Hi, I just built my first pc. When I pressed the power button everything started working fine, apart from a red led on the vga status. However the monitor turned on and sent me to the menu to set up my bios. I tried to press F2 or F12 but the keyboard seemed not to work. I also tried to change the keyboard but that was not the problem. Regarding the red led I searched on TH-cam some videos but none of them worked. Now I am here with my new pc and I can’t use it because I can’t set up my bios, what should I do?
I just built a PC! It was able to post the day we built it and we were able to get stuff together and then the next day it wouldn’t boot up. Just shows the MSI logo (I have an MSI motherboard) I can bring it into bios and everything. I tried clicking the f8 key, but it’s just a black screen now. I’m not sure what is wrong. I’ve searched everywhere, no sign of luck. All the wiring seems fine in my computer, I had a friend who builds PCs for a living build it, and I’ve tried to talk to him but he’s out of town for the week. I’m concerned something went wrong when putting my Intel in, but everything was fine the day we put it together.
My computer will post but when I try to hit F1 or F2 or F8. None of it works. It won't let me in to the bios or anything. Then it goes to a screen that lists all the hardware and says press F1 to enter bios and that won't work either. So I'm at a stand still. I really hate to take it somewhere to be charged $100 for something simple. Any advice?
I always look for a possible PSU short, especially if there are SATA power connectors with the lands showing, or if the unit has Molex connectors, since they stick out a little beyond the plastic connectors sometimes and can short against a random piece of case metal.
ItsMaple I was playing ROBLOX one day and left to go to my dads house cause and when I came back it never turned on ever again and it’s been like 8 months
So, my PC straight up froze while I was using it. The screen on my monitor was locked onto the last thing before it froze, and I couldn't use CTRL ALT DEL to even work. To top it off, the light that flickers when the memory is on use speed flickering, and it should've been because I was running a program at the time. I turned my PC off manually and tried to boot it back up. I thought it would boot up just fine, and it didn't. When I try to boot it up everything turns on, the memory light flickers a bit, and then nothing. It doesn't POST or anything. If I leave it like that the memory light will flicker occasionally, however, I know it's not even trying to boot up windows, because the memory would go pretty much solid for that (still using HDD). I thought it might be the HDD, so I connected an old one that still has windows 10 on it, and it did the same thing. I know it's not the video card because of the fact that I would see the memory light go solid as of windows was boring, and I just couldn't see anything because the video card is fried. I actually had just replaced my vid card about a year ago. I literally have no clue what it is. I mean, my computer is pretty old. So, it could be anything. I disconnected everything, reconnected them, cleared the BIOS, and still nada. The only thing I didn't do was taking the memory out and trying the sticks separately, and in different slots. I'll try that now to see if anything happens.

