I'm think about doing a scavenger hunt for the next episode in this series! so leave me a prompt for a book that connects to the previous book! (examples: a book longer then the last, a book that starts with the letter the last one ends with)
I've been loving this series! Here's a prompt: A book whose cover is a complementary color to the cover of the previous one (ex: if the previous book is yellow then you have to read a blue one, if it's green then you have to read a red one and so on)
Oh trust me, you didn’t lose anything by DNFing the curse of sins… we buddy read it with Maria, and by the end it was just us ranting about everything 😅 you are totally right that Will is the only person that carries this series and I decided to not read book 3 when it comes out even if it is the end of the series
this makes me feel better!!!!! I told Maria that I was originally pretty sure it was a duoology and it's now a trilogy so I wonder if that has something to do with it!
@ I could definitely see this as originally a Duology… whatever the case, the pacing had serious issues, but I honestly do not think it could have been saved by being two books, you are correct that Will is the only driving force of the series, and it is not enough!
I 100% agree with your take on Two Twisted Crowns. I loved One Dark Window and almost instantly went into TTC with the expectation of loving that one too. However, I felt a little crazy when everyone said that TTC was better than ODW because of the Elm/Ione relationship because that did nothing for me, and found myself skimming along to quicken the pace back to the Nightmare narrative. It took me forever to get through because an Elm chapter would come and it just couldn't hold my attention. I still loved TTC, but it feels like I loved it in spite of the Elm romance. The story centered around Elspeth and The Shepard King carried the story so impactful-ly for me that I would still rate it one of my favorite books of all time.
The joy I feel that you’re loving the folk of the air trilogy. The Queen of Nothing was my personal favourite. Make sure to read the ‘letters’ if your copy doesn’t have them (after you finish the third book). I found them online and read them after finishing the trilogy and I died a little inside. They’re iconic 🌵🌵
nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone fall head over heels in love with a new series, I am sooo glad folk of the air is everything you were hoping it would be 🤩 also I feel you on wayward children, and that last one definitely deserved more dinosaurs hahahah loving this video series, you are getting me so motivated to tackle my own ridiculous ongoing series (79 help) list as well
FYI you can make any shelf the type that to-read/read are on goodreads. Edit your shelves and tick the "exclusive" option next to a shelf (it's the third sqare). You can later change it back to the regular type of bookshelf.
Prompt: the Authors First name starts with the last letter of the previous author. Example, if Stephen King was current author, you look for a G for the next author
So glad you’re loving the Folk of the Air series. It’s a favorite of mine. I read Curse of Saints last year and have been interested in Curse of Sins but not sure if I really want to continue the series or not. I haven’t even read A Dawn of Onyx yet. It was so popular when it first came out and the hype has really died down on it.
I remember years ago that show password where you're only supposed to give one word hints, someone was penalized for using Spider-man because it has a hyphen and therefore was considered two words so by that logic half-known is definitely two words.
8:40 Yup, this book has that effect on you, I speak from experience. Couldn't put it down and it ended in a heartbreak. But I love it🥰 25:31 Oh, I love green and now am curious if I'll pick the green team (so to say.)
Lol - love the 1st pick! 😂 Theo's meow got my cats' attention, lol! Mmmm....coffee! ☕️ I like how you chose your highest rating! The jar of chaos, lol! 😂 I decided the Wayward Children series wasn't for me after theb1st one was a meh 3☆ for me. I WANT TO SEE THE REALMATHON BOOKMARKS!!! The Leviathan bookmarks are gorgeous! Can't wait for them to arrive! 😍 I gave A Shade of Madness 4☆s. ❤️ I have A Promise of Peridot on my shelf & need to get to it. I gave A Curse of Saints 3☆s and decided not to continue the series. Another fun vlog! 🎉 🌵
If you loved the Cruel Prince series go back and read her earlier works "a modern faerie tale" which is a bind up of 3 novellas and a short story that pre dates cruel prince and then also "the darkest part of the forest"
I feel so seen! I have never heard someone with the same feelings as me on Wayward Children. I gave up 50 pages into book 6. They have so much potential but just don't give me what i want.
I agree 100% with Two Twisted Crowns. I really liked Elm in the first book and his relationship with Raven and his brother/father. I looooved the first book, read in two days. And than he is such a simp in the second one? Takes one look at her and is only ever thinking about her ~~body 😒 I did not care about them together at all.
Omg so many books! I actually just unhauled my special editions of dawn of onyx series because I finished the series and it went so downhill from book one 😭 And I’m on bloody heart too and binge read the first three like three years ago……but I’m scared of book four since it’s accidental pregnancy…..we will see lol 😂
This makes me feel good about my decision to dnf! Also yeah if I remember correctly that's exactly why I didn't continue it originally and then time wasn't my friend
You are chipping away at these so quickly, I love it! Fully support your CoS and God-King dnfs. Both such letdowns for me. Haha I see you dogearing a book when you have so many beautiful bookmarks you’ve literally made yourself (CANNOT WAIT for those realmathon ones 😍😍) Also I’m cackling at the two audios being exactly the same length
I love watching your reading vlogs (new subscriber so I’ve been binging them 😜)! I know this has nothing to do with books but I need to know how you make your hair look so shiny! 🙈
Loving this series (and dnf-ing when things don't end up working for you)! 😊 Looking forward to the next one! Also, I don't know if it's mean to shout out a book series on a video where you're trying to lower the number of series 😅but I wanna do it anyway 🤭 A few days ago I picked up The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova because 1. I had it on my radar for a few years now 2. The covers are just gorgeous 3. I heard that the main char (and her whole world) is pasexualn, which would work great for the r/fantasy romantasy HM prompt (bonus points to see a pan rep, as I don't think I have ever read about a pan protagonist before). I am quite liking it, and it is definitely a slow burn (I'm over 100 pages in and they are still at each other's throats), hate to love and enemies to lovers (I count those 2 as different tropes). The love interest is from a species called "dragons", tho they are humanoids and we still don't know why they are called that. I am enjoying it, but I feel like you might like it even more, because the world is quite complex and we are organically learning about it and there is actual plot happening and there have been a few quite cool battle sequences so far. The MC is quite capable and a badass (tho I do find her unnecessarily mean to the love interest from time to time), also she is going through the air Attack on Titan style, which is super cool to imagine. And I believe you mentioned you have read and enjoyed Elise Kova's books before. Sorry about such a long comment! 😅
SPOILER FOR TWO TWISTED CROWNS: I think the point of the romance was that even though Ione wasn't supposed to feel because of the maiden card, she was such a pure, kind hearted person that she did feel something for Elm. Somethings cannot be gotten rid of even with magic
So funny, I liked The Shepherd King series so much better than The Folk of the Air series. I found the Folk of the Air so so boring, but everyone has different tastes!
I do not know why but I always feel SO BAD when I am DNF'ing a book. Like I wasted my time on it and failed. I guess its just a toxic way of thinking I have to work on
I loved the Cruel Prince and then it went downhill for me. I despised Carden so he ruined the rest of the series. I also think that she should have combined the 2nd and 3rd books and then then have a 3rd book centred around something that I can't say coz it's a spoiler😅
I think that you need to completely finish the "Folk of the Air" series BEFORE you go on to other series because you don't really want to be reading the other "stuff"! Nothing will be as good right now. You are so focused on and thinking about the "Air" series that nothing is sounding/looking good.

