      Bishop Krout definitely can recommend it if you’re not looking to be way too loud. As soon as it’s in sports mode however, it’s ridiculous. Way loud in sports mode with all the cracks, pops & bangs. When I get the car running right I will definitely get sound clips!

      @E36tyler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Believe what you would like, muffler has absolutely nothing to do with emissions. Cats are another story. A shop will do it for $200 or so, if for whatever reason you don’t pass smog get it reversed if the muffler is the “issue”.

    I’m considering on getting a 2008 with 60k miles for 10k. I’m not sure though because I’ve heard it has a lot of issues with reliability and parts are pricey. Would you recommend getting one?

    • @dominictrejo1306
      @dominictrejo1306 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 60k miles they might of not changed out a few things.
      See if they have any records of the high pressure fuel pump being changed and if the Fuel injectors have been updated to the latest ones. If not, right off the bat those will be the two most expensive parts you’ll have to replace.

    • @coltonwilensky
      @coltonwilensky 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As someone with a 157k mile 2007 335i, I would not recommend buying one with that many miles, BMWs are known to start breaking down after 100k and thus is true with mine. This year I have easily spent over 1000$ in repairs. 2007s are very prone to problems being that they are one of the first generations of the car. If you have the money and skill to fix the car yourself, or the car is maintenanced before you buy it, then by all means buy one, they are great fun! However, like I said, expect it to start breaking in the not so distant future, especially being 17 (which I am aswell) with a car this powerful and fun.

    • @Xtremecarfan10188
      @Xtremecarfan10188 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The N54 platform and even the transmission on these cars are very reliable. Its everything else you must be cautious of. Every car with higher mileage will have some issue. Unfortunately, 335i have issues that cause major breakdowns. From Fuel to Spark, from Water Pumps to Valve Gaskets. Its recommended to do the work yourself or if you have a nice Indie shop to do the work nearby. Otherwise, get ready for big big money. My CLK55 AMG, I have only put around $1,500 in maintenance last 3 years. Mercedes are more reliable. BMW is more fun :)

    Do you have any errors after removing the muffler? I mean, for example, a check engine.

    • @E36tyler
      @E36tyler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      kYRA. No CEL, it’s just the muffler you should have no hard CEL code. Only thing that would trigger a CEL would be downpipes exhaust wise.

    • @coltonwilensky
      @coltonwilensky 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The only thing I would recommend is to make sure that the vacuum line that normally connects to the muffler is plugged, that way you dont use more air than needed and waste gas because the computer thinks you need richer mixture of fuel.

  • @joshuaperez3506
    @joshuaperez3506 3 ปีที่แล้ว
