  • Nice PAR results! Finally getting around to doing some PAR testing of the Mars Hydro TSL 2000 indoor grow light with the Apogee MQ 500 PAR meter. The PAR numbers look good so far and I'm really liking this indoor grow light. This light gets a little hot but nothing a fan won't take care of.

    I have 3 of these lights absolutely crushing it in a 4x8 tent. I got a par meter and spaced them like many of the 3 bar lights on the market. I could use a 4th light I guess, but you definitely dont need it to get big colas throughout.

    Hello, i have one question that may sound stupid but it's really worrying me, hopefully somebody can help me.
    Did you look at the light directly without dark glasses? Did you notice any discomfort?
    I just got this light and turned it on to see if all the diodes work. It was extremely bright on maximum, so i put on sunglasses (cheap 5€ summer sunglasses from a supermarket, no IR/UV protection or any of that)
    But with sunglasses it became even worse, after only few seconds of looking at the light, i felt stinging and slight burning in my eyes, and now i have a slight headache and a weird feeling in my eyes. Honestly it's scaring me, i don't know if the IR could damage my eyes in only few seconds. Could it be just a temporary discomfort from too much brightness or something serious?

As they are get closer to that explosive veg I been turning up the dial a bit every 5 days or so and keeping the same light distance of 36" until they grow into it. Which I expect to be flowering at that time and wanting those high pars. That's the game plan as of now.

    • @MikeKincaid79
      @MikeKincaid79  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seedlings are much more versatile in how much light they get. Since they start as seeds, you can pretty much give the surface of the soil as much or little intensity as you want. As the seedlings emerge they will acclimate from day 1. So it's not as critical as if you were to move some rooted cuttings under the light or move a plant under it that is acclimated to different lighting.
