- So my employer required me to go to Phuket not only once but twice! And I was spoiled with a Business Class flight for the return night flight.
Such opportunities are rare so it was an exciting trip!
Come and join me on these two night flights from Phuket combined into one video as I will be able to show a more thorough experience this way.

I love the sound that engine start
I love it too, can never get enough of it!😍
You're lucky to live in Dubai, not just because it's a nice and diverse city but because you're only a 4-7 hour flight from amazing places around Europe, Africa, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. The most insane weekend getaways you can imagine in a relatively short flight. I live in NYC and it takes me forever to get to Asia.
That is precisely one of my favorite things about living here. And I’ve made the very best out of it since I ever arrived, specially on my off days. I know that one day I’ll miss being so close to Asia, ME, Africa and Australia that I keep traveling whenever I can.
I encourage you to head this way for a couple of years as an experience!

I love it, but somehow I miss the RR engines on the Emirates B777-300’s..
Haha, instantly recognised the resort! Stayed there too in the 3 story villa with private pool. Loved it.
And I saw those villa’s on my way to the beach, oh my God! Why would you leave the room?😂

What an absolutely AMAZING flight. Emirates catering looks incredible. Also, I think it is an incredibly nice gesture of you to provide gifts for the cabin attendants. I should consider doing that next time I fly. Thank you for this video !

Can you bring pizza on board for them to eat or would they ask you toss that out in thinking you stick your hands in there and now you bring it on board in getting everyone sick with your germs?

The destinations are something I always wonder when I see planes around so I just check on my live radar and add the info for you all as well 😄
I don’t think there will ever be a better startup sound as even the new B777-9X seems to have some annoying long start up sound like the B787..

Hey Mortuza, thanks for the comment. I just use my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I have some fancy camera but the phone is just the easiest.

Emirates is my second home so it’s so much easier for me to make video’s there as I walk around like I own the plane😂.
Emirates is along with KLM always special for me. It just can’t go wrong.
While of course there are some better products out there it’s just home on EK.

Great work as always Alex! Hmm, wonder who your employer is! Definitely 2 thumbs up for filming and using chop sticks! Haha, well done!! I totally agree you just cannot fault EK! I have gold status now and flying back to Amsterdam next month for a short visit. AKL-KUL-DXB on 777-300 and then A380 to AMS all in business class. The other great aspect is I get a limo service at Schiphol so dont need to burden any relatives to come to the airport. I love it! Looking forward to it! Reuze bedankt Alex!!

I recently traveled Business Class on Emirates A380 from JFK to Dubai and then on the 777 from Dubai to Maldives.
The A380 completely spoils the modern air traveler. It is more spacious, more comfortable and QUIETER than the 777 (and the A350).
The Business Class seats in the A380 are superior (with their own minibar and footrest).
The 777 shoulder room wasn't enough for me. I found it uncomfortable. The only thing it offers is more foot and leg room with easier walk in aisle spacing.
You are completely right, the A380 experience is a whole different world.

I don’t really mind any, am happy with the window, but I understand it does to others. (Although the bar is a big fun bonus)
I hope they get a more consistent Business Class on the whole fleet in the near future.

I heard the the GE9X of the 777X is even more powerful, but still the GE90-115B gets a special place in my heart.

Wonderful video, as always. Great photography, good narrative (could be a little less though..a bit overload..as always:) Looks like you had a great flight..as usal in an empty EK cabin. But hey..be honest! Rather than celebreting the 3 windows in 8A it would have been more honest to at least also address this old cabin..and what a night mare it can be if you end up in a narrow middle seat of this totally outdated 2-3-2 configuration. I liked that you identify yourself as a European..and unless you live in the UK, you might even say EU next time:)))) Greetings from an EU viewer:)))

Thank you for the compliments. The long narratives must be thanks to my inevitable Spanish talking-machine genetics. I am just very excited to finally find a group of people who I can share my passion with so I take it all out.
I’ll try to turn it down a little, always appreciate your feedback. I learn from the best!
Regarding the 2-3-2, yes, it’s incredibly outdated. I know that it is what brings the money but everyone else around just improved the hard product.
I am very much looking forward to the new Business Class that will be announced. I have incredibly high expectations as they just need to wow the world again. (it will be 1-2-1).
I did not mention the 2-3-2 because it’s just something Emirates is far too well known for and their biggest weakness. I think all of us know and dislike this concept in 2022.
It’s something I’ve written Emirates incredibly much about, or told employees, that to mention it yet again would be repetitive for me. But yes, for the wider audience I should have.
On the other hand, I have flown fully enclosed suites in Business Class and never felt that lonely on a 14 hour long flight.. I kind of missed the interactions with anyone.
I flew yesterday from Mexico to Madrid and enjoyed a 5 hour long chat with my Mexican seat neighboor.
It all depends on our preferences and personality I guess..

Yes, I love Pakistani mangoes too, I always have some at home. My son loves them too. Also from India. They are widely available in Dubai.
The thing is that the Thai mango is just a melt in the mouth sweet. And in Dubai they are a luxury product.
I’m sure I haven’t tried enough and don’t know enough of the matter, but if you know any particular mango type to try please let me know and I will!

Of course you’re allowed to take it! Whatever is handed out is yours to keep.