I cleaned my PC the other day because it was dirty. When I turned it back on it wouldn’t boot windows to my SSD and I got a new NvMe chip and it worked except when I play my games they are running at half the frames they should be. And my bios says it’s operating at 126 degrees. Any tips? Thanks !
I had a problem like this. My pc powered on, but wouldn't boot. Fans spinning and the lights all on. I've tried restarting pressing delete and F8, no joy. I finally unplugged the bios battery, left it out for 5 min, and unplugged everything and held down power button for 20 seconds. Then it booted up with a 'bios has been changed enter setup' notification, so finally able to get things running again.
My pc will have power and the fans going and lights but nothing will show up on my monitor And I don’t know what to do it shows a green light on the monitor and dont know what to do any help?
Me and my son are DIY a Newegg gaming pc combo. The B450-Plus MOBO lights up with power but no beeps or fans spin up. I have tested multiple memory slots
I need help, I just built a PC and it will boot when the GPU power cables are plugged into the GPU, but when they are not plugged into the GPU, the PC boots. What could be the problem?
F8 doesnt work in Windows 10 anymore, your PC has to fail to boot 3 times for it to boot to Windows RE then click advanced startup or startup options to boot into safe mode
When starting computer, hold down SHIFT KEY and this will take you to TroubleShoot, then choose SAFE MODE in Menu. This replaced the hitting F8. Another way, (as per Microsoft), when booting computer, after you get past the MFG LOGO, unplug Power Cord (turns off computer, essentially Crashing Windows). Then plug in power cord, and turn on. This makes Windows think it needs to REPAIR itself, and will take you to the TroubleShooting mode, to get to SAFEMODE.
I'm confused. She said if it boots up in safe mode, there is a Hardware issue at play, but then listed software issues? If Im ignorant, please let me know. But That confuses me, because that is the issue I am having.
I have a Lenovo M93P all in one desktop, every time I turn on the PC the fan spins for 2 seconds and then stop and the Lenovo logo shows up and stays there. Please help
Hi. Mi PC turns on but dont boot, after a power outage. The speaker never beeps. Fans and lights are on, RAM checked OK in every slot, every cable looks fine, Power SW and Reset SW pins are OK. Do this confirm the problem ISN'T the PSU? The only weird behaviour is the GPU, it turns on, but its fans start and stop on a loop every second. I tried another cable but still the same. Any thought or idea? I need to finish my collage final project, for real.
I have a old system, windows 7, intel Pentium, 4gb ram or maybe less I guess, I was installing .net framework v4 and I went to get water I kitchen, when I am back BOOM monitor says no video input, what to do now? Fans r working, F8 didn't helped
I just bought an Asus strix b450-f motherboard and a be quiet 801 case. These are the only new components the other I have used before and work fine. The rgb on the motherboard turns on when power is on but nothing else seems to boot up (cpu fan, case fans) when I try to turn on the pc via the button on my case nothing happens, wont turn on fans dont spin up, rgb on ram doesnt light up. What should i do?
Check all of your power connections on the motherboard to make sure they are plugged in securely. If they are, it might be a faulty power switch on the case. Try testing a different power switch to see if it will power on.
I just built a new rig with all 8th Gen Parts. Motherboard-Asus B360M-A. CPU-Intel Core i3 8100. RAM-32Gigs of G-Skill Ripjaws DDR4, Speed compatible with the motherboard. Power Supply-Antec 750-Watt High Current Gamer Modular Series. Video Card-EVGA GTX-1660Ti SC ULTRA. Hardrive is a Western Digital 2TB Blue. My computer is air cooled, no liquid cooling, and this is my third build. I have no idea why it won't start up, I've never had this issue before. Everything is indeed connected correctly, the motherboard light is on, I'm partial to Zalman case's because they're not dust suckers like several other brands I've used. My case is a Zalman Z11 Plus High Performance. I feel like the issue might be a faulty case, I've had this happen before with a Cooler Master case I bought several years ago, I was able to return it and get one that worked, but I bought the parts over the course of a year, and the warranty is now void on this case. If anyone has any kind of answers, it would be much appreciated. Thank You.
