have you thought about dremmeling part of the chain guard off because it is such a pain to remove and clean the chain? I have contemplated re-attaching it (the dremmeled bit) with bolts that can be easily removed so I can clean a good 2/3rds of the chain in one go without needing a rear-stand.
I just work around it. I am not fussy about getting the chain perfect each time. I ride every day, so getting the worst off and re-lubing matters more. I also suspect it would rattle/flex if I cut off enough.
I assume it's because they have no profit from making it easier. Whether we spend more time doing it, or we pay a shop more, it's no skin off their nose. But, I know that kind of thing is something I will be looking at on future bikes. I wasn't unaware on this one, but it was something I considered. My thinking was that once I am taking the tank off I'd have a whole list of things to do at once, even if they weren't quite due yet.

Why must honda make it difficult especially on the part to change the spark plug😢
