This goes to show that you don’t have to have a Doomsday look exactly like his comic version to make him feel like Doomsday.
This version is legit scary and I feel like it could be the thing that kills Superman.
I love how their version of Doomsday, it takes a good number of things from the comics while still doing its own twist.
Honestly I would even go so far to say that this doomsday would be stronger than original comic doomsday, only because its bizzaro.

With the limited resources, these guys have done a great job with the CGI battle scenes. Also, this is a perfect ending for a season finale. That final shot is brilliant.

The way Doomsday fights in this scene is great, yes he isn't exactly the classic doomsday in look or origin but damn he fights like how I imagine him. Pure savage brutality.
I think the fact that he's actually bizarro makes it even more terrifying because nothing that could stop regular doomsday is going to stop this version, and he's a broken mirror of Superman even gas the S on his chest
Reminded me alot of how they depict all Hulk and Wolverine fights in the comics. Hulk can get as mad as he wants, WOlvie will just keep coming back. Just like this fight. The more Bizaro dies, turns him into this (Ala Hulk getting angrier makes him stronger), Supes just keeps coming back.
No real thoughts. It’s all aggression. All about the fight. A killing machine. A mindless beast. It’s only instinct to destroy anything in its path.
This show just proves that, when you have a Great story and passion leading everything, you don't need a huge budget for the CGI. It's passable.
Well done. And can we please start throwing some respect on Tyler name.
Seriously. I feel like DC/CW does a truly horrendous job of promoting this show -- most people don't even know it exists! After seeing his appearances in Supergirl, I honestly had low hopes for Tyler, and he's totally blown me away with his performance week in and week out. IMO, he's executing at the highest level any actor could hope for in a role like that and needs his flowers! I'm not here to slam Henry Cavill - mainly bc I think he had very weak writing to work with and I'm sure could have been outstanding with better material - but Tyler really has been the best modern Clark Kent / Superman I've seen. His acting is so natural while portraying Superman and Clark Kent differently. Whether his performance in the season 3 finale or season 2 finale, it's just epic stuff.
Deadass DC needs to advertise their tv shows more and DC fans need to take a dip in DCTV pool
Yeah, people are sleeping on Tyler and this show. I remember watching the episode where he’s having nightmare’s and flying through the city trying to save Lois and thinking “Man, the CG is amazing on this show and better than a lot of movies” and scratching my head as to how they didn’t F this up like most of the other CW shows. And the moment where Clark is going to confront Candice’s father and Lois says “This isn’t a job for Superman” and he says “HE isn’t going” I was just in awe of the writing performances and the entire show. In my opinion this is the most fully developed Superman/Clark Kent there’s ever been and Tyler is MURDERING IT!

Dope scene and I may watch the show based on this, but it highlights why I never really liked Superman as much as other comic characters. He's a terrible fighter. Takes punches and throws punches. He's one of the fastest characters and refuses to move out of the way of any shots, and that's in every version of him.

For real, whenever Superman and Doomsday fight the audience should get a feeling of "No hope" which BvS failed to accomplish they did it great here.
Tyler Hoechlin grew on me a lot man. I didn't care for him much before but I have to admit, he really is Superman. He's got it right; the ability to be this all business superhero but when the time warrants, he can be Clark for those that just need someone to care

The only thing about this that felt off was his son not getting involved. A son not hearing his father breath should have drove him almost mad. I wanted him to go full superboy and show what he can really do, save his father.

I never watched ANY of these CW DC shows, but after seeing this clip, I’m impressed on the CGI. I thought I was watching a film at first not gon lie. Plus that soundgarden track is my one of my favorite rock songs, so that was even more of a plus. Good job to the creators of THIS show 👍🏿‼️

I love how the fight went to space into the moon!! That’s what was lacking in the Superman live action since Superman 4 and this show finally brought us a new Superman space fight and on a location at least everyone is familiar with (moon)

A lot of them are located in some planet place in space we’re not familiar with, but when they characters go about, it feels like they’re just walking somewhere on earth. To be fair, Superman 4 was the last superhero movie where the characters do something significant in a place familiar to most people, which is what Superman needs to do more often since he can literally breathe and fly into space, similar to Goku.

Round 2 was intense from Doomsday getting back into the fight, giving Superman a good pummeling, and flying him into space. Round 2 clearly goes to Doomsday, and while there is a round 3, it's mainly because of Superman absorbing some sunlight in space and remembering what he is fighting for. Nice of round 3 to take place on the moon with no casualties, but unfortunate that Superman has to fight Doomsday alone and for the season to end on a cliffhanger. Can't wait for season 4. Lex Luthor is wrong about Superman as usual. Superman is a hero.

I think in Round 2, Superman is still on Earth, he has to keep his power to do less harm as possible. While round 3 on The Moon, he can fight without thinking about the damage

They really done a great job on this TV series and this reincarnation of Doomsday I didn't see this coming. Bizarro becomes Doomsday that was genius, fight scene awesome, taking the battle to the moon Wow. I can really see them ending the TV series after next season because they have checked every box on a telling a good Superman story.

@@micahfranklin4560 Season 4 will almost certinaly be the last. CW has like 2 or 3 shows remaining, plus the reduced episode count down to 10, plus the reduced budget, and amost every cast member apart from the 4 Kents and Luthor not returning.
And the biggest indicator of them all, a fifth season would release in 2025, directly competing against Superman: Legacy and Gunn's new plan for the DCU.
Its a shame, because Superman and Lois is an excellent show, probably the best DC show the CW have ever done, but 4 seasons and 53 episodes is a damn good run in today's TV climate.