I just replaced a cpu with Ryzen 5 5600g and it is compatible with my b450M motherboard. I checked for bent pins and It still powers on but the debug led shows CPU light. What should I do?
Hi I was cleasing my cpu components and resembling them as the guide It also has a start but later on I start it's not . There is a power supply but the motherboard fan is not spinning
Hi there thank you for your comment. If you have already tried the suggestions in this video as well as checking the physical components in and around it perhaps your best bet is to consult with the computer manufacturer for further diagnosis as well as consulting with a local Computer Repair shop.
None of these are working for me. I'm not sure if I should try to take the hard drive out and convert it somehow to my working laptop. If I screw it up is my laptop hard drive done for? I'm not a computer person I barely even use them.
A pc keep giving alarming beeps or siren but still work fine. Usually first thing to do is to replace the PC case and install the RAM in different slots, but some RAM stick are the “leader” stick that must be in the slot 1 to make a pc POST as the other sticks of RAM “follower” sticks that couldn’t POST all by itself. It may not be the PSU has fault, but replace the PSU may fix it if all the fans works fine when there was no POST. Replace mobo’s battery too. In many cases no PC parts has fault, it just need to replace the PC case, RAM, PSU, battery with another working PC parts, so after doing all that, you ended up with 2 working PC system and not a single faulty PC part. May need to replace the PC case because some pc case’s back panel is curved outward and need pushed inward to put in the screw to secure the graphic card, so after some years or weeks of use, it pulled things out of place, bow and arrow theory … … In one of the other cases, each time the power is out in my house, I need to replace the graphic card and installed a graphic card that could POST in the PC, then I install the one that failed to POST back in place and it could POST, so each time the power it’s out I need to repeat that! Some PC could shut down due to static changes when your hand is only touching the power button to the PC that’s made of plastic. Some PC couldn’t POST, just wait a 3 days without using it, then it return to life of POST, this could happen once in a few years of use, like seeing a comet going passing by! Unplug the power cord and HDMI cables to the PC and let it sit there for 3 days …
Hey i need help from you, actually I bought a pc and was working fine till I enabled secure boot, when I enabled it and as u know to enable it we have to be in setup mode so to do so i updated the key platform in key management, after that i save and exited but my pc doesn't boot up. I don't think you covered this so here goes, I'm not certain if my problem is in the bios or registry. Whenever I restart pc (even from bios) pc starts the process of restarting but hangs up, the screen goes black and all fans are initialized, running at max rpm (sounds like anyway) I'm forced at this point to hold the on/off button for 5 secs or so, I guess it's performing a soft shutdown. Once pc is shutdown I can press the start/stop button and windows will load normally. Not the most serious of issues I guess but it is annoying especially when an app calls for a restart.
Gaming pc fans and rob lights turn on and it won’t post I’ve tried everything (different cable, cmos reset, different psu) it says no signal on monitor
So I changed my case and got a new power supply and now it doesn’t work I have tryied everything change the powersupppy no gpu 1 stick of ram and I get no post even my keyboard doesn’t light up
Looking for help. Updated my bios on my acer aspire GX-281 and now it won't post. No beeps, no video. Everything powers up, I hear the hardrive power up but I can't access anything. I cleared the CMOS by removing the battery and jumping the pins and still nothing. HELP!!!!! I can't even access the usb to repair.
My computer was acting a little fun, wasn’t opening certain programs, so I restarted it. Now it’s stuck on the windows start up with the spinning dots. When I restart it 3 times it then gets to the preparing repair with the windows screen, but then goes to a black lit screen. Any ideas of what this issue could be?
Hello I've got a problem :-) I was trying to get an Android TV box hooked up to a television and it wouldn't appear on the TV screen. It came off of another television last week working.

