@@MoonMe00 after consulting and reading a lot, 5 x 5 is hard to cover however so far I think the the HLG 650 is one of the best option or the Spider Farmer SF-4000

Per Mars Hydro: For the SP 3000 and SP 6500 lights, the previous version is with IR and UV chips. Since March, we have moved the IR and UV from the SP 3000, SP 6500, and FC 6500 lights. Also, the new FC-E6500 light doesn't have IR and UV chips. The reason is that these lights' main customers are personal growers who pursue the best results or the commercial project customers; they prefer to independently control the IR and UV lights time, don't need the IR and UV chips on the light itself. Mars Hydro also will issue independent IR and UV lights in the second half of the year.

I am a huge fan, I have bought lights based on your reviews and I would love to see you get a 4x4 for testing so I can see you do better reviews, love your work.
1. You forgot to mention IR LEDs also.
2. Back switch is for Master / Slave. the one you control other 16 with.
3. Putting hanging places close to center is required to retain structural integrity as it seems, this thing will be too long and people love to put drying buds on the stuff or just to put their hands on it to check temp.
It's an amazing light, I have TS1000 upgraded version and 3x3 tent, it rocks 4x autos or 2x big girls, consuming 150W. I added 30W of UV combined bulbs to the tent, since this thing does not have UV, but has IR. I am going to upgrade later this year to Mars Hydro 4x2 tent and SP3000
Think about 3 of these new 3000 in a 5×5 tent would kick ass!! They just need a new larger light that you could add 100 watts of power additions to the unit at an additional cost!! That's it! They make added editions all the way up to 1000watt at the wall per unit I think I'd buy one

Lol I did the exact same thing with the power switches wondering why in the hell the dimmer wouldn’t work with my TSL2000. Only took a minute to figure it out but had a moment of panic thinking I had a defective light and then happiness after flipping switch.
Yeah that was my experience as well lol.
what is with the switches? I just got a sp3000 and the back switch turns the light off when I flip it up, and when I flip it down, it turns on full blast. Is it supposed to be on full blast with the switch flipped up or down? Thank you for any insight. :)

I love the sp150 and 250. Justincredible results. Haha. Wish it ran more wattage. Seems kinda low. Even the sp250 cranked can hit 299w and mega bright. I know this shortens lifespan of the unit. But at 240 I’m getting insane results from the 250. Better than store bought 🍅.100%

Mine should be here in a few days! 👍👍( update) This light is awesome!!! You definitely can tell it is more red than the ts series hands down, it also seems besides that it is a far more "clear" sun like spectrum. So far uber impressed and in veg it is kicking a$$ at 60% power and about 24 inches, cant wait another few weeks for flower. Easily out does 3 ts1000's at 100% with the sp 3000 also on 100%
Definitely best light for a 2×4 for complete coverage and $399 is not expensive.. people have gotten spoiled with inexpensive but inefficient leds from China via Amazon..

The XS4000
And Growlight science 300s are the best value performance quality components and overall build.
Viparspectra XS4000 is probably a lil better build and has Meanwells flagship HLG series driver. Has more power too. Which its better to run a light at a reduced capacity than full tilt. Which allows the grower to dial in DLR. And PAR.
With all that at cost Viparspectra XS4000 edges it out.
But the 3 I listed are absolutely fantastic value and hard to beat.
I just got a SP 3000 from Amazon and it only pulls 369 watts. They do not test them or do not care. I think everyone needs to test their lights. I am sending it back for a new one.
China turns every product they make disposable.

i tried to order one of these on june 15th. had a horrible experience :( they emailed me saying there would be a delay in getting more stock to the us. around early july they shipped me a package and inside was not the sp3000 but a spider farmer sf1000! yes mars and spider farmer are the same company! then after i jumped thru hoops to prove to them that they sent me the wrong light they said they would ship me the right one early august! so i emailed them like wtf why so long? so i canceled my order and they refunded me part of my $. i still had to pay them for the sf1000. i'll gladly win a free one justin that would be sweet but im never dealing with mars again, only gona buy from U.S. companies
I assure you mars and spider farmer ARE NOT the same company. I have contacts at both companies. No idea why they would send you that light since they are literally different companies and I'm also not sure why you would accept it when there is a massive difference between a sf1000 and a sp3000 in box size. You also have a return policy. You could just return it all.
I'm pretty sure Andrew is right about them being the same company. I remember when I was going through the spider farmer official website checkout, at the bottom of the page it said Mars Hydro for the company in small print.

Hey yeah. Mars stepping it up. I would actually rock that light. Samsung diodes, daisy chainable, and dimmable. As Justin would say, and I quote “killing the game” this light will kill the game. i am curious why everyone uses SP250 (and SP3000) and not the TSL 2000? its much cheaper, same watts, has reflector, and like almost half the price
In a greenhouse this style doesn't block as much natural light , my personal reason

@@tmoneyg4811 you could try it depends on how big they are really. It’s possible to pull 1lb with only 250 watts but it’s not going to be easy. You’ll need the right strain and perfect growing. You’d have to pretty much match my personal best of 1.91 grams per watt.
Oh ok sweet something I can try and shoot for. But not this round I'll prolly just go with three. What's ur thoughts on using light at full or close to full strength for veg and flower but just have light raised so par is where it needs to b for each stage so u don't shock the plant going from dim to bright for flower

Will 1 unit do a 4x4 tent? Im currently using a DIY i built with photon fantom wavy and fusion boards but looking for new light.
1 does 2x4, 2 for 4x4 Tent is perfect.

I need your experience. I have a 1.2mx 1.2mx 2.0m and I am currently using the Wakym 1200W. But I want to buy a new lamp for the tent. Which lamps would you recommend for the tent size?
Would you recommend 3 tsw2000 for a 4x8 tent? Or what set up would be best for that setup?
I love these lights I have some bavas 280w but I can never use these all they way though after veging because as the plant grows the leds have to go higher so you lose the light fast below a certain level so I then have to switch to sodium, but they save me a ton of £££.

Hey Justin, what light or lights do you recommend for a 8’X4’ Tent? I would like to only have to buy 1 or 2 lights, and I don’t want to spend a fortune. My budget is around $400-$600.
Maybe for that kind of money for such a big tent you can find 3 used 1000 watt HPS or 2 new ones.

Yo Justin do you have to have a certain grade of protective glasses to see the UV light because I just got my sp3000 and I'm almost positive it does not have UV an I can see other differences between mine and the one they sent you
