    Since Mazda and Ford parted company, they leaped ahead to the next level. They are quietly knocking spots off most competition, in terms of quality build, performance and sheer gorgeous good looks. I own a CX3 and it ticks all my boxes. These days with boxer engines and scary cvt auto boxes, Mazda retains sensible auto transmissions and naturally aspirated engines with next level Sky active technology which is next level.. And fuel consumption for this badass 2lt motor is great👍👍

    Semi Zonk for not mentioning the name of the color - Deep Crystal Blue Mica. There is a lighter blue available too - Eternal Blue Mica, which is really a nice color. Most dealers are deeply discounting remaining CX-3 models now that the CX-30 has hit the showrooms. The Kia Soul and Honda HR-V may be the most practical in this segment but the Mazda definitely has the sportiest (is that a word?) appearance.

    The best designed compact small SUV in my opinion the interior is also beautiful well built with excellent materials used. Hopefully Mazda will use the Mazda 3 platform to give a longer wheel base and a bit spacious back seat but I don't want them to change the exterior look I like the floating roof treatment. The new up coming Mazda CX-30 is also good but I would prefer this design. Gorgeous car.💕 🏎

    After test driving both 2019 mazda3 Awd and Cx-3 Awd , which in your opinion had better snap off the line acceleration without using sport mode . I personally felt the Mazda3 didn’t have as much torque although it has the 2.5 .

  • @stephenhendricks103
    @stephenhendricks103 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Sorry, Joe. Like most Mazdas the CX-3 offers attractive styling. But I simply don't understand the appeal of these mainstream "hatchbacks on stilts," especially when they offer so little actual UTILITY. With a maximum of 44.3 cubic feet, the CX-3 has less overall cargo space than a VW Golf (53.7 cubic ft). Want to use the cargo space behind the second row? The CX-3 provides a maximum of 12.4 cubic feet of cargo space versus the Golf's 17.4 cubic feet. Looking for the best gas mileage? The Golf is rated at 29-37 vs the Mazda's 29-34.

    • @RaitisRides
      @RaitisRides  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a very good point! I think the CX-30 will be interesting when it hits the streets!

    • @ztekz
      @ztekz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is a commuter car...cargo utility isn’t the priority for “commuter” cars. If you need more utility then get an SUV or minivan. I get it some in its class will have more space but most people overbuy (getting more than what they actually need)! People who own these types of cars don’t drive everyday with loaded cargo...

    • @stephenhendricks103
      @stephenhendricks103 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ztekz It's not a case of "driv(ing) everday loaded with cargo." It's a question of versatility. There are hatchbacks with better driving dynamics and hatchbacks with more room. What you get in the CX-3 is a vehicle that claims to be a sport UTILITY vehicle but doesn't live up to the label.

    • @ztekz
      @ztekz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stephen Hendricks, depends on how you look at it. Like I said it’s simply a commuter car...yes maybe Mazda advertised it as a sub compact SUV when it’s really just a subcompact car with AWD. At end of the day, people can knock the car down but people still buy them. If you look at all the other competitors in its class the CX3 isn’t that far anyways (in terms of space, engine, capability, etc). Does it have the largest cargo capacity? No. Roomiest? No. It has its strengths but also weaknesses...the same could be said about the other competitors in its class. Just depends on your priorities and preferences.

    • @stephenhendricks103
      @stephenhendricks103 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ztekz I think we're saying much the same thing. As I said, the CX-3 is a "hatchback on stilts." Not the best hatchback and certainly not the best SUV in its class.The difference in our point of view is you put a positive spin on the CX-3 while I don't think it measures up.
