn about the Caribbean plantlife.
KOKOMO BEACH
Get away from the crowds and visit Kokomo Beach. Hidden away in between cliffs and far from Mambo beach, you will find peace here. They serve delicious cocktails and food for reasonable prices. The underwater world is amazing here so make sure to go on a dive with Trunk divers.
WILLEMSTAD
With their colorful houses, Punda and Otrobanda are truly one of a kind. Discover the beautiful street art and walk the larges floating and moving bridge in the world: the pondjesburg.
PLAYA SANTA CRUZ
This is your starting point if you to hike to the Blueroom. Make sure to pack a lot of water. Only enter the blue room if you are an experienced and confident swimmer. Be at the blue room during the morning as the sun then beautifully lights up this underwater cave in a blue hue.
KLEINE KNIP
The Kleine knip is a beautiful beach away from the crowds. Since it is so far away you mainly find locals-only here. Be careful after sunset because the lack of security makes this place perfect for criminals.
GROTE KNIP
The Grote knip is a beautiful beach away from the crowds. Since it is so far away you mainly find locals-only here. Be careful after sunset because the lack of security makes this place perfect for criminals.
DE VISSERIJ
This is the best place in Curaçao where you can eat fresh-caught fish.
AVILA BEACH RESORT

CHRISTOFFELBERG + CHRISTOFFELPARK
Hike up the Christoffelberg early in the morning and watch the sunrise from the top. Afterward, go visit the Christoffel park and witness some crazy natural phenomena such as Shete Boka, Boka Wandombi, Boka tabla, and Boka pistol.

I grew up in Curaçao and have to say this video was very well done. Enjoyed hearing the Dutch and Papiamento. Sure miss the island. Last time I was there was right before Covid so I wasn’t able to make my regular visit back home!

Curaçao has a lot to offer! Definitely enjoy your resort but also go out and see the country. Very cool things to do: Hato caves, blue room (be carefull!), go see the sea turtles at playa piscado, hike up the christoffelberg berg to watch a sunrise.

I saw all these curaçao videos last months ago, because my husband, my children and my grand kids come with me to enjoy the beauty of this island. But we are all very disappointed. The island is just overcrowded with tourists. The beach, where you can supposedly swim with turtles, was closed. The restaurants are also very booked. Unfortunately, tourists leave all their rubbish on the beaches and the streets of the entire island are full of plastic waste at the ditches and also in Willemstad. The locals also dump their rubbish in the streets. The lizards are beautiful, but the animals can no longer rest on the island. The service is friendly, but everything takes forever. It's a shame. Unfortunately we will not be back. And actually it should be our dream vacation.

Hi Ruth! We are not sure, but we think that it should be possible because you don’t have to enter the hotel itself to visit the Tomasito cave. Try to visit the beach ‘Playa Kalki,’ and from there you can go up the stairs to get to the hotel ground. Just follow the path that surrounds the apartments and you will reach the Tomasito cave. Hope you can still visit this beautiful spot!

Hey, wij zijn allebei gecertificeerd maar denk dat eigenlijk elke duikschool ook duiken aanbied voor mensen die nog nooit gedoken hebben. Zou ffkes op hun site kijken👍 sowieso wel een mooie locatie en een hele fijne instructeur die alles heel goed uitlegt

Hi Kelli, great choice to visit Curacao for your 50th birthday; it's beautiful! Which place we would recommend you to stay depends a little bit on the type of holiday that you want. If you want to lay on the beach sipping a cocktail, I recommend staying somewhere at Mambo beach (for example, Lion's Dive resort)! If you want a more exclusive stay, or if you want to do more adventurous or cultural activities, maybe try staying at Klein Santa Martha. That place is truly beautiful! Watch the video from 06.22 to see our visit to Klein Santa Martha. For luxury, I think Avila Beach is a great resort (watch the video from 26.36). Enjoy your time on this beautiful island!