Cover color that was an accent color on previous book 🖤
A book with one more letter in the title than the last one
Find a book with a similar cover aesthetic as the last book.
The main character of the book you've read would hate the main character of this book.
🌵 love this series!
Prompt: Read a book whose author is mentioned in the acknowledgements of (or blurbed) the last book you read
Yay! I'm glad you've been enjoying it
The way you are flying through these series is goals! 🌵
Hahah except that I known I'm about to add so many to it😂
Oh trust me, you didn’t lose anything by DNFing the curse of sins… we buddy read it with Maria, and by the end it was just us ranting about everything 😅 you are totally right that Will is the only person that carries this series and I decided to not read book 3 when it comes out even if it is the end of the series

Good to know. I DNFed after book 1 I couldn’t take the not like other girls/chosen one blah blah blah.
i love this series so much. makes me get secondhand motivation to complete the series I'm in the middle of 😭
Glad to help you be ruthless like me 😂
I 100% agree with your take on Two Twisted Crowns. I loved One Dark Window and almost instantly went into TTC with the expectation of loving that one too. After posting I'm learning there are actually a lot of us who felt this way but before posting I hadn't heard anyone say this!!!

its been fun to be obsessed!!!
@ it really is 🥰
the wicked king was my favourite book out of the trilogy i'm so happy you loved it!
Im truly scared for book three
Loving this series!
im happy everyone seems to enjoy it
nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone fall head over heels in love with a new series, I am sooo glad folk of the air is everything you were hoping it would be 🤩
also I feel you on wayward children, and that last one definitely deserved more dinosaurs hahahah

