Wish the celebrities flying around in private jets producing millions of tons of emissions in 1 month had to abide by the same standards as us car and bike enthusiasts.
exactly. Just those rich fks alone produce 50% of carbon emissions on the planet, yet they restrict only us normies. Just taylor swift alone took an insane amount of 170 + private jet flights last year, which equals 120 tonnes of CO2 emissions, 83 times that of the average american.
Let’s do our part because we’re better than them. My bike gets 50mpg and doesn’t cause traffic or take up lots of space when parking. Same people that drive g-wagons and large suv. Smh
For real!!! And the private jets are nothing in comparison to the cargo and cruise ships around the world. 1 single cruise ship produces more carbon dioxide than 1 million cars, or an entire small city. If we would put regulations in the right places, we could make a difference :/ instead it’s us car and bike enthusiasts that take the hit.
@@pault6054 you missed the point. 1 flight on a private jet is more emissions than your bike in its entire lifetime. You'd have to be dumb to think this stuff was ever about emissions. It was always about control
I really dont know why they bother anymore, like 70-80% of riders in EU will get rid of the stock exaust anyway... For my GSR 750 i did that and they can give me tickets and take my number plates as many time as they want, i will still put the SC project back on it every single time.
Don't complain let it stay like that, because there's no chance the EU are going to reverse the emissions laws but there's a chance they may outlaw race pipes (or at least better enforce it). So be happy there's at least one way to get around it.
yeah, we usually do tech inspection with all stock, then ride with open exhausts, swap back to stock for next tech inspection.... if you avoid major city riding, going to meets etc. you usually get away with it no problem... at least in my country
The sad part is that all these regulations do not apply for airplanes, boat diesel, and space rockets. Have you seen the amount of smoke a rocket produces? It's like all the cars and motorcycles combined together in 10 years.
I'm not buying new, I buy used low milage bikes but because they aren't making new ones people are holding onto their old ones and the prices of inline 4s are climbing
Dont know about yamaha but i just saw a 2 stroke ktm 6 days at my local dealear at russia and it had plates, turn signals and mirrors jsut like ktm 500 exc. Turns out it has street compliant exhaust and ecu flash that matches all emissions. But when you buy it dealer "sorts" it out themselves and you get your beast ready for rocky mounains.
I can do better milage on my 2022 CBR1000RR than any SUV. So why are SUVs everywhere? I can get 42mph per gallon going 80mph. SUVs get 15-20 mags if you’re lucky. I think it has to do with groups of people hating on motorcycles….
If you happen to see this(or anyone with any knowledge of this issue), does your RSV4 burn oil? The service guy at the dealership told me that it's normal for these bikes to burn around .7L per 600-1000 miles.
Seems like a common issue with the latest rsv4's. 2 riders I know with 2022-2023 rsv4's have crazy oil usage. 0.5 to 0.7L per 1000km.. it's insane. If it's over 1L per 1000km you can get a rebuild or a new engine if it's within warranty.
The RSV4 and Ducati V4 engines have shared crankshafts in each. The issue isn’t the internals, and the 2025 Panigale V4 is Euro 5+ compliant. There’s tuning and mechanical engineering to get more efficient burns to meet the pollution levels acceptable.
Inline4's sportsbikes are "soon" to become as valuable and expensive as their 2-stroke counterparts are nowaydays. It's a shame... I'll keep riding my '03 600RR for as long as I can though.
Here in India🇮🇳, while every other Japanese manufacturer has wrapped up their inline 4 business, Kawasaki is selling their ZX6R and ZX10Rs like hot cakes. Kawasaki is locally assembling them here and keeping the MSRP unbelievably down. We also follow the Euro 5 stage 2 but Kawi is showing no signs of slowing down.
We should have the option to buy CO2 offsets to allow high performance engine platforms to remain in production the same way they offer them to governments companies and individuals in general. I assume this is already factored into registration fees to some extent in some areas.
