Gordon goes on Luxury restaurants and gets angry for overprice and helps the employees rather than only concurring with the owners.....so watch your comment
The only time to do that is camping. No problems in cooking with cast iron stuff, but for something like a grilled cheese? Not worth the effort to build a fire.
I feel like in reality he probably just throws some sliced cheese on normal ass sandwich bread but he had to get extra fancy for the cameras. You hear about it on tv from a lot of chefs who honestly don't put in anywhere near the same effort when cooking for themselves as they do when cooking for other people haha. Like, yes, I can fire up my outdoor fireplace, get out my good cast iron skillet, go buy artisan bread and 3 aged cheeses and try to concoct the masterful grilled cheese of the gods, or I can reach in my cupboard get 2 good ol pieces of white bread and toss a slice of cheddar in the middle with 1/10th the effort.
Truly enjoy this side of Josh. I know he’s crafted this internet persona of a zany goofballs but would love more videos like this where he and the rest of the MK crew are having open and honest conversation.
Don't downplay yourself as a chef Josh, you have exceptional skills. You also tend to use ingredients that people actually have in their kitchen which is one reason I myself appreciate your content!
Side note: I tried the double side grilling technique for my grilled cheese the other day. I’ve legit never made a more beautiful grilled cheese in my life.
When Josh said "you need to be able to control the heat. Low and slow" I felt that in my heart. Don't know how many times my mates, or my brother, would try to make a grilled cheese, and just crank the heat right off the bat. You're the best, Josh.

Even the masters fail sometimes. Greatness does not come from the inability to make mistakes. It comes from the ability to admit your mistakes when you make them.

I walked into this thinking there’s no way Gordon Ramsey puts out something this open to this level of criticism. And then I saw that grilled cheese sandwich and was instantly massively disappointed. Well pointed out and excellent pot shots taken sir
Oh and you missed that he switched the bread. The bread on the grill is BLACK on the edges but light brown on the table. So even when cheating he still messed it up.
GMM Episode : Gordon Ramsey and Chef Josh create a 5 course meal using their desired ingredients but essentially the same ( like grilled cheese but they can use whatever cheeses they want ) then Rhett and Link taste the dishes blindfolded and give points to decide who is the ultimate chef.
Sounds good to me. Although what if this is Josh's galaxy brain plan to cause the long awaited chef competition between Gordon Ramsay and Bobby Flay? If his next rant goes after Bobby, I will have called it. And then, finally, GMM presents Iron Chef: GMM. And the secret ingredients: Taco Bell fillings.
But all the ingredients are weird things like cow bile so that Link could re-live the day when he seriously wanted to fire Josh for that bile cheesecake >:P
This was great. Years ago on YT, Ramsay would invite friends or guests to "compete" with him on a single recipe. Patrons in the restaurant would judge. Well, there was a woman whose name I forget, but she would often win!!! She didn't mince words. She once told Gorden, "No one wants all that crap you put into a recipe." LOL ... Well those videos have been scrubbed. He once snubbed her about her age and she picked up dishes to throw at him!!! Wish I could remember her name. Good for you, Josh! Gordon is like Brit soldiers in Revolutionary War who were sitting ducks wearing bright red uniforms. They refused reality. They lost the war.
Dude the mans added “homemade kimchi” (btw I don’t trust it at all because out of all the kimchi I’ve made before none were that poop brown) and decides to put it with the most Italian cheese ever.
I am a huge Ramsay fan, and he very obviously is one of the best modern chefs in the world. But you're not wrong Josh. I am shocked that he went ahead with uploading that video. It's insanity.
That sizzle sounds like water drops from the tap Also try this; Get some nice white bread (brioche if you’re feeling fancy). Your butter, make sure it’s left out to get to room temperature. Cheeses; Colby Jack, Muenster, American and white cheddar (freshly grated and optional). Take Josh’s technique of toasting both sides to help the cheese melt. Of course, cook until nicely melted together.
Simple late night munchies food is the Achilles' heel of any Michelin-starred chef. They should just stick to their lane and not try to make a food that they would never make for their clientele.
Honestly I think most of us could make a better grilled cheese than that. And thus could call Gordon Ramsay out. That thing was an epic failiure. But Josh just got there first.
this is exactly what he was talking about when he said y'all put him on a god type level, Jordan's sammich was ass anybody can call him out on that lol
Yea if you're really want to incorporate those cheeses you should shred them finely and add it with a meltier cheese so that you get the stronger cheese flavours but still some stretchy gooey cheese too !
@@jkopppo223 same for home made Mac and cheese. Mix cheddar with American cheese, the cheddar gives an excellent flavor but the American cheese has the chemicals that give the cheese it’s melted form instead of that weird burn/sortof melty, then add milk and butter to get the sauce base

I love Gordon, but cooking a grilled cheese on cast iron over an open flame is the most pretentious thing I’ve ever seen
The only time to do that is camping. No problems in cooking with cast iron stuff, but for something like a grilled cheese? Not worth the effort to build a fire.

@@josphethegofer9999 it was the wrong choice here tho
