- Woo, guess who's back? It has been a really long time since my last video! So this is to remind you guys that I still make videos! xD
Here is the vocal range video for Ariana's 3rd studio album "Dangerous Woman"! I've never got excited about Ariana's new album before, but this time is different! This new album is really good, so I have to make a vocal range for it!
Lower Register: C♯3, D3, E♭3, E3, F♯3, G3, G♯3, A3, B♭3, B3;
Mixed Register: G♯4, A4, B♭4, B4, C5, C♯5, D5, E♭5, E5, F5, F♯5, G5, G♯5, A5;
Falsetto Register: C5, C♯5, D5, E♭5, E5, F5, F♯5, G5, G♯5, A5, B♭5, B5, C6, C♯6, D6, E♭6, E6;
*I'm not very sure about the A5 belt. It was really faint and I'm not even sure if it was there.
Her biggest improvement is probably her lower register and mid-belts. It has got more weight/power comparing to her previous albums. Her enunciation in the upper area has got better as well. And she's bringing back those high falsetto notes, but she should start using her head voice.
Amazing album overall! My favorite songs are Dangerous Woman, Let Me Love You, Greedy, Be Alright.
Her low notes have gotten better. I love warmth in her voice.

I think she was focusing more on her falsettos and whistles. On My Everything she focused a lot on belting

Bro each of the songs on the album have their own hell of a range. The range might not not seem that big as a whole but each song is quite vocally demanding, all together it's probably her most vocally demanding album. The last thing she needs are those upper belts above G#5 to worry about😂😂😂 at least she's making her songs easier to sing so she doesn't have to lip like on the honeymoon tour
The A5 note in "Bad Decisions" is in falsetto, i've clearly hear it thanks to the stems of the song that has been leaked! btw your video is perfect, i love it and her high falsetto notes are pure heaven, it's like listening to an angel sing... *,*
it seems like belting those notes are so easy for her; as you can see it on her face and it was very effortless, i was wondering if she could belt C5 and above
Sis C5 is a low note for her.

Awesome video, Omg I had shivers listening to this album, totally worth all the hype and wait, she finally established her own sound and I love the mature concept of the album. This album musically defines the direction of pop music today in a positive way in my opinion. Next to Bey she is the most consistent pop artist rn, she can sing, write, dance and act the hell out.

Wow you're fast and your editing is top notch BTW did her tessitura become lower??? I'm not saying this because she hit a C#3 in this album I'm saying this because surprising for the first time ever her mid belts sound like actual mid-belts instead of a bunch of whispers. I mean the quality she put with the D5's in "Give it away" I could've sworn it came from a mezzo of course I'm not saying she's a mezzo now she's obviously still a soprano and an extremely high one but this is really surprising.

I notice that as well. In "Gave It Away and "Moonlight", her voice was really raspy, unlike usual. This is even more evident in her recent live performance! I think she's still a high soprano, but she's changing in her musical style, like adding rasp in order to make her voice sound more mature/sexy.

There's actually a D3 in bad decisions used around the chorus where she sings "I don't give a what love" and "Bonnie and Clyde" used as an octave unison so the full range of this album is D3-G#5-E6

I actually don't think the D3 and the C#3 is her and I don't hear any Eb3 in Greedy...but apart from that you made an amazing work with this video :)

There is a sustained F#5 with vibrato in the very beginning of Greedy(harmonized, the one some think it's a G/G#6 whistle) and at the end G#5 as well sustained with vibrato.

There's no whistle in the album...and other people say she hidden either a F#6 or G#6 in Focus and it ain't there. You can go check. I checked and she only did it once at a radio station or wherever she was. There was no whistle on her Dangerous Woman Tour

I think that she used auto tune at mix G#5 in "Greedy" i know tha she cans hit easly that note but, if you compare with G#5 mix in "Focus" or in any live of "Greedy" you'll se that sounds different that studio's version, that G#5 look like the chimpunks, not Ariana

To determine vocal type range isn't enough it depend on tessitura timbre weight volume output passagio range is the last factor
how do you tell the notes so accurately? do you have something to help or do you just tell them by ears? if so how? 😯
