I don’t know how a dog could ever be so trusting having been through what she has been through. It was immediate like she knew she needed help and even if she was unsure she knew it was her only chance and she jumped on it! She’s been jumping on it ever since with every treat and bowl of food!

Only guess as to why halo was abandoned is the eyes. It's possible halo became blind after adoption but going by the ears I'm guessing charity was never the goal

Breaks my heart that Halo was hurt, abused, & abandoned so cruelly...
...but fills my heart that empathetic, decent/kind people turned Halo's story around (and that Halo was so gracious in accepting their love/help! my heart...you'd expect so much more fear and anger/resentment, but she's an angel!)

I cried instantly when I saw the thumbnail, and even more when you said she got her ears cut off by scissors and her teeth grinded down. I can't believe what she went through. It's a miracle that she is such a sweet dog despite all the cruelty she suffered. Thank you for saving her.

I have never heard of cutting the ears with scissors, but I have heard of people cutting their tails with scissors or a nail clipper when they’re babies. People are so cruel.
@@Studentofgosset There are times it is recommended. Livestock Guardian Dogs often have cropped ears to deal with animals like wolves or coyotes. But this time was just cruel and unnecessary

I will never never understand why a human being could abandon a beautiful sweet girl. My dog Sparky is 13 years old and the thought of him being abandoned like that makes me cry. He has given me so much love and cuddles ❤
The people that abandoned her in the woods should be brought back to the same place and have them tied to a tree and leave them in the woods and see how well they do. I have zero tolerance for these type of people. Thank God, these amazing folks rescued this precious little girl and gave her the life she deserves.
Back in the 80's me and my younger brother found out our sisters boyfriend slapped her around. We snatched him one night, drove up to Kent CT and walked him into the woods about a half mile. We made him take his clothes off, chained him to a tree and let the mosquitos have him. He was found the next day, he refused to tell anyone what happened to him. He broke up with our sister and never had anything to do with her again!
Certain people only learn lessons the hard way. so it seems he did haha! respect bruva!

@@trevvert9981came to write this very same thing. I rescued a 45 lb male boxer full grown. He had ground down teeth, scars on nose and ears. Pawn for fighting and teeth which couldn't defend himself. Idk how but this little guy broke free and ran away. I was the lucky one who got to see him through the rest of his happy, fulfilled life. You can't buy love, but you can rescue it.

Reminds me of my little blind girl that my dad found abandoned. She passed away last august at only 4. She suffered severe seizures and other medical issues. But you can bet your ass that we treated her like a princess and made those short 4 years as close to paradise as we could for her.

I was bit by a blind pit bull.. I swear he could see.. He did not like me from the beginning. And made it clear when he bit me.

Thank you to ALL for saving this sweet dog! I have a blind cat and blind animals are not that difficult as people would think. You just keep their food, water, bedding, furniture In the same place and they will learn very quickly. They will bump Into things but they will process It and just keep on moving. Just treat them like any other cat or dog. SO worth It!

What gets me with these videos is that no matter what these animals have been through, no matter what kind of monster people they encountered or how they were treated, they are almost always able to find love and trust in humans again. Even the most distrusting of dogs that growl and snap at people trying to help them eventually soften their hearts and learn to trust people again. It makes me cry every time. Dogs really do have unending love to give, even if they thought they would never be loved again

My Pittie is well into her 14th year now. Has gone blind and is losing her hearing slowly. She stumbles more often but we still go for short walks daily. She's the gentlest living creature I've ever known in my 77 years.

Yep, especially when they said her teeth were ground down. She was probably used for breeding first(because of her elongated nipples) and then a bait dog once she got older.
Dogs can also grind their teeth down chewing out of boredom on wood and bricks etc, breeding dogs are often left alone for long times so that's plausible too

Watching her as an older dog but not a puppy, encourages me to rescue a dog that needs even more love.
