I love the cx3 and cx30. Leaning towards the cx30. Just saving up for that down payment. Don't know why I never looked at Mazda before now. Beautiful quality vehicles
13:20 The first little cubby is also a cup holder. You don't have to use the one under the armrest. You can see the little button to push so it can pop out just like the rear one.
I have a 2016 CX3 and I love this car. I've never gotten stuck in the Mojave Desert that I live near. I sleep in the back. My car is FAST. I passed those muscle cars all the time.
Want a CX-3? Get one soon. Dollars to doughnuts it won't be around much longer, at least in North America. The CX-30 is already outselling it 2 to 1 in the US. Considering that it's based on the Mazda2, a vehicle that isn't even offered in the US, Mazda has little incentive to continue exporting it to North America. As for the "mystery" of why Mazda's crossovers offer less cargo and passenger space than their competitors, it's no mystery. It results from the relatively long distance from the front bumper to the base of the windshield compared to the overall length of the vehicle. It's a design trick used by auto designers for about a hundred years in sports cars to suggest potency and performance but it imposes a significant penalty in terms of functionality. At least in the case of the CX-3 and Mazda's other compact and subcompact crossovers the penalty is considerably less than in the CX-9, a vehicle that's among the largest midsize SUV's on the market with the less overall cargo space than a Honda CR-V.
@@liddlebopeep You're correct. I suspect (without specific evidence) that the decision to retain the CX-3 in Canada may be the result of its relative popularity in Quebec where consumers find smaller vehicles such as those sold in Europe more popular. Still, in the first quarter of 2021 Mazda sold only about 1500 CX-3s in Canada compared to over 2500 CX-30s. I suspect that 2022 may well be the swan song for the CX-3 in Canada.
@@stephenhendricks103 Smaller cars tend to do better sales wise in Canada, so there may be a chance of a next generation CX3 if Mazda is also developing one for the Asian market. I'd much rather have a CX3 over a Chevy Trax or Ford Ecosport.
Better performance & steering feel with the Mazda & better reliability (consumer reports) & warranty with the Kona... Really comes down to personal preference. Both stellar picks! 👌
Did Mazda get rid of all the trim options on this vehicle due to lethargic sales in the USA? They only offer a base, budget trim model now. They should have went with 17" wheels on their one-trim-only offering.
I just bought one for around 20 grand ..awd ..every safety feature offered ..great pic up power ..plenty of room ..glad I got one ..
We had one as a rental, and it was a great car! I would go with this over an Ecosport.
How's the room for back seat passengers?
@Angela Speaking for 2017 CX-3, it sucks

I hope you enjoy the CX30.

I bought one two years ago and still love it.
What is your average mpg?
Great review. Honest, informative, and entertaining to watch.
Thanks! 😁

what was that dance you did when you opened the lift gate called?
No clue... Just being dumb lol 😆
Bang for the buck goes to the CX-3. Upscale features without upscale price.

Does the CX3 and CX30 have a 'start/stop' system? I hope not. If they do, are they easily disabled?

CX3 is discontinued for 2022 in U.S., but will continue to be sold in Canada.

Spare tire? Does this come with a spare tire?
So I'm in the market for a new car and I'm torn between this or a Hyundai kona. Is the extra 4 grand worth spending on a cx3?

@@goldpony Thank you for the input, great content! Keep up the work!
Better check recall notices on Kona AND ANY HYUNDAI (or KIA...made by same company).