I bought an ASUS PN51 Mini PC Bare Bones with AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Eight-core Mobile Processor - I installed a 970 EVO and two 16 Gigs of Crucial memory and tried to install Win 10 - no bios flash screen, in fact no HDMI signal nor C-monitor signal no keyboard and no mouse are recognized. I reseated the 970 evo tried different connections - I didn't try reseating the memory tho. Also there is no DVD so I copied the files to a USB but again there is no output recognition for monitor keyboard etc Could it be DOA? I just got it yesterday. The power light comes on the fan is running but that's it. I have a 2.5 inch HD arriving tomorrow I can try that I guess but there should be BIOS correct? I saw the lose BIOS chip thing I have no idea where it would be on this - I'll do a search. Any suggestions shall be gratefully appreciated - thank you for your service

Keep your PC running smoothly! Dust buildup can cause overheating and performance issues. Regularly cleaning your PC's interior with compressed air is key. For optimal performance, consider replacing your CPU's thermal paste with a high-quality option. This improves heat transfer from the CPU, keeping it cooler. Upgrading your BIOS: If you're planning to upgrade your CPU, ensure your motherboard BIOS supports it. Updating the BIOS with the latest version can unlock compatibility and improve system stability. Here's a simplified process: Check Compatibility: Verify if your motherboard supports your desired CPU upgrade. Download BIOS Update: Download the latest BIOS update for your specific motherboard model from the manufacturer's website. Format USB Drive (FAT32): Format a USB flash drive in FAT32 format. Copy BIOS Update: Copy the downloaded BIOS update file to the formatted USB drive. Flashing the BIOS: Consult your motherboard manual for specific instructions on accessing the BIOS update utility and flashing the BIOS using the USB drive. (Important Note: This process can be risky, so follow the instructions carefully.) Here are some additional tips: Ground yourself: Before touching any internal components, touch a metal part of the computer case to discharge static electricity. Take your time: Don't force anything when opening the case or disconnecting components. Consult resources: If you're unsure about any step, refer to your motherboard manual or online tutorials. By following these tips, you can keep your PC clean, cool, and compatible with the latest hardware. Bonus (for credibility): With over 26 years of IT support experience, I've seen firsthand the benefits of proper PC maintenance.

I always look for a possible PSU short, especially if there are SATA power connectors with the lands showing, or if the unit has Molex connectors, since they stick out a little beyond the plastic connectors sometimes and can short against a random piece of case metal.
Hey Trish., How often should I reapply thermal paste on the processor ? 👈⁉
It should last for several years, but it's a good idea to change it if you are removing the cooler or experiencing a rise in your CPU temps.

Hey! So computer turns on but goes to black screen with with the cursor blinking. What is that? It’s a Win 10 w/bios. If I restart and hit F12, it will usually start up fine like that.
Have an issue. Built 2 computers with tyan s2885 motherboard with 2 opteron cpus and 16 gb memory, diamond 7.1 sound card, amd video card, sata bluray recirder, sata 4 tb hard drive. Turned on system and amerucan megatrends splash screen appears. I press f11 to go into boot optiin screen, but does not. Gies to another screen briefly that said auto detecting usb mass storage devices..00 usb mass storage devuces fiund and config . It does show my usb keyboard and usb mouse, the sata hard drive and sata blu ray. But then a blinking cursor appears.
I have disassembled both units, reinstaled everything and when piwering up computer, same thing. Why does it try to detect a usb mass storage device. There is no operating system. New everything.
How to I bypass the usb storage device, or what is a usb storage devuce that the motherboard is looking fir?
I took a look at my Lenovo thinkstations cpu and when I tried to turn my pc on after I put it back together my pc would turn on but it wont show picture and after 10 minutes it turns off. I got told to clean my ram but it didn’t work. I don’t know how to fix this please help me .
I'm curently building a pc, and did everything steep by steep like I did few month ago, but this time, nothing show on the screen even if everything was on? I made test and nothing change but when I remove the CPU for a test, well then nothing turn back on, ever, even with the CPU back. Do you have any idea of my issue?
I always check if the RAM is seated correctly first.
I need help when I start my pc it lights up fans on fine and sometimes it goes threw the whole booting process fine but like 6 months ago it started just not displaying anything and I can fix it sometimes but not all the time I try to make it go on safe mode and nothing happens I’ve tried taking my ram out and putting it back in and it works but then when I opened a game it crashed and I had to restart and now I can’t play anything please help

I cleaned my PC the other day because it was dirty. When I turned it back on it wouldn’t boot windows to my SSD and I got a new NvMe chip and it worked except when I play my games they are running at half the frames they should be. And my bios says it’s operating at 126 degrees. Any tips? Thanks !
You know there are two reasons why men watch this video
1. it's informative
2. it's entertaining
Does the board boot if you have no memory modules installed?
Please help
My pc booted, went into windows, froze, and now it turns on but nothing posts to the monitors now