79! Esmay!!
@AbbySalter please do shame me into getting this under control 🤣🤣🥴
FYI you can make any shelf the type that to-read/read are on goodreads. Edit your shelves and tick the "exclusive" option next to a shelf (it's the third sqare). You can later change it back to the regular type of bookshelf.
Yeah but you do that on the desktop and I really only use the app. Also I'm lazy and just don't feel the need to have this
Love how productive you were in this one!!
I really killed it
I am loving this series!! I need more of this!! 🌵
Episode three early December!!!
This is a good way to work through series. I have so many currently on the go. Slowly i'll get there. :)
It was very necessary
Prompt: the Authors First name starts with the last letter of the previous author. Example, if Stephen King was current author, you look for a G for the next author
Can’t wait for those bookmarks!! I’m feeling pretty similarly with promise of peridot.
one of those series where the first book is the best sadly
🌵 I loved this series keep it up!
hopefully episode three is coming early December!!!
I NEED a bookshelf tour
I can probably do this
🌵I love this book series, can't wait for the next one!!
I'm so happy everyone's been enjoying it!! Hopefully next episode early December

yeah the hype for dawn of onyx really died dowwwn
Do you have a video explaining your series spreadsheet or have it to share as a template? I love this series and I love a good spreadsheet
Such great series progress! Inspiring me to tackle my absurd list. 😂
You can do it!
Omg your series spreadsheet is super cool! Could you do a more in depth video on it😂
Love this series ❤ promt first letter last letter
I remember years ago that show password where you're only supposed to give one word hints, someone was penalized for using Spider-man because it has a hyphen and therefore was considered two words so by that logic half-known is definitely two words.
ooooh I like the way you think, I feel less guilty now hahaha
8:40 Yup, this book has that effect on you, I speak from experience. Couldn't put it down and it ended in a heartbreak. But I love it🥰
25:31 Oh, I love green and now am curious if I'll pick the green team (so to say.)
I'm so scared for the final book!!!!!
Heehee the green one is very pretty
@@CoverswithCassidy Don't be😉
Lol - love the 1st pick! 😂

Love these episodes
im really glad everyone has been enjoying them

Oooh i didn't know about these will have to look into it
Way to be ruthless!! Too bad you couldn't sneak Queen of Nothing in there but it was fun watching you get through some more series!!
Ruthlessness was needed! I tried so hard to read queen of nothing but the jar was against me😂
Wait…. I just saw your short about going to The Book Boudoir - I live in Edmonton and I’ve never seen an AB booktuber!!!
welcome, I am also an edmontonian
I was literally at Book Boudoir yesterday and I got the second in the Trials of the Sun Queen trilogy. So fun!
I feel so seen! I have never heard someone with the same feelings as me on Wayward Children. I gave up 50 pages into book 6. They have so much potential but just don't give me what i want.
Yeah I relate to this, and I always feel like I'm the wrong one cause everyone else loves them
now I feel like I need to work on my series too 😅🌵
honestly It feels good I reccommend
Love KitKats ❤
Truly

perfect timing
thank you for this honey
i think it would be fun if you just put all the series names in the jar. and what you get is what you get. thanks for sharing
Stay tuned for episode three
Those bookmarks are gorgeous! Do u design them yourself? Hahaha, I think I heard the kitties meowing weirdly off camera at 2 points! 😂
Yes I design them myself! Yeah they are talkative cats
I feel like the third book could work for you !
Sophie lark makes me sad but honestly I get it lol
I feel like I would have hated the pregnancy trope in it too, I didn't even make it that far
54 is good! 🌵
@ oh 100% you would have lol

I love watching your reading vlogs (new subscriber so I’ve been binging them 😜)! I know this has nothing to do with books but I need to know how you make your hair look so shiny! 🙈
truthfully by not washing it hahahahahah this is my sad truth hahaha, but thank you so much
I feel like you should use prompts to pick which series you binge next
This could be fun!
Loving this series (and dnf-ing when things don't end up working for you)! 😊 Looking forward to the next one!
Also, I don't know if it's mean to shout out a book series on a video where you're trying to lower the number of series 😅but I wanna do it anyway 🤭

@@CoverswithCassidy fair enough
I’m just saying you might want to take the ruthlessness and apply it to the faithful and the fallen🤭🌵
HAHAHA ITS COMING ONE DAY
It breaks my heart you didn’t love the sacred stones trilogy, it’s one of my favorite series. ❤
So so sorry but I'm glad you love it
If you enjoyed the first book but DNF the rest of the series, maybe keep the first book and slot them in a shelf of their own? 🌵
Sometimes I do this sometimes I don't depends on the series
if it makes you feel better i also feel a bit disconnecred form the wayward children series
I liked Two Twisted Crowns but liked One Dark Window a lot better and overall I liked but didn’t love the series.
I would agree
❤ 📚 ❤
thank you for watching!

How can you despise my sweet crueeeeel prince 😂😂 I can't wait till I get to book three
@CoverswithCassidy I found him so annoying lol. I was angry when they first kissed 😂
spoilers
there is not a single spoiler in this video imo
At least you got rid of some books you didn't like
I did I did!

Love to see the savagery. Get rid of these books and DNF these series
it honestly feels soooo goood
might not sound fun but maybe read them in alphabetical order.
