70's Rock. Timeless stuff. So many good bands, so much great music. No other era even comes close. I was in a store with my 17 yr old nephew, some 70's rock tune was playing overhead and I started singing along. He said "That is so old!!!" I said "Yep, 50 years. Do you think 50 years from now anyone is going to be listening to the crap that's played now?" The cashier started laughing and said " Preach to that young boy!".
And jus think, they were able to produce all that great music without autotune and pitch correction. I don't think you can listen to any recorded music that's put out today that isn't pitch corrected.
Lou Gram had an amazing voice and I loved Foreigner. Lou pulled through some dark times. He was experiencing headaches, double vision and went to the doctor and found put he had an inoperable terminal brain tumour. He heard a doctor on TV say he was doing this very new and difficult surgery on brain tumours and Lou flew out to see him and 4 days after he was initially diagnosed he found himself on the operating table and they removed the tumour and he is with us today. Great band!
Born in 1962, I got to grow up with these bands. Got to dance through the 70s and rock through the 80s and 90s. I would not have wanted to be born in any other year. I have had the BEST of the BEST!!!

Love 💗 Foreigner - to me, they are like the sister-band to Boston... (or should I say brother-band) haha. Two phenom bands. I enjoy the comments you both hv & appreciate what a connoisseur of music your partner is there.
When this came out there was some of the coolest concerts in the world going on here in America. I attended a Cleveland Concert where the bands playing were J. Geils, Rick Derringer, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger and another band. I can't remember the fifth band. But it was out of this world. There will never ever be concerts like that again. But I seen Foreigner, Dobies, Joe Cocker, and on and on. I am seventy one now and grateful I got to hear most of these live.
you guys need to do a deep dive on Foreigner, they are a great band and have alot of bangers, Juke Box Hero, Urgent, Hot Blooded, Feels Like the First Time, Double Vision, Head Games, Dirty White Boy, Long Way From Home, Waiting for a Girl Like You,

Classic Foreigner song! Great melody, fantastic guitars, superb keyboards and outstanding vocals... this was a song that I heard again and again over the years on the radio while growing up. Thanks for bringing this and I'm so happy (but not surprised) that you found this and it filled in some gaps from your music history. Many times when one artist samples or borrows from another song or tune it is just like you were describing in that you don't receive the breadth of what the original effort entailed. Crazy this came out in 1977. I was in early elementary school. “I Wanna Know What Love Is” was mid 80’s. It was a deviation for them, but probably their most recognized song as a cross over power ballad. “Juke Box Hero” is a banger. Really cool younger generation appreciates the talent from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. My high school age son loves the 70’s and 80’s music. He says that he wished he grew up in the 80’s. Foreigner is one of his favorites. So many good songs.
Your always surprised that there songs sound so different, the bands from late 60s, 70s and 80s all played different music, they played alot o instruments and sang no beatbox no auto tune just pure talant
I love that my parents introduced me to these great bands from the 70s. When I was a kid I hated listening to their music and now I appreciate it the music so much.
Evil Woman was written by Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra. You definitely need to check that out too. Love Foreigner! They have lots of big hits in the 70’s. Dirty White Boy, Waiting for a Girl like You, Urgent, I Want to Know What Love Is and some of their biggest.
Foreigner is one of my all-time favorites! There is an entire catalogue of songs to dive into! Lou Gramm is one of the all-time best vocalists, period! Please listen to more.
My 1st concert was 1978 Foreigner Double Vision tour and The Cars opened for them. I was a kid but still remember how good they sounded. Their 1st 2 albums are still so great to listen to.
Great album from start to finish. A companion song by Foreigner is Head Games, and another catchy one with a great hook is Urgent.... enjoy this rabbit hole should you decide to continue with Foreigner....Lou Gramm (the lead singer) has a very signature voice...
Great reaction, Pegasus! "Cold as Ice" was from Foreigner's debut album (1978?). I was a junior in high school, and wore this album out! This is many years before "I Wanna Know What Love Is".
your right what you said, im 60 years old, and lived through through some of best decades of music, The stuff, gen Z and gen X are listning to now, and alot wishing they were born back then, In my opion the 80's was the best era, for music legends, for the many genre of music, we had MJ, Queen phil coloins, status quo, the stone, dire straits, Tina turner, just look at live aid, and then there is the fashion, the hair styles, we had disco, i could go on for ever, Just my opinion
When you say "perfect song", you're not far off the mark. This was their first album and it just EXPLODED on the scene like an A-bomb. Everyone went crazy for it. 80 million records sold by these guys. And "I Want To Know What Love Is" was a good ten years down the road from this ... kind of the beginning of the end for the hard rockin' stuff. Sadly. LOTS of great stuff to hear from this band!
Check out their song “Women” to stay in the lane of this song. One of my favorite Foreigner songs is “Long Long Way From Home” #blackpegasusraps #blackpegasus #donjuanabe #foreigner
Many of the rap songs you are familiar with are sampled from other places. I can't tell you how many reaction channels with rappers didn't know these great songs 20, 30, 40 & 50 years ago existed, and have been sampled over & over again.
I've been a Foreigner fan since this album came out when I was 14. Not a bad song on the entire album. Saw them in concert for the Head Games Tour in 1979 and Foreigner Four in 1982.
1981 ( I think lol)Texas Jam at the Cotton Bowl, I was in front of the stage when Foreigner came on at 2 pm. Lost my shoes and had to fight to keep my Wild Turkey hat...lol. Have always loved these guys.
Sometimes a song is just a song. Most of them aren't even written about themselves. They just want to make a song they think will sell. I'm talking about all musicians, not just Foreigner.
Watching your face BP in this one is awesome! I can see how spun out you are by this song, lyrics and music. Foreigner are an all time favourite for this 70s baby.
Cold as Ice was before, I want to Know What Love Is, by many years. Foreigner was a very hard rock band, and they switched to a softer rock style. Many fans, me included, weren't happy about that change. Not that I hated the later stuff, but the early music was, by far, much more superior. Please do a reaction to Jukebox Hero!

Boston, Journey, Kansas, Foreigner and The Boss (Springsteen)! What a summer it was!
