Trail Camera Hazards

Close calls with wildlife trail cams. Every trail cam location has its inherent hazards. In remote areas we would anticipate that the hazard to trail cams won't be humans. Recently two of my cams were exposed to the hazard of falling trees along a small creek. You can't anticipate these kinds of hazards so I suggest that you don't worry about near misses and place your trail camera using your knowledge of animal behavior and focus on increasing the odds of getting quality clips.

It’s good that the cameras are still intact after the log fell across the creek. Now there’s a dry crossing for the animals that choose to use it.
