    There are a ridiculous amount of variables for making a durable stretch bracelet and this is the only video I've come across with a solid looking knotting technique. I wanted to sell some stretch bracelets but am working out a technique and identifying durable materials before I do it. Going to try this one as soon as I get my cord shipped in.

      I wear a stretch bracelet that never leaves my arm (sleep and shower in it.) The cording may wear out (usually 2 years of constant wear) but my knot never unravels. I appreciate your kind words.

    • @DeniseYezbakMoore
      @DeniseYezbakMoore  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's going to be really hard to hide a knot on seed beads. Let me think about it and try to come up with some ideas. Usually people add a bigger bead to hide the knot in seed bead bracelets.

    Hello Denise. I am new to beading and doing all of my research before I make my first piece. I've been watching so many youtube videos about tying stretch magic knots and am practicing my knots with the 1mm Stretch Magic cord that I purchased for my first necklace, but no matter how many times I try to tie various knot, it's just not staying tied and I'm getting so frustrated. Any tips please? Thank you.

    What a beautiful bracelet! I love the soft colors you chose and the scarab is a wonderful focal. That's a great tip for enlarging the holes of beads in order to be able to use a thicker and more secure stretch cord.
    When I've made a stretch bracelet for other people and it ended up not fitting, I've had to patiently dig out the glued knot from some very nice focal beads in order to restring. I changed that technique by choosing a lower cost coordinating large-hole bead for the knot and place it at the "back" of the bracelet opposite the focal. I usually choose a coordinating metal. If I have to restring something, I don't lose a focal bead.

    • @DeniseYezbakMoore
      @DeniseYezbakMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always preplan my sizes so this does not happen. You could let the knot dry and then slide it in. If it does happen, you could drill the bead out under water (way easier) or place your large hole bead at the beginning and design so it is in the back of the bracelet. Every designer designs differently. You have to choose what works for you 💋❤️💋

    • @gatheringmoss5726
      @gatheringmoss5726 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DeniseYezbakMoore Exactly. Always using a large hole bead at the back keeps me from ever having any issues and became a signature.

    Denise great video! Thank you for such a well done easy to follow tutorial. One question, after i do the first step of the knot and hold below with pliers, my knot doesn't want to slide down the cord. I've watched several times. Do you know what I might be missing?

    • @DeniseYezbakMoore
      @DeniseYezbakMoore  ปีที่แล้ว

      You must be placing your pliers in the wrong place. It needs to go through the loop and under the bottom strands. Watch it again and let me know how you do.

    Hello!
    My question is, what size elastic size for seed beads and how to hide the knot so it goes into small hole in beads? I hope I sm making sense here. Thank you 😊

    • @DeniseYezbakMoore
      @DeniseYezbakMoore  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Elastic stretchy cord comes in 0.5mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm sizes. When selecting an elastic cord, the general rule of thumb is to choose the largest cord that will fit in the bead holes. For smaller beads (like seed beads) use 0.5mm stretch cord. The only problem is that they can break easier.
      You can use a slightly larger beads to hide the knot. It’s hard to hide knots in seed beads. They just don’t fit.
