    Enjoyed watching the install, clear directions! Wish they would make one for 2nd gens bc I think this is the best looking one on the market. Wouldn't mind a pre filter adapter also. We can all dream ha.

    I have a victory roof rack. It seems like the snorkel would be to the side of the roof rack. I wonder if I could just drill holes into the side plate of the roof rack and attach it that way. I don’t really want to take the roof rack mount off to attach the snorkel mount

    I just recently purchased a 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad but the previous owner installed a cold air intake on it and I don’t have the factory parts for the air box. How would that work?

    So I just purchased this set up for my 2017. I live in the East Coast and we get a fair amount t of coastal rain. I noticed after lite rain tonight that the snorkel itself and tubing along pillar had water in it. Almost wishing I’d have gone with ARB for the SyKlone attachment. Any recommendations other than having to turn the head around every time it rains? I’ve contact SyKlone asking if they have an adapter but I’ve received zero response.

    Great looking snorkel however, one important floor that needs to be noted of the snorkel head. They are not taking any accounting to design that many of these trucks or dare I say, most will put a roof rack on them for Overlanding especially on the Toyota right there there’s an immediate conflict. I have a Nissan frontier and would purchase this item as mine is a 2023 but know that with that current design if it looks the same for that truck, it will conflict with any of the roof racks on the market and recessive you for over landing.

    Can you run a snorkel with aftermarket intake? Such as afe for example

    • @aaaandrew
      @aaaandrew 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would assume so yes, because it still dumps to the OEM intake in the wheel well. You’d just have to do some cutting on the rubber duct. Don’t quote me tho lolol.

    Curious, how would it benefit if the snorkel is turned backwards? Wouldnt the vent facing backwards suck air out rather than in?

    • @D_Cali_Life
      @D_Cali_Life 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have to change it to backwards when it’s raining, so water doesn’t get sucked in

      To get cleaner colder air. It helps a lot when you take dusty roads or drive in the dessert.Also helps when crossing water

  • @janpur1417
    @janpur1417 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice! At 12:15, I think you are inserting the head too much into the main body of the snorkel. This I think is closing the gap between the opening on the main body and the head depriving the flow of air into the engine. One other thing is the snorkel is $500 while I bought my truck for $36K Brand new so the price is not proportional to the price of the truck.
    Also turning the head to rear is OK, but at high speeds, there will be a vacuum at the mouth of the head.

    • @Runnin4Tacos
      @Runnin4Tacos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback! The price of the snorkel shouldn’t be based off of how much you got the truck for but if you’d like a more expensive snorkel, check out the upTOP Overland snorkel.

    So many things wrong with this product. Probably just to give consumers some hopes, like installing a k&n filter to give it 20 horsepower 😂.
