Thanks for the video. The bolt you shown is correct and from what i understand the breakage is caused by people using aftermarket seats. Apparantly, aftermarket seats didn't do a cut out to accomodate the bolt.. Also, the new bolt is going up in size from 1/4" to 5/16" ARP button head torx bolt. This is what im understanding about the recall.
The bolt might still break I belive its just a cheap or poor material used that's why they are breaking. thanks for watching this video I appreciate you
I don't understand. I took my 2021 Heritage iin for the recall. I do have an aftermarket "Ultimate" seat. They told me the bolt only needs replacing if a new shock was installed for the purpose of raising or lowering the seat height. Is there some validity to this, or should I take it in again and demand an upgraded bolt?
Thats a new one there..... if you're bike calls for the recall then they should not question any thing. You should have received a notice from HD ALLREADY
I was responding to a written notice I had received from Harley. The more I think about it, the more I think I will return in the Spring and demand the upgraded bolt.

Your idea to change to ARP bolt is spot on.
I will change it to the Arp bolt as soon as the recall is done. Thanks for watching this video I appreciate you

I heard some aftermarket seats are resting on the adjuster and breaking the bolt
That's possible I have the stock seat on the bike thanks for watching this video I appreciate you
Maybe add a nylon lock nut to new screw ?

Overpriced junk.. Harley hasn't made a decent bike since the '90s..
