    If you do decide to try this method with Stretch Magic or some other brand other than Opelon, the beads may not slide down as easily. You’ll need to help them along by sliding them down individually the best way you can until the looped end slides inside the first bead. It does take a little patience. 🙂

    That's awesome. Thanks for the tips with the needle and Fireline and the knotting technique. I've always been reluctant to make stretch bracelets because I've made a few that have popped on me. Doubling the stretch cord will fix that issue. I love your videos so please keep on making them.

    Luisa you never seize to amaze me! Another great tutorial! I want to try to start making my jewelry and I figured I would start with a simple stretch bracelet before I continued on to my memory bracelet. So of course I looked for your guidance. This was a wonderful tutorial and I can’t wait to get to the store to get what I need to get started. Purple is my absolute favorite color! I’m going to go through my purple beads so that I can make one out of them. Thank you again Louisa for all of your great guidance💜

    I have learned (the hard way) to pre-stretch the Stretch Magic. I stretch a couple of inches and move down and stretch the next couple of inches and continue until whatever length of Stretch Magic you need is all pre-stretched. If you don't do this, as you stretch your bracelet to put it on, eventually it WILL stretch out and you will not like the results!

    I tied the stretch string like you showed. My string UNTIES???? I did the series of knots, first was the over hand knot, next another overhand knot which would be a surgeons knot then, then another overhand knot. Then comes the E6000 glue, then the snip snip….the string starts to unravel. Do you have a video that describes simply the tying off of the bracelets??

    I am surprised that you do not use a Beadalon elastic cord needle since you use your metal wires with a stoppers on the end to set your beads up. The beetle on needle is almost exactly like the wires you use and it’s so much easier.

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I find it much easier to pass a needle and thread through the hole of a bead versus feeding a Beadalon needle plus the thread, especially if the holes are small. Does that make sense? The Beadalon needle doesn’t work with small holes. Also, my product “Magic Rods” is completely different than the Beadalon needles. Mine is strictly for bead pattern design and can be loaded from both ends. It was initially designed for the making of memory wire bracelets. The Beadalon needle can only be loaded from one end once it’s threaded. I hope I’ve clarified. 🙂

  • @katielyb
    @katielyb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I believe the initial knot you made is called a square knot. Also, you don't pre-stretch your cord? Okay, I guess the pulling technique you're using to finish it off does some of that.