I didn't like the business class on emirates B777 cause of no direct aisle access and the middle seat in business class (Having 2+2+2 seat on business class is fine for short and medium haul flights but 1+2+1 should be used for business class. I didn't like the fact that there was a middle seat for business class which is outdated.).
But still this video was good and the seats are comfortable.

I went to Thailand twice, and I got twice a ticket in Business, so it’s actually two separate flights on the same route!

I flew this on 30th May, boarding in Bangkok. Having flown with Emirates many times before, I was slightly underwhelmed this time. Service was exemplary as always but the food was just meh 🫤 my breakfast pancakes were awful, far too sweet and sickly. Wouldn’t stop me flying with Emirates again but they definitely need to up their game now to justify the premium prices they charge.

They were quite sweet, and I’m not a sweets person, but I loved how different it was to the usual pancakes or breakfasts I get on other airlines.

How can you eat so much on a short flight? My trip is 23 hours and I could not eat half that is offered.! But looks wonderful.
There were 2 times the same flight!
I took it twice over the period of 2 weeks, so I thought it would be cool to combine it.

Imagine they would give Thai massages on the same plane.. I’m sure if one airline was capable of doing that it would be Emirates!
I changed into the slippers as soon as I boarded, I’m not crazy man😂. I always take the ones from hotels and carry some in my cabin bag.

Hey again Adam. It’s part of my job, hobby and life.. I made the right career choices that would all involve me traveling.
Of course the wife and kid tag along quite often, I even get to film with them. I can’t film with him alone any longer as he’s a busy kid, so I film in installments.
I have a massive backlog of video’s to be released.

Dear which one is most liked airline from you side you were traveled and where did you buy your flight tickets???
Dear Khaja, I don’t really know which airline to choose as it depends on who I am with, how I feel and where I am going.
My favorite from childhood memories is KLM. They always treated me great and allowed me as a child to take off and land in the cockpit, so they have a special place in my heart.
At Emirates I always have a great fun time. Friendly crew and good service. It’s also the best airline to travel with if you go with kids.
Air France is so French and chic, when I want to spoil myself I go there.
Singapore Airlines is just so perfect.
Qatar Airways is lavish and professional. Really nice but sometimes not so professional is more fun. It all depends on what I feel like!
I book the tickets from many sources.. I spend hours looking for the best tickets from various websites with VPN. I’ll show in my next video!

How were you able to order everything on the Light Bites menu?
How do you find out which B777-300ER or A380, etc.... flies to which destination btw? Where did you get all the info?? And do you know which cities Emirates fly their A380 and B777-300ER to btw and have they restored their entire network to normalcy????
I use an app where I can see all live traffic on my phone. I write it down or I check the registrations out when I’m editing. It’s extra work but worth it!
Destination wise the network is almost back to its old self, frequencies however I think are at 70% or so.. Don’t know exactly!
But glad to see it’s returning back to normal.

Emirates had 4 incident on 777 that plane wasn’t taking off im glad your plane took off

Just came back from Malaysia to Dubai (business) then First Class from Dubai to JFK. Honestly speaking, a lot of youtuber overrated the airline, service and facility I would say rated 5 stars, but the food.......sorry
In my opinion the problem with the meals is that it’s just a far too international airline: they have over 120 stations in different countries where they are catered. It’s hard to keep consistency everywhere as food is just different in all countries/cities. Then also everything needs to be halal, which is really big logistics in Muslim minority countries..
Also European food kind of sucks in Asia and Asian food is is quite bland in Europe. The same counts for all other cuisines!
And there is so much more behind the scenes that I don’t fully have time to mention all.
It’s just a mega complicated operation so I kind of understand why it’s hard to not to be perfect.
There is however always room for improvement so I hope it’s part of their major expected changes!

How can you film the both sides of the plane during takeoff?
I mentioned how I had to take the same flight twice for work, so it’s two flights mixed into one.
6:14 I am just a scaredy cat! I get really scared of these B777 Engines starting up.
If at all, basically, I like to sit next to the actual middle of the plane (wingspan wise) and not next to the window.
I hope that changes some day soon! No need to be afraid of those engines, they are the safest and most powerful in the world!
@@TheLayoverAviation It has changed, but I still do get kind of scared listening to that noise on a Wednesday in Emirates.
One doubt the headphones are free or just to use in plane ?
To use in the plane. I don’t think they would miss them if they’re gone but they won’t work at home anyway as they are an aircraft 3 powered plug ones. They won’t work without external power.

I make sure that whatever I do includes having to fly:
I have a wife from a different country so we go there a lot, I have a family that is scattered around, I moved to Dubai to be able to travel more, I choose flying and filming as a hobby and my job is a big travel giant which requires me to travel!

@@TheLayoverAviation Is the service even better than on the regular Emirates Airbus A380-800? By the way, the Airbus A380 I was talking about was A380-861 and probably not A380-800 (I think, I don't know, maybe it might be the case).
The service is the same, what differentiates is the seat and the on board lounge.

From my point of view there was definately a food supply problem on board. 🙄
Out of the 42 people most just slept the whole way so it would be all thrown away. I had to help and do the world and my channel a favor !😁

Just the iPhone 13 pro max Janette. Phones are in my opinion much easier to use vs professional cameras on planes.