What about the ZX6R, which was just updated for euro5 and the CBR650R which was also just updated. Why didn't Yamaha update the R6 I'm the same way. Very upsetting
As bikes do pollute WAAAAAAAY less then cars, vans, trucks etc. So no I don't think that will affect them that much. Here in Europe, The Netherlands, the most complaints/reactions you might get is when a bike or car is making to much noise dB wise with an exhaust. Some countries more then others and then again some police officers more then others. They understand it's a hobby and you enjoy it but if you can do it without being a nuisance to anyone else all the time they'll be fine with it and let you go with it. Only way emissions matter is with the yearly MOT. So you either swap back your catalytic converter each year if you run a full exhaust on a car, or keep it on there all the time to pass emissions. Motorcycles don't need yearly MOT. Nor an emissions check since they pollute way less then cars etc. Yet they do have to be technically safe to be on the road, which obviously is that way with any other vehicle.
I thought it was weird how the V4s are more easily able to pass emmissions than I4s. My Euro5 RSV4's catalytic converter and stock exhaust was not as big and obnoxious as the I4s. If you look at the current GSXR1000s their exhausts are massive! Hopefully D4A can answer that in a future video.
We need more YT videos showing how to decat, remove EVAP systems and air injection systems on motorcycles. Because surely the emissions regulators never watch YT. The regulators would never think to add more laws requiring OBD detection of removed equipment or to require more foolproof inspection schemes to find bikes with tampering.
The Euro standards are fine. Look at the modest Suzuki SV650. The acceleration and the fuel economy is better than the original Kawasaki Z1 900 super bike. The top speed is lower but I don't need to go 230 km/h - not even when riding in Germany. My first motorcycle was a 1972 two stroke three cylinder air cooled Suzuki GT550. It was amazing but the fuel economy of the SV650 is 60 % better.
US EPA noise emissions are ruining sportbikes. This is why the European ZX4RR makes so much more power than its US counterpart. There are several Euro 5 motorcycles that make more power than their US counterparts, because our bikes get different tunes to mute the power and lower noise at higher revs. European bikes are allowed to be louder.
I think motorcycles should just do what cars do and have multiple versions. There can be a euro version and there can be a US version. sorta like how we have california specific cars. lolol. California. really shouldn't even be a state anymore at this point it is so unamerican.
I live in Europe. Got a tuned decat Honda Blackbird and a Kawasaki h2 sxse soon to be fitted with a titanium zx10r header, linkpipe and open akra exhaust ofcourse sprint airfilter and a nice flash. All i do is keeping the original exhaust for both. When i get caught i get a certain amount of time to reinstall the original parts and prove i brought it back to the original state. I still get a fine, but who gives a shit. I had fun for a few years and it's more than worth it. After a few months i reinstall the fun bits and we start all over again😂

@@mitracangalheiro The difference in octane ratings between Europe and the US is largely due to how the octane is measured. In Europe, the octane rating is based on RON (Research Octane Number), which measures how the fuel performs under light-load and low-speed conditions. This is why you commonly see 95 RON or 98 RON in European fuels. In the US, the octane rating displayed at the pump is an average of RON and MON (Motor Octane Number), often written as (R+M)/2. MON measures fuel performance under more severe conditions, like high-load and high-speed operations. Since MON values are typically lower than RON, the average (R+M)/2 results in a lower octane number on US pumps. Does the Euro Duc have higher compression than its N. American counterpart? If not, then the fuel is not the answer.

Limiting the amount of power a beginner is aloud to ride is good cause if some beginner get on a 1000 cc bike as theirs first bike. If they don’t be careful there gonna end up dead
They’re making engines bigger and detuning them from the factory. If you’re going to tune your bike (pretty standard mod these days) you’re treated to *even more* power!!
Euro 5 is killing bike enthusiast asf, worst part a bike even a top of the line bike like r1, zx10r, cbr1000rrr, s1krr, v4s etc wont ever throw same amount of emissions than any 2024 car yet we still damaged.

The ones with the lower fairingsm… so anything but what I ride…. Can’t lease manufacturers stop with the stupid parallel twins. Good Lord I swear they the most boring engine configuration and they’re in EVERYTHING. Even tho I’m a Harley brok n bc
You tried to sneak in complaining about winglets. Look take the spoiler off your helmet an do highway speeds. You'll feel it! An this is only a 2% increase in down force. Don't know what speed that percentage comes from
thanks to Euro"*" emissons rules i prefer the good old carbs and motorcycles until 2010.... much easy to get the power, no problem with emissons specs, and mostly no ABS 😁
Let’s get real man. It’s not emissions that are killing superbikes. It’s the market. If people will buy them, companies will make them, no matter what. The price will adjust accordingly to the tech yeah, but also to the production volume. But the old gen are getting too old to ride them. And the new gen are not interested in them. That’s the real reason.