Hi, what is the problem when after a minute or 2, the computer starts beeping 2 secs long continiously. I have a H470M K motherboard. Thanks.
And yes, I have a power stabilizer too
Update. I turn it on without the gpu and nothing change. light and fans running, but no speaker beep that indicates booting or trouble.
My problem was a usb stick I've placed and leave it there, when you said "removing one by one" I knew already what was the problem, thanks 😄😄😄
The control key was stuck to the depressed position. Am I dumb or what?
i got everything startin up but when i get to the part where windows should start its a black screen with a whit flashing line at the top left
Im new to building a PC I got it to turn on but when I press a key to boot up it won't it just keeps on coming up with the same text what should I do
I have a old system, windows 7, intel Pentium, 4gb ram or maybe less I guess, I was installing .net framework v4 and I went to get water I kitchen, when I am back BOOM monitor says no video input, what to do now?
Try testing a different power switch to see if it will power on.
yow i have the exact same issue with my asus strix 390 E did you get anything that fixed your problem UNDISPUTED?
@@wkey8329 I used a flat head screwdriver on the power pins with just the psu, motherboard, ram and cpu connected that booted it up fine
Thank You.
My mother board light are on on my new build but the power button does nothing.
I wish she would come over tonight to fix everything including my pc.
There is a power supply
but the motherboard fan is not spinning
May need to replace the PC case because some pc case’s back panel is curved outward and need pushed inward to put in the screw to secure the graphic card, so after some years or weeks of use, it pulled things out of place, bow and arrow theory … …
In one of the other cases, each time the power is out in my house, I need to replace the graphic card and installed a graphic card that could POST in the PC, then I install the one that failed to POST back in place and it could POST, so each time the power it’s out I need to repeat that!
What should I do? All the fans cpu cooler fans, cabinet fans, gpu fans are working but getting no power in peripherals, so i can't to the troubleshooting through keyboard too..... Pls help me.

Same have you fixed it yet I need help
Same problem with me

Stuck at same place
Were you able to fix it? I’m having the same issue
Hello I've got a problem :-) I was trying to get an Android TV box hooked up to a television and it wouldn't appear on the TV screen. It came off of another television last week working.
So I took the HDMI cable off of the television and I plugged it into my laptop and I'm thinking well I can work with this with a little laptop as opposed to 70-in television screen and if when I did my laptop stopped working and it's never let me down HP Pavilion a couple years old and I can't get it to start I'm panicking I'm not a computer Guru please help

The F8 button push was the key thanks👏

it funny to hear what people say about troubleshooting. you forgot got one . if don't power up at first it could be your PSU. this is a big problem I have seen. most of the time it the switch on the back . of the PSU that is turned off.

This did not help me. I have a black screen with white text saying "No boot device available, strike F1 to retry boot". After this it lists "SATA 0 - installed, SATA-1 installed, SATA-2 none, SATA-3 none". Clicking F1 repeats the message. The PC worked fine yesterday. This is Dell Inspiron 570 with Win 10.
I got totally messed up by EasyBCD and can now not boot from any device including HD's Rescue disc win 7 or 10 installation discs thimb drive. I am just getting "bootmgr missing". I cannot even put a new copy of win 10 on a third drive because it says it has no driver

Hey guys and gals!!
My PC decided to randomly just stop booting up at all. A small light flicker on the power button and cpu fan rotates slightly but that’s all I get… really frustrating. I’ve borrowed a friends PSU and installed that but same issue. It’s a decent system spec but most probably quite dated… any help would be appreciated before I take it to the PC doctor

Upgrading your BIOS:
If you're planning to upgrade your CPU, ensure your motherboard BIOS supports it. Updating the BIOS with the latest version can unlock compatibility and improve system stability. Here's a simplified process:
Check Compatibility: Verify if your motherboard supports your desired CPU upgrade.
(Important Note: This process can be risky, so follow the instructions carefully.)
Here are some additional tips:
Ground yourself: Before touching any internal components, touch a metal part of the computer case to discharge static electricity.
Take your time: Don't force anything when opening the case or disconnecting components.
Consult resources: If you're unsure about any step, refer to your motherboard manual or online tutorials.
By following these tips, you can keep your PC clean, cool, and compatible with the latest hardware.
