I'm glad they changed it, that pun is painful.
I prefer the deskmini A300. It's been available for 1,5 years, is only slightly larger but orders of magnitude easier to service. It's socketed, accepts aftermarket CPU coolers and with the latest bios that asrock released (and then pulled back in order to not hurt their X300 sales) it even supports current renoir APUs. I run a 4750G 8core in there at the moment with no cooling issues

Oh yeah I definitely """rip""" *my* _blurays_ to my Plex server for sure
Falxie_ Plex is a weird test anyway. My home plex server runs off of a 2012 13” MacBook Pro and it’s fine, even when I’m not home and stream to work on my iPad.
Also they focused on the CPU for the transcoding. Which begs asking if they were using the integrated GPU as well or not.
They are very restrictive when it comes to trying to change settings in the BIOS. You have to gab them to death to get what you want. Still waiting on a flash update to enable change to the ram speeds. It's locked at 2400Mhz on both the DMAF5 and the UM700 even if you upgrade the ram it's locked.
streaming 4K on his phone, while im here "yeah 360p looks good enough"
Its ez to stream 4k
yeah i mean 4k is kinda easy today tbh.
Remember that it's much better quality 4K than normal 4K streaming, so it can actually be pretty difficult, blu-ray is so much higher quality (bitrate) than any online streaming
That was more like "i dont see the point on such a small display" than "how is that possible"
@@61f757r34m yeah 4k for phone is more likely stupid, but people use plex for 1080p and 4k for in home server, so the test is pretty much real life scenario.
edit: 4k tv is cheap as hell these days

Mobile always runs hotter than desktop, and the chips are designed with that in mind. Linus is just used to desktop and thus 80C+ is offensive to him.
@@RayneAngelus yeah that's true
My laptop run 50 60c idle and 85plusc gaming and stresstest 89c
If you contact Minisforum they'll provide you with a BIOS flash up to enable change to the TDP and ram speed. 35W TDP and two 3600Mhz dual rank sticks will get the max out of this unit. It's currently stuck at only 25W TDP and only 2400MHz ram speed. The Vega 10 benefits the most from 35W TDP and 3600MHz of ram. *For the UM700 model if you have a review unit*
