- Nintendo really did their best to get rid of all glitches in Super Mario Maker 2. They removed a couple of fun mechanics that often were the starting point for Super Mario Maker glitches. Basically, they did everything they could to release Super Mario Maker 2 completely glitchless. Naturally that didn’t work out that great. So today we are going to take a look at the first round of glitches, that already got discovered in Super Mario Maker 2.

The shell manipulation could be an evil requirement for level completion...
The question is whether or not it's a glitch
I can picture it now: an entire level with an enticing POW block at the beginning that drops down a few tasty bonus coins; little does the player know that without that POW block in its place anymore, the balance of the universe is thrown into chaos and a shell at the end of the level goes the wrong way and doesn't hit the right switch.
In fact, I might make a level like that! "The Butterfly Effect"

Quick fun fact: the flying chain chomps actually worked in smm1 but was only discovered less than a week before the release of smm2

@@theivoryguy2476 lol, I was playtesting a troll mechanism. It wasn't always working right, so I took the P-switch up with me to see what was happening. It then proceeded to never work. I was baffled.

Thanks as always Ceave, your setups always inspire me. I made a level LKP-RNS-SWF called Starbase Escape which utilizes the teleporter and the shell manipulation. Grab the pow block from the Transporter Bay and use it to power the generator and escape!
Hopefully the transporter glitch isn't patched any time soon.

I'm a fairly new subscriber, so far loving your videos! Just one suggestion/request: can you have a look at adjusting the audio levels in your outro? Namely, balancing between the music level and the voice/mic level. The music seems to drown out your voice and the music seems really loud. Maybe you could fade in the music, so that the full volume only starts when you finish talking. Just a suggestion that's been bugging me but doesn't deter from the fact you're my favourite technical SMM TH-camr! :)

Wasn't a similiar glitch to the chain-chomp one discovered in Mario Maker 1 some time before the release of the second?
yeah but the smm2 one is much easier to do, it only works in 1 if a yoshi bounces up a note block at the same time as the chomp going over it (or other enemy)
at 2:56, he was so enthusiastic! I love it so much that i replay it constantly for fifteen minutes and i'm still amused! Great glitch video!