Can we acknowledge that the use of Soundgardens "Blow Up The Outside World" is a boss move for this epic fight, and on a television shows budget(That isn't on HBO, NETFLIX, or DisneyPlus, and whatnot)... Whatever the price tag was to secure the rights to this song to perfectly encapsulate the intensity of their season finale, was worth every penny! Bravo👏...
And the best version of Doomsday I have seen portrayed outside the comic yet. Safe to say this version surpasses what we got in the Snyderverse(and He is an epic director).
Bar has been set high now... safe to say there will be many returning fans as well as new fans drawn back to Superman and Lois thru this finale, and eager to see where they go from here!

Wonder how season 4 will open
will it pick up where we left off or could we see something else
maybe the first episode focus on the day of a funeral, Clark is nowhere to be seen, maybe cut back to the fight a few times. Reveal it's actually Sam's funeral at the end. Then show the end of the fight with Doomsday, spilling back into smallille, maybe recreate a few panels from Death of Superman but don't end it the way it did in the comic. Have Clark manage to get Doomsday out of the city again, but has not been seen since the two disapeared.
Then you can reveal his whereabouts at the end of episode 2, after an episode of jordan trying to fill clark's shoes, maybe clark is badly injured and recoving. Then bring him back in episode 3 fully, reuniting with the family at the end of the episode.
seems like something like that would make doing death of superman worth it without wasting too much time with clark not around in what is probably the final season, without rendering doomsday a pointless adition
Yeah, I think episode 1 will start with a time jump of a few months after the season 3 finale, during which Superman and Doomsday have not been seen since they both went into the sky, leading the World to believe Superman is dead and the consequences that have taken place in Superman's absence, with Jordon stepping up to the World's new protector, secretly saving people and disappearing instantly afterwards having taken his final conversation with his Dad to heart. The first episode could then end with a shot of a comatose Superman in his Arctic Fortress slowly recovering, or perhaps floating around comatose in space as his body heals by absorbing the Sun's solar rays. Episode 2 would reveal what actually happened during their fight on the moon.

Also I love this show still but there are a lot of wholes in it that people don't point out that I can go on rants about. Such as people being mad at John Henry irons for killing someone who was about to kill him. Still love the show tho and I will be watching it next season.
@@surrotten3354 In my opinion. The way I see it, a lot of those things are how it would play out in real life. It would be a whole mess because a lot of people always want to justify themselves and point out the wrong others do without analyzing their own actions. The imperfection of humans. Invincible is an animated series, tho. I love that series, but we're talking about a live action superhero series. Teenagers usually exaggerate everything. I think on the John Irons issue is that they're supposed to be the good team who doesn't kill. They didn't even kill Morgan Edge but jailed him, I know I understood Irons on that and others are trying to leave death as a last resort on their part even if the adversaries kill from the go. It's been the same dilemma on many shows where the audience are okay with killing, after the enemies have done so much and even kill but the "good team" finds another way to punish their enemies. Kinda like the walking dead where they didn't kill Negan when they know damn well they should've. Lol.

flash was the only cw show I cared about until a few seasons ago, and honestly really impressed with this superman tv show. This TV budget is is better than a lot of the Hollywood joints , especially on the DC side. def like the spin with doomsday as a die hard comic nerd.

@HeroSenseiKid So is saying it was good... But based on technical aspects, it doesn't evoke anything but background noise for the scene. It doesn't match the editing flow, the emotion in the actions being played, and its way too elevated over all other audio layers of the scene. It's the equivalent of a bad fan edit just embedding a music track over footage

Superman kill, but only when he knows there is no other way, hell, he literally tried to kill Doomsday in this episode, throwing him on a giant spike and telling the people everything was alright since he had killed doomsday, who then revived stronger. The idea of Superman not killing is something passed around alot over the years, and it blatantly isn't true, he has always killed, he just doesn't kill unless there is no other way.

First 3 season told in a wonder way. From origin story of clark and Lois to the final scene of superman vs. Doomsday......CW made changes going into season 4. Hopefully they dont change the chemistry of this awesome show.
The acting in this series blows my mind everytime.
Excellent understanding of the Doomsday character while making interesting new changes, outlining Clark's love for humanity being one of his greatest motivators, and outstanding use of tricks and talent to pump that VFX budget for all it's worth? Damn, I might actually have to check this show out.

Lex Luther doesn’t look like the other Luther’s before him. This one had a beard. Looked like a completely different character and helped create this doomsday from a bizarro Superman. Never saw that before.

Out of all the adaptations of the Doomsday fight, this one's the most loyal to the sentiments the fight in the comic is supposed to convey. The absolute horror about Doomsday's invincibility, Clark's undying will to protect the world and his loved ones being the source of his strength are things that have never been adapted so well as it's done here. And they didn't need to add lame expository dialogue about it!

This looks fantastic for the budget I’m not gonna lie. Reminds me superhero movies from the 2000s, they were goofy but had a lot of heart and were cool with being campy.

@@mannyperry4170 Clark gave him a very clear look before fighting doomsday that was screaming " do NOT interfere". So far the only thing special about Jordan being human and kryptonian is that kryptonite doesn't affect him the same way. He hasn't really shown any amazing feats of strength or showcase of powers.

Superman and lois is the best Superman series of all time. That fight scene literally gave me chills. It was amazing for a series vfx. I love the show I'm a huge fan. Superman is my all time fave.

1: You know I get that it's pretty obvious that people would compare Superman with Captain America, but the dude's inability to just stay down makes him more like Ben Grimm
And 2: I really wish that the people behind this fight would have cashed in more on the super speed. Like I really liked how fast doomsday moved when he first grabbed Superman at the start of the whole fight
