I have no idea how people read so many books a month! I personally binge a book and then I need a couple days of NO reading. I average 2.5 books a month and I’m super proud of that. I’m a part time working homeschooling mom of two so time is very limited 😊
🎃lies and Truths Duet by Rina Kent and Sing Sweet Nightingale by Rebecca Rennick were definitely my best reads of the month!! I’m so glad you loved cruel prince the next 2 are so good!!!!!
Glad it was a great reading month! I love seeing more traditional fae rep, though I don't think Cruel Prince is for me. I'm mostly soft for the cinnamon rolls. 😂Glad you loved it though! My favorite of the month was definitely A Sorceress Comes to Call, it was a new favorite from Kingfisher for me. 🎃
Whoo-hoo Monthly Wrap Up Time! 🥳 I'm 100% going to read Bonded By Thorns soon! 😃 I gave We Used to Live Here 5☆ and absolutely loved it! It was the best scary book I read in October. I completely blame YOU for my addiction to the Clown in a Cornfield series! 😂 I'm scared to read So Thirsty now...I loved Black Sheep so much. 😬 🎃
I am sooo eager to read Keri Lake's books, I feel like those will really be up my alley. And hearing you say that So Thirsty was a bit too boring and literary makes me feel like I might enjoy it a lot more so up the TBR it moves 🤣🤩
id very excited to hear your thoughts on keri lake, I think they are right up your alley, as there are a lot of small pockets of character work!!! so please please pick those up for me! I'd rec anathema first! hahah I love when me saying something I disliked works in favour of others
So glad you had a great reading month! I’m very happy you’re loving The Cruel Prince series. I need to know your thoughts on the sequel series so I hope you pick that up next!
I would love for you to do a video of book suggestions for a holiday gift list. People keep asking me what books I want but the options are overwhelming! 😂
@@beccaa7435 some good fantasy and Romantasy books in my opinion are: The Liars Crown by Abigail Owens (Has a little spice in chapter 48 but that’s it), The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent (3.5 or 4 out of 10 for spice), Heartless by Marissa Meyer (no spice), This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi (no spice), Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller (no spice), The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab (no spice), A Forgery of Roses by Jessica S. Olson (no spice), Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (no spice), Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer (no spice), House of Salt and Sorrow by Erin A Craig (no spice), and Powerless by Lauren Roberts (no spice) Let me know if any of these and plan to read them! I hope this helped! All of these I rated either 4 or 5 stars.
I just read the cruel prince (and binged the entire trilogy) and was surprised how much I liked it! I’ve been trying to distance myself from YA fantasy and romantasy (the hyped stuff just doesn’t always hit) but this scratched my brain in such a good way. 🎃
I love the ‘The Folk of the Air’ series from Holly Black and I like that you like them too! And guess what…? I just bought the special editions from Fairyloot 🤭🎃
🎃This was a great reading month for me, too! I read some sketchy (but entertaining) Halloween-centric dark romance along with my usual fare to keep it interesting. I might be a little scarred, but it's fine. I read The Cruel Prince a few years ago and gave it 4 stars, but didn't continue. I re-read it this year and bumped it to 5, then devoured the rest of the series. I just need to read the last book in the spinoff duology now! I really appreciated that FotA is plot-driven, but I do wish there was a _little_ more Jude and Cardan. I also started Beasts of the Briar after seeing the Fairyloot SE of Bonded by Thorns and it's absolutely one of my favorite series of the year.🎃
It's like I got all my 5 stars in January and February. The rest of the year has been an absolute battle. Best Book I read in October was Nuts and Bolts (nonfiction)
I don’t read scary books because I live alone and I’m a chicken. Ghost Camera was my first ever Darcy Coates book as well as my first ever scary book. I actually really enjoyed the first story and the others just left me feeling really unsettled. I’m going to try one of her ghosty books next October and see if I like it or not. It could possibly be my last book from her and If that’s the case I’ll stick with Heather Graham’s Krewe of Hunters collection. 😂🎃
If you don't want super spooky you should try the whispering dead by Darcy coates! It's more of a mystery suspense but still has her vibe. I think Darcy is great at unsettling but if you don't like that vibe I wouldn't suggest other then the whispering dead
It's so funny to me, that Immortal Dark is supposed to be a romantasy or ya, like I don't know if I'm too ace for it but I didn't even notice 😂 I read it without knowing anything and for me it was a great thrilling, really dark book with an interesting plotline and a really interesting take on vampires etc. (and I usually don't even like Dark Academia) but I really liked this book but I was somehow too dense to pick up on the romance (I know it was kinda there in the end but I thought she had basically chemistry with everyone she met and I wouldn't really have called it romantic, maybe just sexual but I really don't know xD) We'll see when the next one comes out if I'm still interested in continuing 😂
My favorite read of the month was The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent. It was a five stars for me! I can’t wait for the next one.

I think anyone should be proud of any reading. This is my job so I have more time to do it then others and it's really the only big brained thing I do
Same I read about 2-4 books a month. 😅 If I read more then that it's because I listened to audio books
Keri Lake's books get more and more enticing the more I listen to you talk about them😄
I hope you try them and like them
🎃lies and Truths Duet by Rina Kent and Sing Sweet Nightingale by Rebecca Rennick were definitely my best reads of the month!! I’m so glad you loved cruel prince the next 2 are so good!!!!!
Malice and Daylight were defitniely the best of the month. But I LOVED my binge of Bound to the Fae🎃
Glad it was a great reading month!

I had a pretty great reading month as well! Love watching your monthly wrap ups! I hope you find great reads in November! 🎃
Thank you! You too!
Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver was my favourite of the month, followed by my reread of The Kiss of Deception
Omg I loved wild Eyes!!! .. I have just hinged all her books this month
Whoo-hoo Monthly Wrap Up Time! 🥳
I'm 100% going to read Bonded By Thorns soon! 😃
I gave We Used to Live Here 5☆ and absolutely loved it! It was the best scary book I read in October.

@@CoverswithCassidy I am on it, anathema will be read before the end of the year (hopefully) hahah
Glad you had such a great reading month! 🎃
What a great reading month! My absolute favourite read of October was A Dowry of Blood.
I also read cruel prince in october :) I loved it. I havent continues yet but i'm definitely planning to

Yes I would love this idea. Also if you need help coming up with good books to request just let me know what genres you like and I can help.
@juliacash8135 Thank you! I definitely got into fantasy/romantasy a lot more this year. If you have any recs I'd love to hear them 😊

I have a whole playlist of recommendation videos I've created, I would suggest just watching those for ideas!

Here for the great reading month!! and very glad you finally got on the Cruel Prince train!
My favorite book of October was Glow of the Everflame! 🎃
I love the ‘The Folk of the Air’ series from Holly Black and I like that you like them too! And guess what…? I just bought the special editions from Fairyloot 🤭🎃
yay! I got my hands on them too im so excited

I do find that happens to me like they all happen in one month
I enjoyed The Church of Frendo and I’ve just started So Thirsty

@ Thank you so much for the recommendation, I’ll put that one down to read in October 2025 😀

I mean I mostly agree with you which is why I disliked it. The romance was non existent when it was supposed to be there
Man I really need to get to the cruel prince now lol
