I've never seen a dog that emaciated and neglected survive. Thanks to you dedicated caregivers and his strong will to survive, he's a healthy and happy puppy now. You guys are phenomenal!!

It breaks my Heart to say that there are millions of children who starve to death every year. This wonderful example should motivate us to reach out where help is badly needed. If only human life was just as precious.

There seems to be so many dogs who have been mistreated and/or abandoned, they say dogs are man's best friend and it's about time we started treating them the way we treat our human best friends with love and respect.
Huskies are extremely smart escape artists and he might have belonged to someone who loved him very much but he gets out and never finds his way back home.

@@miked815 My wife and I bred, sold and helped to rehome Huskies for years. You're right about them being escape artists, but they are also one of the most frequently abandoned or surrendered breeds of dog. Many people get a husky because they like how they look, without doing proper research. Huskies require a massive amount of exercise when they are young. Otherwise they will act out and often destroy property. As they age they are notorious for developing certain medical issues that can be very costly to address. Mainly hip problems and damage to the ligaments in their hind legs. Huskies have extremely disproportionately strong hind legs. If they pull something too hard, they can tear their own ACLS. How many Huskies we saw being surrendered or abandoned increased sharply around 10 years ago. Oddly enough the cause was determined to be the HBO series "Game of Thrones". Many, many people watched that show and wanted the closest thing they could get to a dire wolf. When they realize that the husky isn't a dire wolf, or a toy, it's a high maintenance animal that demands a lot of their time, they get rid of it. There was a period of about a year in 2012-2013 that we would wake up or come home and there would be a leashed husky attached to our fence or porch (obviously not one of ours). That was happening 1-3 times a month for a while.
I’m a grown ass man but I teared up seeing his condition at the start. Stellar job saving Jake and what a beautiful dog he blossomed into ❤

Yeah, me too. I wish I were in a position to adopt another dog. Mine passed away a few years ago after 16 years, sure miss her. These videos make me cry, but I can't stop watching them.
The care given him was absolutely top notch. Just give great credit to the vets. Vetinarans have a very high rate of depression and even suicide due to seeing so very much neglect severe illness injuries and unnecessary death. Praise be to these people and these vets

I'm a rescuer of cats, I've seen cases like this where if people even cared a little bit, but no people don't care one little bit about these poor animals

Agreed. I'd go a step further and say calling it a miracle is an insult to everyone that put themselves aside to make it happen.
As I am setting here with tear in my eyes, I feel so happy and so mad. I love my animals, dogs and horses. I cannot believe that people would let an animal get in that shape. To to be honest, I think I love animals more than humans. They don't lie, break your heart, only occasionally steal from you ( house shoes, dinner left on the counter) but all in all , animals are far more noble than humans. Thanks to those that saved this dog. I believe he will be their best friend forever!

I can hardly watch these videos without crying my eyes out for these poor animals, thanks a trillion for saving him.
I saw a comedian talk about his wife's hobby as: "she likes to go online, and watch videos of disabled cats and dogs and cries over them. That's her hobby. I'll come home and she'll be like 'look at this poor thing! He's beautiful!'. That's her hobby now. " and i felt very called out by that! Haha
At least these videos have happy endings. It’s so painful to know that there are humans that hurt and neglect animals.

Many people must have noticed this dog and nobody cared enough to help him. It took months to get to this point! 😞
But then what do we do to cows, chickens, pigs? Don't we serve them on our plates? Don't we impregnate cows so we can drink their delicious milk that they produce for their calves?I don't but most people that care about dogs think it is perfectly fine to pay others to abuse and kill animals for them so they can have their juicy burger with a nice layer of crunchy bacon and a thick slice of yummy cheese. Isn't that also psychopath? To have a disconnect from what we do to animals just because they are conveniently wrapped in plastic in the supermarket? But then if something bad happens to a dog, they get all upset? What is the difference?

i've resueced two dogs from terrible near death conditions and both of them are soooo friendly to other people and animals--truly they are just GRATEFUL to be alive and have a family. this isn't something you can get from a dog who came from a mill or a breeder
As a Husky owner I'm absolutely appalled by this.
Any animal in this condition is a disgrace.

I have a husky pupperroni.... They are amazing, smart talkative, but they do need a little extra as they are so high energy. They were breed for rough work and survival. This husky didn't starve on his own....

I mean... I agree... but also.. most huskies are like... having 20000 dogs.... all at once. So.. in a way. I kinda do understand it can be overwhelming to people. That.. I understand. How people can go from... im overwhelmed... to no hope.. to... this crap. Thats beyond me. There are always choices thats not this. Sometimes I wish it required more than just a few bucks to get a dog. Other times I wish we could do these people... what they are willing to do to dogs...

Who did it to him? They said he collapsed in that yard. He was a stray. 😔 And domesticated dogs aren't as good as hunting as maybe a cat would be.

It’s so incredible that that’s the same dog in the beginning that we see in the end! I was in tears! Who can standby as that dog passes you and you see how incredibly hungry and malnourished he was and do nothing. I'm not crying, you're crying! This really stabbed me in the heart. He barely had a day, or less, to live and to see him at the end of the video was amazing. What a beautiful dog he turned out to be. So happy the rescuers saved him. You get angel wings for this one.

I kept seeing this video, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it, he just looked too far gone to have a happy ending. So happy I watched it, though. He really made an excellent recovery, didn't think his fur would ever recover, but it looks beautiful, he was skin and bones, but he put on healthy weight back on, and his happiness is the true cherry on top.

This story hits close to home. I saved a husky from Utah's west desert that was abandoned. She was the best dog.

Don't get me wrong i love my current dog that has known love and comfort from pup to now and never known hardship or hunger or fear but still i say that the dogs that have been through the mill and retain an independent spirit are the best dogs.

No words. I was devastates seeing how close he was to death. Can't stop crying from all he went through, but then so happy he was saved and loved and given a beautiful chance. I give credit to these beautiful souls who do the right thing and save these precious animals. It creates a ripple effect throughout our planet. ❤❤❤

It's so wonderful to see an animal emerge from the horror of their previous circumstances. It takes them a bit to be sure and feel confident that the new state of affairs is real, but when they do they go for it and live in the moment. I wish I could be like that.
