    Hello, one and all! Thank you for stopping by and watching our Lancer rear bumper tutorial video. This is a pretty quick and easy removal process and hopefully, this is detailed enough for you to get the job done quickly. We do want to point out that his car has been painted before on every side. As you can see, the original bumper does not match her rear quarter panels. The bumper we painted will also not match the panels but it will match the trunk lid.
    TOOLS NEEDED:
    A Philips screwdriver, a panel clip removal tool, or a flat-head screwdriver. Lastly, you'll need a 10mm wrench or socket wrench. An impact gun will be much faster with a 10mm socket.
    THE PROCESS:
    We started with the sides of the bumper ends or the fender liners. The fender liner is only attached to the bumper with a couple plastic clips. These are a bit different, in that you can unscrew these plastic screws but you have still need to pry the clip out. It should be pretty easy once you unscrew it but sometimes it just spins. If this is the case, try and wedge something behind the clip to hold it sturdy and unscrew it. There is what we like to call the universal bolt or screw, on every vehicle that will secure the bumper to the fender or rear quarter panel. It's always located on the corner of the bumper and usually goes into the bumper.
    Once we get through with the bumper ends, we like to move to the bottom bumper bolts and screws. This Lancer has clips on the bottom that secure it to the frame. There is a plastic clip on each end and probably a few in the middle. We say "probably" because this customer had all of them missing. So, they definitely had this bumper worked on in the past. But as long as the ends are secured, it should be fine. We do recommend installing all the clips and hardware needed but this customer said they would purchase it on their own. It's also best to release the bottom of the bumper before you do the top. This should prevent the bumper from falling while your working below it.
    Lastly, there are two 10mm bolts under the trunk lid. Now you are ready to dismount the bumper. Start with the bumper ends work your way to the middle. There are brackets on the ends and under the tail lights where the bumper snaps in to stay secured. Firmly but gently pull the bumper off these brackets starting on each end and move towards the middle.
    Congratulation, you just removed your rear bumper cover. We told you it was easy.

    Hi , do Mitsubishi 2017 model tail lights suitable for 2015 Ex model ?

    • @ReveMoto
      @ReveMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I am unsure. They look to be the same shape and there are companies that sell a 3rd party tail light from 2008-2017. I would double check on Lancer forums, thanks for watching!

    What if the bumper has rear parking sensors?

    • @ReveMoto
      @ReveMoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the question. The sensors normally clip onto the bumper and have a harness attached to them. You just unplug the harness and pop the sensors off. It sounds like an oversimplified description but it's very easy. Thank you for watching!