The sales dictated the production, not the euro bs. All they had to do was add a Catalytic converter & de tune the engine to pass emissions. Facts. Don’t get it twisted.
Are you trying to change your name from Adobo Moto to Adobo talks or what? Like where are the damn moto vlogs.... its cool to see some updates about the motorcycle community but god damn you really arent riding anymore.
Neh. Maybe for Japanese bikes that are now doing the bare minimum. But for the European bike makers, their motorcycles have never been more powerful and/or lighter. Don’t blame the emissions standards. Blame the manufacturers for choosing not to make better bikes. Restrictions breed innovation. Sink or swim.
@@adobomoto You know as well as I do that prior to the RSV4 and S1000RR releasing in the late 2000s/early 2010s, that Japanese sport bikes destroyed what little European sportbikes were available in comparison tests here in the US. Euro bikes looked good, but Japanese bikes were not only faster and better sorted, but also a lot cheaper back in the day. Why buy an 848 when you can buy an R6 for way less money right? Not sure why the Japanese decided to lose their way, but European manufacturers have worked around restrictive emissions mandates to give us the best bikes money can buy today. The Japanese manufacturers have been complacent in the last decade. However, I do plan to buy the new R9, because I like what it offers for the money.
Excellent video; love this sort of content. The demise of some of our favorite bikes is caused by several factors you already touched upon. People love the idea of a screaming 600cc in the forums, but their wallets decide on an MT-07. People seem really sad about sport bikes dying, but then go buy ADVs because they want comfort. Also, most people I know never bought and never will buy a new motorcycle - people buy used. That's all great, but someone, somehow eventually needs to buy new machines for the manufacturers to make money. In my opinion, the crisis in motorcycling right now is not so much due to Emissions Regulations. Yes, that doesn't help in the slightest, and some models are axed because of that. But again, if the R6 would sell like hot cakes, Yamaha would find a way - it would be financially viable and profitable for them to do so. The main issues are the cost of living; no one can afford anything these days. On top of that, new generations simply do no care about motorcycles, period. We're not replacing the riders we're losing, year after year; it's as simple as that. In a world where people can't affort shit, they're not going to spend a ton of money in something they have no interest. My advise? IOLO, get the bike you want and can afford, ride the wheels of that thing, and enjoy your motorcycle life, cause it ain't for granted.
Can you/break, complete a sentence/break/ before you glitch the/video/and prevent/a seizure before you.. /break glitch to get to a glitch/break seizure?? And maybe get TO THE POINT.. The gimmick is up on editing.. Stop..
Funny cause all you influencers always talk about i4 engines dying off due to popularity.. tons of people still LOVE the inline 4. The fact is it’s being KILLED off.. Y’all try to hype parallel twins and 3cyl like it’s a better replacement but it’s simply not and you all know it
5:01 Do you have any scientific evidence to support your claim? That doesn't even make sense. The bike is burning just as much fuel from the same amount of cylinders.
Based on a number of manufacturers moving away from the inline 4 to inline 3’s, twins, and the v4 never really changing much, I theorize that the v4 and latter produce less pollutants. Pollutants can be chemical or noise - in this theory, I believe they pass the sound test.
ZX4RR, ZX6R, ZX10R, Z900, Ninja 1100, CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, CB1000 Hornet, S1000RR, M1000RR all E5+. They don't sell R1's R6's and GSXR's because they don't sell anymore. E5 and E5+ emissions are the same, closed loop measuring does not affect high rpm's.
The people who run the EU are so annoying. They are like we all need to do something for the planet, well ok, but not everyone earns 300k euro’s like you all sitting there making rules we all have to obey. Whats happening right now aswell is companies like painters who cant go into certain parts of cities because they dont have the money to buy new electric vans.
