@@CobbleBompsteri had a lecture that covered some of this! essentially chatgpt uses algorithms to write out text and the detectors try to seek out any grammatical patterns in said text. as well as this it looks at style and writer's word choices. where it goes wrong is that it isn't impossible for a person to write in a way that chatgpt would produce text so there is a large chance of detecting false positives

So the professor used an AI tool to judge their students papers, then listened to whatever the AI told them to do? What if a student is wrongfully accused? The only person at fault here IS the professor. Instead of actually trying to get to the bottom of things and talking to the student one-on-one he relies on AI to tell him what to think. This video unironically showed that the professor is at fault.

Grass is a type of plant that is found in many regions of the world. It is one of the most common types of vegetation on the planet, and it plays a vital role in many ecosystems. Grass belongs to the Poaceae family, which also includes other plants such as corn, wheat, and rice.
Grass is a tall, green plant that is typically used to cover the ground in parks, fields, and other areas. It has long, narrow leaves that grow from a stem that can range in height from just a few inches to several feet. The leaves of grass are typically rigid and fibrous, with a hollow interior that helps to provide support and structure to the plant.
One of the most interesting things about grass is that it has the ability to tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions. This makes it an incredibly resilient and versatile plant, able to thrive in areas that might be too hot, too cold, too dry or too wet for other types of vegetation. Grass is also very adaptable, meaning that it can change its growth habits and structure in response to changes in the environment.
Grass plays a crucial role in many different ecosystems, serving as an important food source for many different animals. Grazing animals such as cows, sheep, and deer rely heavily on grass as a primary source of nutrition, while other animals like birds and insects use grass for nesting and shelter. In addition, grass helps to stabilize soils and prevent erosion, which is particularly important in areas where rainfall is heavy or where the soil is particularly vulnerable to erosion.
Overall, grass is a fascinating and important plant that plays a vital role in the ecology of many different regions of the world. Its resilience and versatility make it a valuable resource for humans and animals alike, and it is likely to continue to be an important feature of the natural world for many years to come.

In my profession i began to see the emergence of AI assisted written work. The curious thing though was that my colleagues noticed this trend when they realised the written work they had received was too perfect and not at all in tone of that particular students former outputs. I on the other hand found red flags within the essay itself irrespective of the individual offering such a hand in. The reading experience of ai generated essays is that of expected standard and not anything like individual contribution. In short, AI essays read like convoluted pandering pasifiers rather than unique counterpoints. I grade students writings based on a human criteria. If i have written work riddled with errors but somehow still demonstrates the earnest intentions of its creator, i grade positively. With AI essays ive found the intention is removed in an embarrassingly obvious wway. AI has some lenghts to go still to clear up that non human discrepancy