I mostly agree with the Euro 5 because it does make my bike astoundingly quiet, and despite being a cheaper bike with very low insurance, it does make more power and hustles around a racetrack faster than the original Honda CBR900RR. The motorcycle community is a noise problem, and it is riders versus the world.
Politics to decrease sells of Japanese bike in Europe 🤣🤣🤣🤣.. Bcz if you buy a worthless Superligedera v4 with 100k you can have 5 Japanese little bike with this price... With same or better performance and reliability from Japanese bike... This pissed European unreliable bike industry... All is politics...

They’re making engines bigger and detuning them from the factory. If you’re going to tune your bike (pretty standard mod these days) you’re treated to *even more* power!!
The answer is yes.
I don't even need to watch the video to say, absolutely yes. Since when does Europe dictate what America does.
The amount of smog that 15 cargo ships produce is the same as all the cars and trucks in the world. And theres thousands of cargo ships worldwide
Euro 5 is killing bike enthusiast asf, worst part a bike even a top of the line bike like r1, zx10r, cbr1000rrr, s1krr, v4s etc wont ever throw same amount of emissions than any 2024 car yet we still damaged.
I’m a Harley bro so this doesn’t apply to me as much but sounded like an interesting vid so watched it.
When it comes to anything besides 45* air cooled v twins (technically there is oil cooling around the exhaust ports and the new ones have liquid cooling on the heads .. all the gen2 M8 motors have that now not just the ultra limited electraglides and road glides ..
The ones with the lower fairingsm… so anything but what I ride…. Can’t lease manufacturers stop with the stupid parallel twins. Good Lord I swear they the most boring engine configuration and they’re in EVERYTHING.
Even tho I’m a Harley brok n bc
yes
You tried to sneak in complaining about winglets. Look take the spoiler off your helmet an do highway speeds. You'll feel it! An this is only a 2% increase in down force. Don't know what speed that percentage comes from
No you actually said it good the first time is kilometer not klometer 1:42
thanks to Euro"*" emissons rules i prefer the good old carbs and motorcycles until 2010.... much easy to get the power, no problem with emissons specs, and mostly no ABS 😁
Did you watch til the end? 😂
The sales dictated the production, not the euro bs.
All they had to do was add a Catalytic converter & de tune the engine to pass emissions.
Facts.
Don’t get it twisted.
5:11 2 crankshafts? lol.
Yee none of our bikes make a dif so long as china, india and latin america keep pollution going all on their own
Why do borders make a difference? We should be wise enough to count emissions per capita.
Do you use 30W50 engine oil in your hair? Think of the environment - especially your helmet!
Living in the wrong Country (Germany) to strict regulations, can't not change the full exhaust system in titanium, I'm f*kt😂
Are you trying to change your name from Adobo Moto to Adobo talks or what? Like where are the damn moto vlogs.... its cool to see some updates about the motorcycle community but god damn you really arent riding anymore.
Front bigger intake looks so ugly like a open mouth
Do you hate Hayabusa?
No
Euorpean bikes historically have been faster from the factory than US bikes. We have to unlock our ecu’s through a flash.
However, I do plan to buy the new R9, because I like what it offers for the money.
america has freedom, or at least it tries to.
More videos like these bro!!
From europe. Still straightpipe my bikes. Just dont get caught
Stop..
Yeah, makes my brain hurt.. No need for the cut edit mid statement..
It’s always, “California does their own thing”. Are they just their own country😂
California’s economy is the 5th largest in the world.
Inline 4s are cringe so who cares. Boring ass motors that dont do anything until 14k.
stupid politics, and as riders we suffer 😢
this world is not infinite euro 5 is for this world we have to realize that
Oh well, global warming is a bigger problem than allowing 200hp super bikes on the street.
Global warming happens bcs of vehicles(bikes included)
You're definitely an Electric guy, aren't you?
hell yeah im early

😴
Love how you tried to make a video on this topic but then didn’t know so many so many facts about what you’re talking about.. ha 🤦♂️
Womp womp
Euro5 is uncool and gay
Every single idiot involved with Euro BS standards needs dealing with.
Adobo falling is is so sad to see🥲 subscribed for the riding and talking not just a 10 min yap sesh 😪
😂 you’re new here, this has been the pattern every winter for years, we switch to a lot of talking videos
